I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights (2 of them unplanned), and i can say that this hotel is simply great. Service and attitude of all the staff members was simply perfect ! They really are so nice and attentive to all needs, with a lot of patience and always with a smile. I saw many families in the hotel, and if I return to visit Florence with my family in the future- I will definitely put this hotel in my first priority. Location - approx. 30 min of a very nice walk along the river and in the amazing streets towards the main city places

I had a great stay at FH55 Grand Hotel. The hotel is clean and beautiful, with a perfect location right next to the river and close to major attractions. The room was modern and well-equipped, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of options. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I would definitely stay here again!

I booked a 1 night stay on Christmas eve and I was really surprised because for what I have paid (very economical) given it is holiday season, it was beyond expectation. The breakfast was abundant and had lots of options, plus the staff were really accomodating and hospitable. I Will stay again if in Florence.

Lobby and 0 floor corridors leading to restaurants tastefully and elegantly decorated. Restaurants had good ambience, and quality if not outstanding food. Restaurant service quick and efficient but a bit abrupt. Restrooms clean and befitting a 5 star hotel. Rooms were found in dated, narrow corridors showing some age and separated into different wings. Inside the rooms, everything seemed to be in good order and clean and newer than the corridors. My single room was a bit small for a 4⭐️hotel. Acoustics were bad and I could hear comings and goings the whole night. Safe, kettle, coffee fixings and mini fridge with complimentary still and sparkling water welcomed guests to the room with enough space to hang clothes. Location was good to see the major sights in Florence. It’s a 15 minute walk or about 2500 steps to Starbucks, the Florence Cathedral, Baptistry, Piazza Michelangelo, Giotto’s Bell Tower

I had an unexpected health issue during my stay at the hotel, and I cannot thank Barbara at the front desk enough for her kindness and professionalism. She went above and beyond to ensure I received the help I needed, arranging for a private doctor to visit me in my room and even organizing the pickup of my medication from a local pharmacy. Her genuine care and swift action made an incredibly stressful situation so much easier to handle. Barbara is truly a credit to the hotel, and her dedication to guest well-being deserves special recognition.

Where do I even start…this place was an amazing experience. We arrived 10 mins before open which was a good plan as a line formed pretty quick. We made a friend in line that we ended up sitting beside, which made the experience better! We got the T-Bone steak because…when in Florence. Duh! The truffle pasta was also great - not overpowering. The spinach paired with the steak was a great choice. Our new friend who sat beside us shared some of his roast beef with us which was also amazing. But if there is one thing that you MUST take away from my review…it’s that you MUST get the berry cheesecake. It was a highlighted sweet treat during our trip in Italy which says a lot, I think!! We also ordered two glasses of white wine which was delicious and amazing when sipped while eating the pasta.

Amazing food! I love the rich, creamy flavor of the black truffle pasta. And you can add as much cheese as you want (the jar of cheese is on the table, so you don't have to ask the waiter every time).I love that!🧡🧡

Has an awesome dinner here of lasagna, cod filled ravioli and ossobuco. Great casual atmosphere and phenomenal food. People around us seemed to rave about the steak Florentine.

The Florentine steak to absolutely delicious! The roasted potatoes was great too. Highly recommended if you are up for the meat. It costs around 6eur/100 grams and the small option of around 700g and sides would work well for two people.

It’s a family-run restaurant serving delicious Tuscan food with a lively atmosphere and great service. We’ve been twice and had the steak, tiramisu, tortellini in brodo, ossobuco, and steak stew and they were all amazing. The servers are really friendly as well. If you want to eat at 19:30 definitely make a reservation.

Great food and service. We had 1.3kg of the Fiorentina steak to share, with green beans and fried artichokes on the side. The meat was succulent, tasty and cooked rate, which is exactly what we asked for. The sides were fine (nothing special, but not a complaint as we got relatively basic stuff). We had some small gripes: 1) The toilet situation is so pretty ridiculous as of mid-November. The renovation works going on mean that there is one solitary toilet available, which you must exit the building, go along a segregated hallway and down to one single toilet. It’s very strange, but I’ve not removed a star for this as it is due to works going on to improve facilities. 2) The starter portions could’ve been more generous. Two, admittedly thick, pieces of salami, was not really enough for what we paid. This was similar with the picked porcini mushrooms, which consisted of a few small pieces of mushroom and some dry salad. 3) They were busy and our waitress was awesome but when she delegated tasks, like bringing another drink, it could take a long time. Overall, the experience was brilliant and we’d return again with family and friends.

Stopped here in Florence for a lunch while passing by, the inside of the restaurant was so beautiful. We were sat over the road in the inside outdoor seating area, rather than in the restaurant. On the table people had florentine steak, pastas and chicken - i got lemon chicken myself and it was delicious. For someone who doesn’t often eat a lot of meat, this was flavoured so amazingly! The staff were helpful and they kept checking on us. Good if you’re passing by!

The place was full of tourists, but it had an authentic feel to it. Florentine steak was outstanding, interior had some construction going on, but there was also seating outside. Service was speedy. We had a reservation, and they place was pretty full. Fried zucchini was also on point.

