I found really interesting the great variety of beers they have. We decided to taste 5 different ones. They could have a little more explanation of the different types of beers, so it's easier to make your decision. Specially because there a a lot of different types and I'm not a beer expert. We also had the fried cheese, since we read somewhere it's tradicional food and it was a good opportunity to try it. But the good was not as good as the beers. Still it's an interesting experience if you want to try different beers.

Great experience! Very good Beer and here is the best sausage I’ve ever eaten ! A cozy place with very nice music and a relaxing ambiance. Demon and Black Beer were my favourites!

Mix selection of 20-30 lagers, ales and ciders in the menu. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help if you are struggling to pick a drink. The 5 x 15cl beer sampler allows you to decide which one is your favourite before committing to a full pint. The cherry fruit beer is tasty and the IPA is refreshing.

Basically a pub with lots of beers, not really a museum! Good selection of beer and nice location Very slow service! Myself and two other customers waiting to be served. The staff were back and forth, in and out, just ignoring us for about 10 minutes. I even wondered if they were staff!

Went twice during my stay. Place has great reviews. My first visit was a little disappointing. I ordered the knuckle and as I got to the center, the meat was cool. And for how well it was cooked, I knew it was just a bad reheat job. Second visit I ordered sausage, no complaints. Had a few beer flights. Beer is fantastic! Service was good. They check on you and make sure your drinks keep coming. Definitely worth the visit!

The food is great with good portions for a great price! The place is quite loud and crowded at night which is disturbing and makes it hard to communicate, try going earlier in the day for more relaxed experience! We had the lamb shank around 15-16 o' clock which was awesome! But at night around 20-21 o' clock the steak we ordered came out very well done, instead of medium rare.

Good food and tasty beer for small budgets. But the waitresses are quite cold and just taking order and deliver food or drinks. Don't expect a smile or nice conversation. It took quite long to get the bill and then he explicitly point out that the service fee is not included... the staff should do an excursion to Italy or Spain to learn what hospitality means.

Cool local beer hall atmosphere. Ribs were, goulash and duck leg tasted like fast food. I recommend going for drinks.

Perfect! Absolutely recommend as a good example of balanced, delicious and feel-good food! Superb beer, nice service, brilliant kitchen! The best carpaccio i have ever tasted!

Great spot for Czech food. The goulash and Roast duck were amazing, as were the bread dumplings. We arrived early and sat outside - very pleasant.

Awful experience! Do not recommend Visited here with my family after drinking in one of their bars earlier on in the night. On arrival, the restaurant manager pointed to the table where we would be sat and allowed us to walk over to the table on our own. As we went to sit down, a female waitress began wagging her finger at us, telling us we cannot sit there and was just being generally rude. Only once I told her that the table was reserved for us she began being more friendly. After waiting over 1 hour for our food to arrive, we were then informed just as the waitress was placing the plates on the table that 2 people’s food would not be coming as they have non left but offered no apology. Instead, she practically forced them to order something else and when it arrived it looked like a children’s chicken strips and chips meal. On receiving the bill, it was noticed that the waitress had put separate charges on, £2 for bbq sauce and £2 for mayo. We had not been informed that these came with an extra charge. It was then noticed that another charge had gone onto the bill and when challenged, the waitress informed us that this charge is for the use of knives and forks, plates and napkins. We made several attempts to make a valid complaint to staff, including the manager, however we were ignored by everyone and the manager even walked away mid conversation. DO NOT RECOMMEND if you are a tourist visiting Prague. This restaurant clearly only looks after the locals

Amazing review to our server Veronika. However, considering the long tradition of this restaurant, we would expect a way better quality of beer. Glasses were warm and not clean as they should be. Pretty disappointing experience. Food was great tho.

All in all I liked this place. The food was good although they did take a long while to bring it to the table. The beer tasted great and it was cheap. I don’t agree with other comments that have said that the staff was rude, all the people who interacted with us were friendly. The place had a good festive vibe and it was nicely decorated. I’d go again.

Very disappointed. Most expensive place we went to after 4 days on prague and the WORST food. Food arrived cold. Beef was hard and looked like it had been prepared a long time before. The service was no better. The place was huge and looked cool which is why we initially went in. You have to pay for sides- for example if you have goulash it does not come with dumplings. Everywhere else this is included so was very shocked. To give you an idea- me and my partner spent no more then £30 on any meal including 2 drinks (usually goulash pork knuckle, 2 beers and a mulled wine) here with only two drinks and two dishes the total came to £51. Also a huge plate came with the tiniest portion of beef- around 3 mouthfuls. I even ordered a standard mulled wine but it came in a mug that tasted like it had been in a dirty dishwasher. Overall just hugely disappointed. Please do not come here and waste you money.

