2 months ago Rick Tracy- why does he think this place is on the list?

It's probably the best cheeseburger with the works +BBQ sauce I've had! Medium rare was perfect. It had great flavor. The buns were soft yet held up even though the burger was very juicy. Bag of fries made the meal complete. I will definitely eat here when I come back.

3 months ago Kissell Law Grouphow did he rate it?

You’ve found it! This place is so good! Bit hard to find, as there are not any signs on the street or inside the hotel. When you walk inside One One 9, look to the right and you’ll see stairs with red curtains… (see photo) The staff is extremely friendly. The burgers are simply perfect. No frills, just perfect execution. The fries may remind you of a popular golden arched establishment, but slightly better! Bring your marker to write on the walls and enjoy!

1 month ago Ophelia Ramilwrote only this for this place:

I’d seen this place in so many videos where people recommended it like it was a must-visit. Honestly, I have no idea why. The burger was the most tasteless, saltless one I’ve ever had, and the price was absolutely insane for what we got. The staff weren’t friendly either, and to top it off, you can’t even use the washroom just to wash your hands even after paying $22 for a burger. If I could go back in time, I would never have stepped foot in their restaurant. Definitely won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

4 months ago Giusievaluates this place as follows:

Great burger place, with a cool atmosphere and incredibly delicious food. The service is friendly and fast, and the burgers are to die for! The fries and milkshake are very good, too. The price is quite high, but 100% worth it, both for the deliciousness and the experience. Highly recommended!

1 month ago Mark Anneseevaluates this place as follows:

A hidden gem! Not your typical burger joint. The entrance is all theatre. Classic graffiti walls add to the vibe. Burgers are really good. This place gets busy very quickly and seating can be an issue. Reasonably priced for NY. Must try!

Dominique Ansel Bakery
We give 8.6/10!. This place was visited and rated 8835-times

What our travelers says:

3 months ago Nina Vicinowrote only this about this place:

This Bakery was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to New York! Crumpets were phenomenal, I ordered the special that had a strawberry cream filling (that I absolutely loved!) but there’s plenty of options available and they all look delicious. Coffee was great as well and they had veggie milks available. Perfect place for a to go order, but definitely worth staying for a while as the place is really cozy and beautiful.

2 weeks ago STEPHY LEUNG- why does he think this place is on the list?

At Dominique Ansel Bakery, the Frozen S’more is a must-try if you like sweets. The marshmallow is perfectly sweet and lightly crisp on the outside, with creamy vanilla ice cream inside, all wrapped in a thin layer of chocolate. Absolutely delicious!

1 month ago Jeff Tongwrote only this about this place:

Fair but nothing to write home about. The famed DKA (Dominique Kouign Amann) pales in comparison to the ones at La Maison d'lsabelle of Paris which won best croissant in Paris of 2018. The flavor of the DKA has a balanced caramel sweetness. However, the dough lacks enough butter and the shape prevents it from being crispy all across the outside, it's not a flat circle but poofy. The cronut is fun (although the icing makes it too sweet) and the watermelon sorbet refreshing. Service is professional. The atmosphere in the garden is especially airy.

2 weeks ago Rex Glassonwrote only this about this place:

This was my 3rd time stopping for a treat here. We had a bevy of treats this time. The cookie shot was whimsical and fun but eat it fast before the cookie is too soft. The frozen s’more took the longest to prepare but was worth it! The DKA always great and the cronut was splendid just not my favorite season filling this time. With all that it is a must stop when in SOHO. #doyouknowrex

1 week ago Natalie S- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

I was excited to come here, as they've been famous for the cronut for years. They have a nice selection of pastries, cookies, ice cream sandwiches and more. They have a really cool dessert, a cookie shot, a Cookie shaped into an oblong shape, filled with milk. The filling for the cronut is changed monthly. This month it was an apple filling. I didn't think I would like the cronut, but I did. It was delicious!

