Estrel hotel is a large complex with rooms, congress center etc, always full of people. Although the hotel tries to come accross as something exceptional, the experience was rather average. Rooms are good and beds are comfy, what is missing is any equipment for cooking yourself a cup of tea, coffee or similar. Minibar offers water for 5 EUR/bottle. Breakfast was nice and lots of options. Staff always helpful. A small gym and wellness also part of the hotel, we didn’t dare to try it since there might be millions of people as all the time in this hotel.😀 What is the most disturbing and actually disgusting 🤮 thing is the smokers in front of the immediate entrance. Should you come from down where the stairs are, get ready to fight yourself a way through the cancer-giving wall of smoke. Ridiculous. A hotel that strives to be great should really dedicate a different special spot for those who love killing themselves and they should not be killing us, non/smokers. Some taxi drivers love to stop centimeters in front of the entrance, blocking everyone else to get in or out, guess a simple info table could fix this. PS: a bit strange neighborhood.

It’s an average place with slightly less than average staff especially room cleaning who tend to knock and enter without waiting for a reply. It’s very old. Not been updated for probably 30 years. Certainly the booking system is from the 1990’s. The give away was the guest commentary limited to 255 characters 🤣 Location is convenient for the event in the same building. But no other reason for staying here.

Our room smelled heavily like a smoking room. Therefore only 3 stars. Location close to airport, but far away from downtown. Service and location itself fantastic.

Cleanliness of room was good, but no tea, coffee and kettle, moreover the hotel provides ice bucket in room, but only one ice machine!! (Hotel has 4 wings and machine only at wing no.1!) The pillow was too flat even stack up :( Breakfast just ok with standard nothing impressed.

We ended up here by accident, but we’re so glad we did! The hotel is very clean and comfortable, just a short distance from the airport. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the food is absolutely delicious.

This was the worst restaurant experience i have ever had and i know how people like to be overdramatic, but me and my friends left in tears of laughter from how ridiculous this was. We orderd the finger food and god knows what we got. Of 6 mozeralla sticks, three were empty. Like how do you even do that, i wish i took a picture of that too. The other items (nuggets, wings and chili poppers) were either undercooked to the point where they were pink inside or just so bad that you can see the state in which three hungry guys left their plates in the end. The staff was nice and the idea has potential, but this place clearly thrives of of its outer appeal and one time customers. I included pictures of the diner seats and tv for fun, but yeah, I guess if you are looking for a laugh, not a meal and you also have 14€ to waste, you will love this place. If not, go get döner or something

The place is nice, good service, big portions. The food was nothing special. The sauce is pretty generic and too sweet. Again, nothing special. We ordered ribs, burgers and some chicken. If you don’t have high expectations, this place might suffice.

Upon entering, a heavy dampness and moisture smell immediately hit your nose. We ordered Cheese Burgers with a friend; the burger wasn't good, and the French fries were soaked in oil, lacking any crispiness. Without exaggeration, I can say it was the worst french fry I've ever tasted in my life. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I was far more excited to go here than I should have been. I can’t even explain why I was. I guess I wanted to try some American food in another country. Anyway, for starters, this was probably the most disgusting bathroom I have been in while in Europe. The toilettes are downstairs and before I could fully descend the stairs, the stench of urine smacked me in the face. The service was disappointing. Our waiter seemed a bit lost during our interactions and kept wandering off with seemingly no real purpose. It took about 10 minutes to get menus and then another 10-15 before he came to take our orders. Once we waited for a while, the server came to our table and began apologizing. Apparently our food had been served to someone else. He asked for our order again in order to have the kitchen make it. Sure, no problem. I can appreciate a mistake and an apology goes a long way with me. However, he had never even brought our beverages. So, we provide our order again. And then the wait ensues. We waited for a very very long time. I had to ask the server what the hold up was. People that came in after us were getting their meals. The excuse was a busy kitchen. This didn’t make sense to me because our order should had been bumped to the front after the mix up. I will say that the actual food we got was good. I ordered a simple nacho plate. My wife ordered some kind of chicken fajita. The food is how they ended up with the second star. Most likely, this isn’t a normal experience. I do, however, hold service high up on my list of relevance so it drove my review down. Hopefully your experience is better.

The atmosphere is amazing. Looks almost like Pops of Riverdale. Great service as well. However, the food didn't convince us (hope they will improve it).

Adorable place! Amazingly delicious food for a reasonable price! And with this level of tastiness, when you just can’t stop eating, the size does matter! And the size is actually really big! 😉 Everything cooked just perfectly! The tastiest fish and chips! Wonderful roast-beef! Very good Guinness and Kilkenny beer! And very friendly staff! Btw, Karina is simply the best! And the live music is really good as well! Strongly recommended place!

What a lovely pub, great service from the Irish bar tender. The bar itself is really cool, high stools and a fabulous copper ceiling feature and pipes which is functional to the set up. Visited the ladies, sadly that left a lot to be desired. I can’t say I enjoyed the experience.