This place was wonderful! Order the Florentine steak of course. Eat it the way the chef cooks it. I don’t normally eat my steak rare, but it was cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly, wine was good and food was great! Come here if you want to eat great food and ambiance.

We ordered the florentin steak and it was very delicious when it first came, it was a little too rare for us, but they ended up cooking it more. Their squash blossom and their fried Artichoke were also very delicious. They have both outdoor and indoor seating available.

Molto benne! I highly recommend this place. Here you'll be fed with a large amount of delicious Italian food. And at very good prices, even though it's near to the Palazzo Vecchio. We tried to make a reservation by phone for a Saturday night, but there were no seats. We went to the place around 8:00 PM, waited 10 minutes and were seated. The atmosphere is casual, simple and ordinary. The waiters are very smiling and friendly. The elderly lady, who I assume is the owner, is very attractive and kind. Most importantly - the food is incredibly delicious at a very good price. We ordered lasagna, Caprese salad and Spiced beef. The lasagna was freshly cooked and still simmering on the plate. Extremely delicious. We've could not eat one dish and asked them to put it in a take-away box. No problem. When we left there was a big line of people waiting, so be on time to be able to get in.

We were recommended this restraunt by one of the locals from our hotel. And we were not disappointed. I've read some of the one star reviews below and I suggest that these are ignored completely. The staff were very engaging and attentive and I was instantly charmed by the traditional Italian feel of the surroundings. The menu was very varied and there were plenty of wines to choose from and it was not expensive. The food was so well presented and everything tasted fresh. I would recommend booking in advance because it is a very popular place and gets very busy. We spent nearly €100 between 2 but had 3 courses and a bottle of vino. This place would be ideal for travellers on a budget.

Wow! We were really impressed with this restaurant. Huge meal sizes and fantastic prices. All the food we ate was fresh, super tasty and served quickly. Service was very friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back!

A Hidden Gem Near the Uffizi! We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance after leaving the Uffizi Gallery, absolutely famished. It was around 3 PM, just after lunch hours, and fortunately, it wasn’t too busy. From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The food was really delicious, and just what we needed after a long morning of exploring. It was more than a year ago and that’s the only photo I have, I had t plate as you can see and even I was hungry, I also took a bit to go. My mom had lasagna and it was very delicious indeed. This place was a fantastic find, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in the area!

You know you're in for a treat when greeted with those amazing smells. I had the lasagna which was the best I've ever had. Very relaxed and cosy evening. You just may need to book ahead.

What an absolutely delightful lunch! Every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor, and the house wine was a perfect complement. We enjoyed our meal on the charming upstairs terrace, which added a special touch to the experience. The customer service was exceptional—attentive yet unhurried, with spot-on recommendations that elevated our meal. It was a bonus that all the waitstaff spoke English fluently, especially since my Italian is practically nonexistent! I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

Definitely recommend the T-bone steak!!!! First time and it was delicious. Pricey but totally worth your time. We didn’t have to wait long for a spot.

Very nice experience, thanks to the promotion, we enjoyed a very nice piece of T-bone steak. The meat is tender and very impressive in quantity. Maybe a suggestion for the wild meat pici, the tomate sauce seems a bit strong, but everyone has his own taste. Recommend to give a try if you are not too far.

Started out very promising. Appetizers of bruschetta and burrata with honey were very good. I had a steak which was quite good. My colleagues had pasta dishes which were ok but we've definitely had better. Although friendly, it seemed our server was deliberately ignoring us. I understand restaurants in Europe give much more space to their clientele, but this was out of the ordinary.

Amazing service, menu items, and food quality. They seated us right away and very attentive in service. Would absolutely return. 100% get the Steak Florentine to share but be prepared to be full!

I just found this place while walking around the street. I really enjoyed my lunch with reasonable price. Only €12 !! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I want to recommend this place to others. To be honest, i don't remember the name of the dish because the customer sitting next to me recommended it. 🤣 So i didn't even know what i was eating. But it was really really perfect 😍 Also, meatballs with mashed potato was sooo good ❤️

A gem in Florence. Food is reasonably priced and was delicious. Make a reservation otherwise you could end up getting turned away due to full capacity. Loved the restaurant and service. Went two days in a row. If you order the Florentine steak by the kilo it is enough for two hungry people.

The spaghetti was good. The pizza was pretty good as well probably one of the better pizzas I have had in Italy. The main concern for my review of the low rating would be the patron. I was eating with order the spaghetti. I ordered the pizza. The pizza came out 20 minutes later than the spaghetti the patron and I had to sit there, staring at the spaghetti get colder by each minute waiting for my pizza. The restaurant was not especially busy that night. Overall the experience was good excluding this which I cannot forgive.

Great restaurant, recommended by my host. My expectation was not high at the beginning, but had a pleasant surprise. Pappardelle with beef sausage is okay. We ordered pizza with sausage and pepper, which is quite delicious. Sauce is tasty, peppers are fresh and sweet. Roasted pork rib is stunning. The portion is bigger than I expected and also tasted great. Price is very reasonable, especially in a place close to the central travel zone. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful experience to eat like locals amongst locals! The prices and value are unbelievable. There are daily lunch specials, that are targeted towards to serving accessible, quality meals to at affordable prices. There is a queue that builds before opening but everyone moved orderly. The hustle of the wait staff kept on top of order fulfillment. Will definitely be back.