8. place - YOTEL New York Times Square

YOTEL New York Times Square
We give 7.8/10!. This place was visited and rated 9168-times

What our travelers says:

1 week ago Sierra Schroedersaid the following about this gem:

I had a great stay at YOTEL in Times Square! The highlight was definitely the staff—they were absolutely incredible. From check-in to checkout, every single person I interacted with was so helpful, friendly, and genuinely made me feel welcome. It’s rare to come across a team that goes above and beyond like that, and it made the experience so much smoother. The rooms themselves were comfortable for the price point. They’re not huge (as expected in NYC), but they’re designed smartly and had everything I needed. The bed was cozy, the space was clean, and it worked perfectly as a home base for exploring the city. I also really enjoyed the views—being right in Times Square, you get a true “New York” atmosphere right outside your window. It added a fun vibe to the stay and made the location even more special. Overall, YOTEL is a solid choice if you’re looking for a well-located hotel with fair pricing, great staff, and comfortable rooms.

1 month ago Lauren: it is necessary to add to this place:

The first time I stayed here it was amazing! Beds were able to be tilted, the room stayed cool the whole night, there were curtains for privacy…it would have been a 5 star. Fast forward (at least 8 years) this place has fallen apart. YOTEL has not kept up with the cleanliness and coolness of it long ago vibes. The rooms are dirty. The curtains for privacy are gone. The bed doesn’t tilt. The AC would turn off in the middle of the night and day-um it is hot and humid in NYC right now. The people at the bell stand are lazy. The woman at the desk does not speak English clearly enough to understand. I understand now the low prices. I ended up re booking a room before I head to the airport and this bed does tilt but it looks like some mauled it. The shower is growing mold. Everything is just gross. Don’t even let a toe touch the carpet! It’s haunting me even after washing it!

2 weeks ago Meghan Stark- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Great hotel at a fair price in a safe area. The room layout was very smart for comfort and utilization of space. Glad we could open up a window for air circulation whenever we wanted and we got great natural light. Location is close proximity to excellent dining and right by the Intrepid. Far enough from Times Square to avoid the mayhem but close enough to walk. Also a reasonable walk to Hudson Yards attractions. The staff was wonderful and attentive. It's a high traffic hotel with lots of people in and out, but it's run efficiently and kept tidy. There is a common area to work from your laptop as well, but they do often have events on that floor so there can be noise and activity on nights and weekends.

1 week ago Ron Ostertag- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

I've traveled all over the world and even Tokyo and these rooms are the smallest rooms I've ever seen. The rooms are so small the bed actually has an electrical fold up so you have two feet of space on the end of the bed to walk once the bed is folded up. Had a bumpy start with the room not being cleaned the first day and a half and on top of that at least requesting towels that never were delivered. We paid 300 usd a night and it's just simply not worth it. The bedding is just a collection of top sheets what's a comforter stuck in between by the morning everything is all messed up. There are no hydraulic dampers on any of the room doors so when someone enters or leaves their room their door slams and pretty much wake everyone up on that hallway.

3 weeks ago Nicolas Ramoswrote only this about this place:

This was a good hotel for a trip to New York City. Times Square is about a 16 minute walk away. There are a lot of restaurants in the area (Hell's Kitchen) and the Port Authority subway station with many lines that go all across the city is just a 10 minute walk away. It is also about a 15 minute walk from the cruise terminal, so it was convenient for me to embark on a cruise. I enjoyed some of the unique features of this hotel, such as the automated baggage storage system that was free to use. It was helpful to store my luggage while I explored the city. Checking in is very easily done through a kiosk and they offer early check-in for $60. I was able to check in as early as 9:30 AM which was very convenient. The rooms are a little small and worn, so I would stay here if you're just looking for a place to lay your head.

7. place - Keens Steakhouse

Keens Steakhouse

What our travelers says:

1 week ago Nick Wong: it is necessary to add to this place:

Amazing experience with fantastic meat! The deco was very distinctive and interesting and felt very historic Ordered sirloin, lamb chops and the famous mutton. Food was exceptional and cooked well. There was a slight mix up but changed immediately and staff very attentive and friendly. Had a football top on as was out all day and watched Arsenal game and even met a fellow fan in the form of the waiter lol Was really good experience and slightly pricey but worth it and one of the only places on visit where we were happy to pay a little more for tips Remember to reserve too as get booked up

1 week ago Raksina Winaitammakulhow did he rate it?