It is a perfect place to visit for the Irish pub experience. Service was fast, and beer choices were plentiful. Food is simple but tasty. It's located in a central area under Hackescher Markt Bahnhof and close to the river.

Very much an Irish pub. I had the vegan burger, which was the best one I've ever had. Service was super. The seats were a little uncomfortable and the bathrooms were definitely bar bathrooms.

Awesome place for a good dinner or breakfast. The service is quick and very friendly, always up for a chat about whatever. We got an Irish breakfast there which we thoroughly enjoyed, it was quite large meaning we didn't really have to do a lunch. Which meant it was fully worth the price it is.

Excellent place to visit! The selection of beers is amazing. The service was brilliant, as soon as I had an empty glass I was offered another beer! They even reacted very well when my partner knocked a couple of drinks over me!!! Will be back again next time I’m in Berlin!!

Food was great, they had really good decor with the photos and the table settings they actually have enough space to sit comfortably. Can accommodate large groups 👍🏾. Only issue was the ceilings lights point right into your eyes 😂 But worth visiting they had fast service even when it was crowded

A cool place to visit! Situated right on the river, you have a choice of outdoor or inside seating. We opted for the tasting paddles to start, which were great value for money. We also had a couple of side dishes (to soak up the alcohol), and the portions were very generous. After 5 p.m., the bar operates a stock exchange format where beers go up and down in price depending on their popularity. Definitely recommend visiting.

I had raspberry streusel cake which was very good. My Dad had cheesecake which was ok and my son had Wiener Wuerstchen with Goulash sauce which was just ok and too pricey for this kinda dish. The coffee was excellent. I went to Einstein a lot years ago. I think I liked it better then. But still good.

Food was very nice, and location is great. Service was too slow and apple strudel was not so good in my opinion. Also - very much overpriced!!

Best schnitzel i had. Starting from butter based potatoes were soo smooth and tasty, proper meat and proper crunchy schnitzel, for salads simple but Devine cucumber 🥒. Definitely worth it👌.

I’ve been a loyal customer for years and whenever I am back in Berlin I’ll make sure to visit Einstein. Top location and food. Prices slightly on the higher end but the quality and service are worth it. Great spot to relax, read a bit in the daily newspapers (provided for free) and reset.

I left the place in an upset mood, and will try to avoid it in the future. The food was delicious, and the service was great up until the moment when we asked for the bill. The service person said that they accept tips that are at least 10% of the bill, and simply refused to take less, which I personally found baffling. The prices are in my opinion rather high, although the food is also high quality, delicious and made with great care. We ordered coffee and cakes, and liked them. The place does accept card payments. Overall, the tips policy soured my otherwise great experience, and I would not recommend the place.

What am amazing atmosphere & a memorable experience. It was a Saturday night, the restaurant was busy but the staff managed to find us a table for 9. All staff were courteous & helpful but a special mention to Jatin who looked after us very well. His suggestions for drinks and dessert were helpful to order dishes to suit our taste.

Amrit really gives you Indian vibes. The atmosphere and interior is beautiful. The menu is huge - there's really something for everyone... The service is very friendly and prices are okay. I recommend to share a lot of different things. A good restaurant for bigger groups.

Not good. I ordered butter chicken, asked for spicy and it wasn’t spicy in the least. The chicken had a very odd texture. Somewhere between gummy and rubbery? The curry/gravy was too oily. Also the chicken was bright red. There is no way it was a natural color and I’m afraid it was some type of food dye or coloring. Finally there was a quarter-sized piece of plastic in my salad! Skip and find a better Indian place.

First day to Berlin with my best friend , so he does about to try me this delicious Indian restaurant that proposes a very good typical dishes. The location is very beautiful and clean . The room staff is polite and kind. I advise it.

We were welcomed nicely by the staff but I noticed just a few spoke German. It took like 30 Minutes for our order to be taken. Mocktail was refreshing. I had high hopes for the chicken Chicken tikka masala but it was average. However, I enjoyed the lamb dish and samosas we ordered. The garlic naan tasted more like just normal naan. All in all an average experience.

Great pork knuckle to go with some salad. Sausage is to the smaller portion side so if you have a good appetite might want to order extras. Beer is good and comes with 3 different sizes, good for tasting.

We were there for lunch,we ate schnitzel with homemade potato salad.It was good very good,portions are very big.Also drink 1,5l blond beer which was also very good.The stuff was very nice our waiter especially!! Definitely recommend and make sure you have a reservation.

Really great! I sat down at about 4:45 by myself and someone took my order really quickly. Food and drink came out fast. I got the pork schnitzel with potato salad and oh man was it good! A little pricey but it's in a major tourist area so that's to be expected.

Very tasty german food (pork schnitzel and pork knuckle), lovely atmosphere and great service. The place can get busy, so if you are a larger group it’s probably better to make a reservation. The food came our very fast also.

Food is amazing, I recommend the apple strudel. One of the best I've tried. Giving just 3 stars because beer orders tend to accumulate at the bar, and they pour the same beer to a different glass before giving it to you to give the impression is just served. A bit dodgy.