We were hungry from the early train journey from Rome, add on the delayed arrival, seeing McD is a bonanza. Ordering is simple via machines but the delivery of a cup of coffee is slow, i see only one person handling the drinks/croissant station and so many ppl crowding around there. Pity the staff who seemed overworked and this is just early morning. Waited for quite sometime and by the time i got to the sundae station, the ice cream had partly melted 😢 seating is aplenty and some has nice window seats facing the train station. There is security too which made us feel safe 👍🏻

Outside of Firenze SMN station. Quite big and fast service in a weekday morning. We were able to get quick takeout for our train ride to Venice.

First time trying a McDonald's in Italy. I think it's a usual McDonald's. The service is super fast. I had a chicken burger and liked it. They had cream (I am not 100% sure) in the burger instead of American cheese, and I liked how it tasted. Also the bun tasted fresh.

This is a 24h outlet just right across the Firenze St Maria Novella Centrale. Very popular with tourists and students. Not as stifling warm as other McD outlets as it’s well air conditioned. The crew is pretty efficient most of the time and no matter how long the queue is the waiting is brief. There’s a good variety of pastries but may not be all that fresh if kept overnight. There’s a bouncer here just like in other McD outlets and this guy here is friendly and does his job well in keeping out unwanted guests.

The street store in front (sells bags and stuff) is checking for tourists and lets pickpockets know who to steal from. Watch out don’t buy from them stay wary

While staying at Hotel Savoy, we enjoyed an amazing breakfast directly across the street. We ordered a cappuccino, red orange juice, pancakes with maple syrup and fresh fruit, scrambled eggs with bacon, toast and a pastry that was topped with strawberries. All of the items were delicious and prepared with care. The restaurant was extremely busy and service was a bit slow. However, our server was very friendly and accommodating, which made up for the slow pace of service.

The cafe is lovely and looks authentic. However, the service is slow and the cappuccino I had was tasteless. I expected much more from what is probably the oldest cafe in Florence. I advise you to take some of their wonderful pastries on the go. This way they are significantly cheaper. You can drink your coffee at one of the wonderful rooftop bars in the city center with a view of the cathedral.

Pepe and Tommy are so kind! When I told them I was on my honeymoon, they gave me chocolate and bread for free! I visited twice while I was in Florence, and the coffee was really great! They were so nice to talk to and I had a great time drinking.

Nothing much can be said in this oldest cafe in Florence. To save some money, opt for the bar seat and you can lower priced drinks and pastries. All the pastries are fluffy and fresh. Excellent atmosphere but I would avoid the crowd by heading next door which is right beside. Same food quality but lesser crowd.

There was a sort of kids event and it was quite noisy having them around running around the place. But the service was good and the food as usual in the hard rock chain.

Great service and good cocktails. Good was very nice and served quite quickly! Our waiter/host was very friendly and professional. He said it’s was his first week, but we had great training or he is just a natural. Every employee speaks great English, so it was nice to have an actual conversation for a change. Great work guys, keep it up!

This 5 star review is mainly based on the service our bartender Gabriel (from Brazil) gave us. The drinks were super good and his service was top notch. He even interacted with our teenage son talking about basketball and transmitted a great vibe.

Definitely would go there again! Staff was very friendly with us and the food was the delicious. Not only that but the merch shop had so many options!

The sandwiches are very tasty and juicy. There are so many options. They are quite large so that you almost can't eat the whole thing. If someone is not very hungry but would like to try a sandwich, in that case one sandwich would be enough for 2 people. Usually there is always a line and crowd, but they are very well organized so that you don't have to wait long.

The food was excelent, you can make the sandwich how you like it. They has the best sandwich. The place is for takeaway. The place is small and is not to stay on it because they don't have many desks and chairs to eat. The service is good but it is difficult to understand when they talk to you since the music is too loud.

This is a recommendation from many visitors. Long queue for sandwich purchase. A lot of selections available including a lot of vegetarian options. Sandwich felt small and thin, would have liked a slightly bigger piece. Bread is slightly hard but once the fillings are in it’s manageable. Not many seats inside, your cable to eat on the street but watch for the birds.

I visited in early December around 8 pm and there was no line. I walked right in and ordered 4 of their most popular sandwiches. They were delicious, but honestly nothing too crazy!! They make their bread which is delicious and the staff is nice and friendly. There are some tables for customers to sit at and enjoy their food.

I am going often to the one located in NY. Was in vacations and Went to Florence with my best friend We kept seeing people walking and eating “all’ Antico Vinaio “sandwiches. My friend was impressed with the lines ( 3 stores next to each other ) All were really busy, but it went really quick, we only had to wait for the bread to come out the oven. The menu selection was bigger than the one in NYC. ( maybe double choices) We ate on site, was really fresh and delicious.