I had a wonderful dinner at Keen Steakhouse. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the cool atmosphere and the exceptionally friendly staff. The service was top-notch—attentive without being overbearing. For the main course, I ordered the filet mignon, which was absolutely divine and so tender it practically melted in my mouth. Don't skip dessert! The New York cheesecake was a highlight, rich and creamy, and a fantastic way to finish the evening.

1 month ago Pam Killoranwrote only this about this place:

Came here on a referral from a top Long Island steakhouse owner. The host greeted us warmly and accommodated our request to sit a half hour sooner than our reservation. Great table in the back in the pipe room. History of the place adds to the ambience. Lively atmosphere but not loud. Brenna and her team gave us great service and helped us celebrate my son's birthday. The filet mignon was cooked to order and tender. Same with porter house. Portions were generous. The Caesar salad was just okay. Same with the broccoli/cauliflower. Carrot cake is outstanding! Prices are on par with good steak houses.

1 month ago Amelia Tdescribed this experience as follows:

Wonderful food, service and ambiance. We came for a birthday celebration and the staff made it so special. Made the reservation a month in advance for prime time Saturday night. We loved the prime rib, fabulous! They came and sang happy birthday with a slice of cheesecake that made it so special. The room itself is really cool to see the pipes on the ceiling. It’s a huge restaurant with lots of rooms. Definitely recommend for a special occasion!

2 months ago Pat Z- why does he think this place is on the list?

Keens is 110% worth the hype. The ambience is top notch where you can hear others you are with. It’s very elegant inside. The staff was very attentive to our table and we had an amazing waitress! I never got her name but she made our night one to remember! All cuts of meat were phenomenal, the mutton, t bone, prime rib, all amazing. I thought the prime rib was very standout and a must have. For appetizers, the calamari salad and bacon were perfect starters. Bacon is a must-buy! Overall, it’s definitely worth it. I recommend doing a Resy Notify and hope to score a good time. Otherwise, you will have to book far out. Regardless it’s super worth it!

6. place definitely deserves Red Lobster

Red Lobster
Definitely deserves 8.6/10!. This place was visited and rated 11478-times

What our travelers says:

1 month ago Abdullah Felimban- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

My visit to Red Lobster in Times Square was nothing short of excellent. Located right in the middle of New York City’s most famous square, the restaurant is just steps away from the flashing billboards and bustling crowds. As soon as I stepped inside, it felt like I had entered a different world – a calm and cozy escape from the noise outside. The seafood-themed décor, warm lighting, and comfortable seating immediately set the tone for a relaxing meal. The service impressed me from the start. We were greeted with a warm smile, and our table was ready almost immediately. Despite the fact that the restaurant was busy, the staff managed everything so efficiently that we never felt like we had to wait. Our drinks arrived quickly, and before we knew it, our table was filled with fresh, steaming seafood dishes that looked and smelled incredible. We had decided to order a variety of plates to share, and every single dish exceeded our expectations. The lobster was the highlight – perfectly cooked, with tender, sweet meat that melted in my mouth. It was served with butter that complemented its flavor beautifully. The fish was equally delicious, flaky, and seasoned to perfection. The fish and chips came with a golden, crispy coating that was light yet satisfying, and the fries were fresh, hot, and perfectly salted. The fried shrimp were crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside, without being greasy at all. The boiled shrimp were plump, flavorful, and cooked just right – simple, but full of that fresh seafood taste. What made the experience even better was how attentive the staff were. They checked in at just the right moments – enough to make sure everything was perfect, but never in a way that interrupted our conversation or enjoyment. Our drinks were refilled promptly, and they made sure that everything on our table stayed clean and organized. The atmosphere was surprisingly peaceful for a restaurant located in one of the busiest places in the world. Even though Times Square was right outside the window, inside it felt calm and comfortable. The tables were spaced well enough to give us privacy, and the background music was soft and pleasant. The entire dining area was clean and well-maintained, and the restrooms were spotless. By the end of the meal, we were completely satisfied – not just because of the delicious food, but because the entire experience was smooth, relaxing, and enjoyable. For anyone visiting New York who loves seafood, I can’t recommend Red Lobster in Times Square enough. It offers a perfect combination of fresh, flavorful food, fast and friendly service, and a peaceful atmosphere in the heart of one of the most exciting places in the world. This is definitely a place I will come back to on my next trip to NYC