We had a mixed feeling about this place. Although this place is huge in terms of space but the waiters are not so efficient when it comes to the accuracy of taking orders. We ordered a specific dish but the waiter had brought something else. Also, waiters were paying less attention to non european folks which was pretty evident with their behavior. For the atmosphere, I would give 5/5 but food and service needs to be worked upon.

Excellent atmosphere and delicious food! Adequate portions and prices. The atmosphere takes you to another era and invites you to stay longer! The decoration of the whole place is well done. The hallways and bathrooms are also clean and well decorated and I loved the amount of detail! I would gladly eat here again!

Went here for a birthday dinner and it was the most lovely experience. The interior is incredible with 50s style everywhere, even the bathrooms (which were very clean and smelled amazingly). Initially, I was worried about the few vegetarian options but the vegetarian burger was delicious. All of the staff were a delight, very friendly, and when we got the bill we were pleasantly surprised as we expected everything to cost a lot more after being there for over three hours. Would highly recommend!

Very classically styled American diner. Staff is friendly and helpful. We had 2 burgers, one chicken and one beef. Both were really really good, juicy and full of flavor. Prices are acceptable considering the quality of the food. The cocktails were oke nothing amazing. They have a nightclub in the basement (no joke), seems like a cool place for a good time.

Typically when I am in Prague I try to go exclusively to Czech style establishments but this time I'm checking out a few of the more touristy type places. James Dean is an American 1950s themed restaurant that was a great stop. It seems to fill up quick and is popular so if you don't have a reservation you might not get a seat! The atmosphere was definitely fun. The 1950s style was present everywhere in the decor, the menus, the waitresses, and even the music. Everything was upbeat and light hearted. The food was excellent. I ordered the Texas Burger with a whiskey sour and at the waitresses recommendation I had the chili mayo to dip the fries (awesome btw). An interesting touch is that they give you gloves to keep your hands clean while you eat your burger! The service was a little slow (I think they might have been a little understaffed) but you are getting a fun vibe and a great overall experience. I would definitely go again with some friends!

People actually make reservations to eat here. It's got a retro cool diner vibe complete with juke box and *good* mostly 50s rock-n-roll music. The burgers are surprisingly good--better than most in the US for sure. If you're in this very nice area of Prague, this place is worth a try.

Loved this place! The view is magical, and the service is outstanding. The food is great. The waiter misunderstood me as I wanted the salmon pasta. I told him that in general I can’t eat pork, but beef is fine. He then brought me a pasta with some steak pieces. It was strange, yet so good! I was going to complain, but changed my mind and enjoyed my dinner instead.

Delicious food, beautifully presented. This was paired with a lovely bottle of wine recommended by our friendly waiter. The evening was perfect, with great views of the river on one side, and the entertainment of viewing the open kitchen on the other. We would have loved to have returned if we had a longer stay.

Honestly speaking Food wise this place is hyped. But I must say ambience is really really good and staff there is really polite and humble. Service is really good. We ordered Lemonade, Chicken and Vegetarian Pizza and pasta as well. But nothing was upto the mark. Overall good for romantic dates.

The most beautiful restaurant I’ve been in Prague. In a boat, incredibly decorated and fancy, you have a wonderful view of the castle and the shore. It’s just incredible. The food is amazing and the staff can’t be friendlier. Honestly I’ve never been treated better in Prague. It’s more expensive than the average restaurant, but it’s totally worth it. I’ll be coming back soon.

A really beautiful place with classy interior design. Perfect for a lovely dinner. The food they serve is indeed of top quality. I could easily recommend all the dishes we had there - starters, the main courses and my dessert. They don't even need any particular description, but I can really recommend our main dishes, the veal cheeks and the beef Wellington, they were beautifully done, super delicious. The service is first class as well, friendly and professional. If you want an exclusive experience, this is the place for you.

No reservation but staff were able to accommodate us for breakfast. Staff were friendly and courteous. Food and drinks arrived in good time. The breakfasts were nice, but the sausages are not traditional English style, more.smoked sausage, and were extremely tough to cut, a steak knife would have been better. English tea also does not come with milk, and the hot chocolate is delicious but more of a syrup consistency. Recommend the Imperial Breakfast it's quite filling but everything compliments one another. Traditional tables and decor very beautiful and despite the high ceilings surprisingly warm atmosphere.

I went to the cafe imperial with a group of industry colleagues that was in the a city for a few days The location is perfect as it's quite central and walking distance to all the major sight and it's close to any public transport as well. The resturant is famous of mix the traditional local cuisine and infuse it with something new. The venue is stunning with its clean sleek marble design and the detailed art deco in the ceiling . The staff were amazing and professional. I was surprised that the food came quickly as it did and it was still warm. Ordered the local dish on the menu, it was good and so filling that I didn't managed to eat the whole thing. They have some interesting name for some of the dishes but hey, you only live once. Recommend the p....food juice ..