Great place for authentic German food and beer. Good disability access but not sure if they have disabled toilets. We didn't need them so didn't ask. They squeezed us in easily and the service from Cristian was great. Really looked after us with recommendations, getting us the drinks and food quickly and even tips on condiments. All the food was great. We had the knuckle of pork, the vegetarian Mushrooms in cream and the Fried Course sausage. All delicious! Portions are good. Not cheap but not that expensive. Also had the Apple Strudel which was also lovely but I had drank and ate too much so only had a mouthful. Very good place and recommend it esp the service from Cristian and his lovely assistants.

Excellent food and very good service. We made reservation here for dinner because the placexwas wellknown and very crowded. We had an excellent dinner with Pork chuckle (very tasty and crispy fried skin), Curry Wurst, Veal Schnitzel, Pork cheek and of course Augustiner Beer. We enjoy the food and atmospere which was very lively. We ended up with Apple Strudel which was very good indeed. The service was very good and the waiter were very nice and friendly. The price is not so high and very reasonable. Highly recommened.

This is a true German restaurant, therefore, expect the German experience. We pay for bathroom use, food is flavored with herbs and spices and NOT salt or oil. I kind of like that, since I rather have a boiled wurst, than a fried or grilled one. I had the white wűrst, two sausages boiled in water with green onions. They had a real intestine casing, and the meat inside had great flavors of herbs and pork. The mustard (seed based)served on the side is a little tart and spicy, not your regular yellow processed mustard. So, if you want to taste true German food, I would recommend coming to this restaurant. I experienced great service from staff and had no issues with the order.

They took me in right away and service was fast. They are able to speak English and offer an English menu in case you need it. The food tasted good, but the crispy pork was a bit dry and chewy. Oktoberfest beer was great!

Designed like a typical Bavarian Brauhaus (brewery). In my option, one of the best German lager-style beers. Drafting with a lot of foam. Years ago, we went there for the lunch deal and enjoyed it very much.

Block House is an outstanding dining establishment with exceptional service provided by Mr. Nico. The ambiance was welcoming, and even with a high number of patrons, the staff efficiently managed everything. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the entire dining experience was truly enjoyable. Mr. Nico's hospitality added a special touch to the evening. I highly recommend Block House for a memorable and delicious dining experience, thanks to the impeccable service by Mr. Nico.

Popped in here after the Berlin marathon for a much needed steak. For some reason I was stood waiting almost 20 minutes to be seated despite there being lots of tables available. It seems the waiters will not seat anyone themselves, and wait for the sole front-of-house guy to do it. He wasn't available so a large queue grew behind me as we all waited for him to appear to seat us. Once finally seated however the steak was very good and the service otherwise excellent. Just a bit marred by the difficulty getting seated!

Top steak house in common block house quality. We enjoyed a good mix of Caesar Salad, Rib Eye Steak, some Beef Tartar and Bruschetta. Absolute recommend as service was as well very good.

Expensive, I attached the size of soup gulash and Cesar salad , there was only lettuce, it's funny, it cost 7 euros for this. And 12 euro for two soups. The size like a cup of tea. We asked the waiter twice for the bill and that we should pay by card, she brought the bill and left. We waited and decided to pay at the exit, but they rudely told us that payment was at the table. and we had to return with our clothes and things back. The place positions itself as a restaurant, but in reality it's just nonsense. overrated. very crowded, tables are too close. You are literally sitting next to strangers at the same table. There are better places.

Maximilians is the greatest restaurant that serves traditional Bavarian dishes. The location is perfect - just near checkpoint Charlie. Everything is perfect, the waiter was really friendly and the food is delicious! I've ordered the pork knukle with cabbage and potatoes salad, goulash soup (amazing), Wiener Veal Schnitzel with cranberries sauce and chicken breast with pasta and tomato sauce. Also they have plenty of beer options. Great experience, will come back again soon. Berlin rocks!

Overall quite a cold environment to have meal and a drink. They have small heaters which work for the tables right next to them. But everyone else is left cold. We had a family with kids sitting next to us, who jumped a the chance to change tables to sit at one near the small heaters. The food was good and the service was excellent. Overall good, but not relaxing experience.

Fabulous food, highly recommended. Must book! We ended up in the terrace as walk-ins, and the atmosphere was flat. Looked a lot better inside. Great food though, so worth the visit.

Huge restaurant that served authentic German fare, though our friends in Berlin told us that it was a bit of a tourist trap. The staff were dressed traditionally and the space was airy. We had the best meal here out of all the restaurants we visited during our German leg. Beer was crisp and fresh tasting, food wasn’t too salty, and we loved that they excelled in both the pork knuckle and sausage. Apple strudel came with both custard and ice cream which was a double thumbs-up in my books. A worthy visit if you are in Berlin. Yum!!! Downside was that tips were expected for use of the loo, then again, it seemed that use of toilets were chargeable in Germany. Just found that making customers pay for toilets a bit strange.

Amazing German restaurant!!! Everything is divine! We ordered Big Munich Sausage, Pretzel Bavarian with white sausage and Veal Meat Balls! All were tasty! We recommend!