Food was fresh and delicious and the server Rose was very kind and courteous. She delivered on service. She kept asking how everything was and brought us our drinks and food in a timely manner. She was awesome!!! Great personality!!Absolutely the best server at Red Lobster in Times Square on 8/21/2025 one day before my birthday. Couldn’t desire better🎉🙌🏽

1 month ago Sai Preetham Basana- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

An incredible experience thanks to Donna! We recently visited Red Lobster for a special occasion and had a wonderful time. The food was absolutely delicious, but what truly made our night was the exceptional service we received from our waiter, Donna. It was our first time tackling a whole lobster, and we were struggling quite a bit, making a mess and wasting a lot of the delicious meat. Donna noticed our predicament and immediately came over to our table. She was so kind and helpful, explaining the entire process step-by-step. She even helped us with the cracking and showed us all the best tricks to get every bit of meat out. Because of Donna, what could have been a frustrating meal turned into a fun and memorable experience. She was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Thank you, Donna, for your fantastic service and for making us feel so welcome! We can't wait to come back!

What our travelers says:

2 months ago Maryna Stupak: it is necessary to add to this place:

🍔 Quick, tasty, and full of little surprises! We stopped by Shake Shack in the Theater District for a casual dinner — and it turned out to be a really great choice. The service was fast, and what’s nice is that they actually bring the food right to your table, which makes the experience more relaxed and enjoyable. 🙌 I ordered one of their classic burgers and was surprised by a fun little twist — crispy fried pickles in batter! 🥒✨ It was something different and added a nice crunch to the meal. Everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. There’s plenty of seating, which is a big plus in this area, and it didn’t feel cramped or noisy even during the dinner rush. Tables were clean, and the vibe was welcoming. ✅ Great for a quick bite before or after a Broadway show ✅ Fun menu twists (fried pickles, yes please!) ✅ Enough space to sit down and enjoy your meal If you’re in Midtown and need a fast, delicious, and hassle-free dinner — I definitely recommend this location of Shake Shack! 🍟🍔

4 months ago Franny Baedescribed this experience as follows:

Love their burgers! I always get them well done. They are nice and juicy and the best with lettuce tomato and onions. My baby had a mix of ice cream chocolate and vanilla with Oreo topping and he loved it. The staff was very accommodating attentive and friendly.

2 months ago Pawel Bwrote only this about this place:

Classic American indulgence – in the heart of the Theatre District Shake Shack in the Theatre District delivers exactly what you’d expect – juicy burgers, crispy fries and a cold beer to wash it all down. It's a full-on American calorie bomb, but if you're in the mood to treat yourself, this is the place. The atmosphere is casual and lively, perfect for a quick bite before or after a show. Just don't come here counting calories – this is unapologetic comfort food at its best.

3 months ago Paul Sunbedhow did he rate it?

Decent food, but the place could really use a clean. The burgers and chips were tasty as expected – classic Shake Shack quality. However, the inside of the restaurant was quite messy, with dirty tables and overflowing bins. It definitely took away from the overall experience. Shame, because the food itself was spot on.

Great food. Huge portions. Best if you are in a large group since each entree feed 3 people. We loved the calamari and chicken parmigiana. Very generous bread baskets. The titanic ice cream dessert was delicious. It’s a little loud so you have to speak loudly for conversation.

1 week ago ES SKexplained best how he liked it:

Honestly, I don’t even know what we ate, but that plate was straight-up family-size…and worth every single penny. The food’s fire, and this spot’s definitely made for three or more people. Leftovers? Next-day magic! Staff’s chill, vibes are good…won’t be the last time we roll through. Heads up though: if you wanna sit inside, reserve ahead. Otherwise, you’re outside or waiting in line.

Excellent experience! We had a reservation for 6pm. Pack your patience because it’s a popular restaurant. We were sat about 6:30pm which wasn’t bad. It was cold and raining but it was worth the wait. The food portions are MASSIVE! We had a party of eight and still had three big to-go boxes. I told the waiter my plan was to give food to people who needed it, and he added plasticware. He was awesome! It was my birthday and I was surprised with delicious ice cream. So good! Thanks, Carmines! Definitely returning next time!

Nick embodies the perfect balance of hospitality and charm service that truly matches the elegance of the setting.

2 months ago Kenzie Kramer- why does he think this place is on the list?

We came here in December for a little Christmas city trip! I’ve heard great things about STK, and it did not disappoint. We made a reservation for their rooftop, and the ambiance was stellar. (It was our first time so we weren’t quite sure where to go. You walk in the main entrance and go up on the elevator to the top floor.) There were heaters all around and it was perfect temperature. We loved everything that we ordered. I ordered a filet medium rare with asparagus and Mac and cheese. I asked for my asparagus well done. My husband ordered Waygu and asparagus as well. I will note their vegetables are seasonal. Overall, the staff struck the perfect balance between friendliness and sophistication, making us feel genuinely welcome without being overbearing. They made sure to ask about any food allergies, and were open to accommodations any. The vibe is just as memorable as the food. The roof area was covered with beautiful floral arrangements and luxurious pho- fur on the seats. Making it very cozy for the winter time. We will definitely be returning.

Don't listen to the reviews knocking the food. The food was excellent and in line with NYC dining out prices. We ordered the matzo ball soup, the rueben, the cheesesteak and short stack of pancakes w bacon..the portions were large, food was delicious and not greasy! The diner is clean and the service is phenomenal. Singers were amazing. Bathrooms also clean! We only waited maybe 10 min in line and got there around 11 am on Saturday. I come to the city ALL the time and have always skipped the Stardust but I'm glad we finally went! We were celebrating my daughter's 10th bday! We will def go back!

1 week ago Sanaya Bharucha- why does he think this place is on the list?

Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? I think so! If you’re a fan of musicals, this is such a fun space! The food is overpriced burgers and sandwiches for the most part, and the servers don’t always have time for you. But I still love going there! The performers are just incredible! Beautiful voices, born performers with all the sass and soul to go with it, and just so much fun!!

1 week ago Rebecca Allenhow did he rate it?

OK - so it’s touristy. But that’s what we went for. The entertainment from the servers was brilliant. It’s a fun and lively atmosphere whilst you enjoy your meal. The food was good and portion size was generous. It’s not the most amazing food in NYC, but it was perfectly good. The menu has some good choices with all the usual diner picks. But it is the entertainment that you go for. The staff are all lovely. Multitasking as your server and singer. They walk around the tables and on a platform in the middle of the room. It’s all fun and upbeat and singing along is encouraged. For a feel good happy time - go! Enjoy and embrace the experience

1 week ago hector fernandezwrote only this for this place:

Ellen’s Stardust is such an iconic spot in New York and absolutely worth visiting. The big highlight is the live singing — your servers are incredibly talented and many are future Broadway stars, which makes the whole experience so unique. You’ll probably need to wait in line about 30–45 minutes to get a table, but once inside the atmosphere is electric and so much fun. The food itself is decent, classic American diner style, but the service and entertainment are what make this place unforgettable. A must-visit if you want dinner and a show rolled into one!

2 months ago Henrik reibomdescribed this experience as follows:

If you're looking for a quintessential New York experience that's equal parts diner and dazzling Broadway preview, look no further than Ellen's Stardust Diner. I've been fortunate enough to visit this iconic spot multiple times, each time bringing along new friends, and the reaction is always the same: pure delight. Let's be clear: the food at Ellen's isn't going to win any Michelin stars, but it's far from bad. Think classic American diner fare – burgers, fries, milkshakes – all served up hot and satisfying. It's definitely better than just "okay," but honestly, the culinary delights aren't the main draw here. You come to Ellen's Stardust Diner for one reason, and one reason only: the music, the singing, and the show! From the moment you step inside, you're immersed in an atmosphere unlike any other. The incredibly talented waitstaff, many of whom are aspiring Broadway stars, take turns belting out show tunes, pop hits, and classic rock anthems with astounding vocal prowess. It's an impromptu concert that unfolds around your table, turning a simple meal into an unforgettable performance. The energy is infectious, the talent undeniable, and the experience is, without fail, absolutely fantastic. A huge thank you to everyone who makes this place so special. Shout-outs to Danny, Xavier, Ellie, and every single performer who pours their heart and soul into every song. Your talent and passion are what truly make Ellen's Stardust Diner a must-visit destination in NYC!

1. place definitely deserves Hard Rock Cafe

Hard Rock Cafe
We rate the place at 8.8/10!. This place was visited and rated 24039-times

What our travelers says:

3 weeks ago Ravevaluates this place as follows:

Firstly, the people who make this place what it is are amazing. The front desk staff were so polite and welcoming, setting a great tone from the moment we arrived. The venue itself is a goldmine of pleasure, filled with guitars, clothing, and memorabilia from pioneers in their respective fields — including notable names like The Bettles and Elvis Presley. We were lucky to visit on a day when the restaurant was offering a retro-themed throwback menu. We enjoyed delicious crispy chips, burgers, and a classic Coke and vanilla float — a real treat! However, I did have a disappointing experience in the merchandise and shop section. I had a receipt from the restaurant that offered a discount upon completing a questionnaire. Despite submitting it and being confident that all my details were correct, I never received the promised benefit or a follow-up email. The manager in that section could have been more helpful. I’d suggest revisiting this process, as it left a sour note in an otherwise fantastic visit — and is the reason for the missing star in my rating. All in all, a wonderful experience that I’d definitely recommend.

1 month ago Simone Andò: it is necessary to add to this place:

It was the best burger we ever had! From the beginning, Alyssa and Danielle were really helpful and kind, they brought us to the “bar section” even we had no reservation. The restaurant was full but we didn’t wait too much time to start eating. We ordered 2 burger that we devoured! The fries were so crispy at the outside and so soft in the inside! Also the bacon and the onion was crispy and flavourful and the meat was so tender. Believe me, the best burger you can eat in NY for sure!

1 month ago J B Csaid the following about this gem:

I sat at the bar which is where I normally prefer especially when grabbing lunch on my own. I decided to try their version of a tropical margarita since the summer is coming to an end. I tried the “one night in Bangkok” shrimp for the appetizer which was in middle level of spicy. They had a burger world tour menu which I chose the Budapest burger (fair warning it has a ton of pulled pork on it) both were OK. The bartenders tried there best to make sure everyone was fine. They may have been short staffed since over 60% of the tables were empty yet the hostess was telling customers there was at least a half hour wait for tables & directing to the bar area. The restaurant is decorated with music memorabilia such as guitars & outfits musicians preformed with. As well a posters & such.

2 months ago Sean & Kendra Jameswrote only this about this place:

We were able to make a reservation so seating was quick and easy. A bit disappointing that sitting in the room with the stage wasn’t an option on the night we went. We sat in the room where the bar was and the music was so loud it was impossible to speak to anyone at our table. Per the hostess, there wasn’t anywhere quieter to sit us (I asked as my father is hard of hearing). We all got burgers which were good. Nacho appetizer was great! Our waiter was also amazing. Gift shop on the way out was fun. Memorabilia around the restaurant is worth checking out.

2 months ago Gabriele Daveriowhat can I say about this place?

It offers a lively and iconic dining experience in the heart of Times Square. With its rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia, vibrant atmosphere, and friendly staff, it’s a must-visit for music lovers and tourists alike. The menu features classic American fare burgers, ribs, and cocktails… all served in generous portions. Though it can be crowded and prices are tourist-level, the energy and entertainment value make it worth the visit