Love the atmosphere, high ceilings, lots of natural lighting, the mosaic decor takes you back time. Perfect for a leisure meal. The various dishes were pretty good, somewhat above average. But, come here for the feel.

Food is good, service is great, the setting is nice and the atmosphere is a little noisy, but still great. However there was something missing for me in the dishes: the little personal touch that makes it amazing and unique… It’s a little expensive but the place is very pretty. Be careful on the note, as they might charge you a 10% service fee that is not compulsory.

Great spot in the center of Prague. It's my go-to place to eat or drink in the Mustek area. The terrace in the courtyard between the restaurant and the church is a very nice place to be, especially in the evening. The team here is great, always smiling and very friendly. There is a wide range of typical Czech meals at a great price. If you go there I'd recommend you try the sausages cooked in beer (it's a little spicy). I highly recommend you stop by in this bar/restaurant if you're in the area!

Out of the authentic restaurants to try in Prague. This one here is a must. The ambience when you hear walking in of the bar at your right is just awesome. Now for the food. First things first they take card and euros just incase you didn't exchange them. The fried bread with meat was phenomenal. Additionally the potato pancakes were airy and had that good blend of spices. My favorite is the bread in that buttery, decadent sauce. For the review I gave it a 8.4 out of 10 on that 🔥 scale. I thought for a meat dish I would of gotten a bigger portion. All in all the flavor and atmosphere made up for it. Would give it another try definitely.

Came here with the expectation of tasty Czech food based on all the reviews but was disappointed. Although the food is not as expensive as other restaurants, it was nothing special and wasn't as tasty as other Czech dishes we've tasted. When we entered , no one greeted us or looked at us until we called for them and even then the service wasn't nice towards us or other visitors who arrived. Only positive was that the beer was great and truly is a good place for beer-lovers. As for food, not so much, I would recommend going to another Czech restaurant nearby that also has high ratings.

I was there twice and had basically the same experience both times. The food is extremely good (we ordered a total of about 7 different plates through both days and all of them were very tasty) and they don't take extra long time to bring the food. The prices are also pretty good, we spent about 10€ - 12€ per person having a main course + beer. The only complaint I have is that the staff is not really friendly, but it wasn't enough to bother my experience. Really recommend this place! (Dez/2021)

Very very good restaurant in the middle the old town. Very nice service and good food. I’ve been here for two times and it was really good and delicious. The prices and the service is really great, fast and awesome. Thanks a lot for the good food and beer. You have to try the traditional starters and definitely the Tartar - awesome and fresh. ❤️

It's a historical cafe which is really beautiful. The cafe is always bustling with visitors, but you can find a place soon. Reservation is recommended if you don't want to wait. Had some coffee here, and it tasted great. They have a variety of dishes to offer, and the service staff were very warm. They also accept card payments (both in Euros and dollars)

We had a pleasant visit here! 🤩 Service was super fast but not too friendly. Atmosphere was a little bit cold, it was very loud and crowded but we didn’t had to wait for our table for too long! :) Menu was big and everything arrived fast! Good presentation was nicely done too 🥐🥨 everything tasted absolutely delicious and prices were fair for such a famous place!! 😍

The quality of food you get here is sublime and that even for a very good price. This cafe has truly become one of my favourites in the world. Amazing vibe, good food, sublime service. I love the homemade lemonades. The dishes are a feast for the mouth and the desserts satisfy the soul.

Excellent place and very polite staff. The food is tasty and scrumptious. I had the slow roasted beef which was so tender that I did not have to use the knife. Lively atmosphere and enjoyed every minute of this historic Cafe.

Delicious eats and yummy drinks! Very nice atmosphere. Kid friendly! I brought my 13, 9, and 6 year old and they enjoyed it too. It is really neat knowing Einstein use to come here.

Unfortunately only 1 vegetarian option on the menu, but it was an amazing one. On the menu card there were only 4 alcohol free beverages, however the sugar free iced tea was surprisingly good. Portions are good, personnel is very friendly and speaks English. The place looks good, but the toilet is not wheelchair accessible :( I was happy now, but with so very few vegetarian options, I will not come back. Please improve :)

Hard Rock cafe Prague is centrally located in a beautiful old building, near some of Prague's finest old churches and plazas. The ambiance was superb as the building was beautifully decorated and this location had many different items from hard rock icons on display. As always, Hard Rock cafe stands out in food quality and this time it was no different. Furthermore the staff was super friendly and it was a great experience to eat here!

Our server Marketa was totally great and looked after us very well. The atmosphere was very charming 😍 and we enjoyed the food. I would recommend the nachos as a sharing starter. Nice job Marketa and Hard Rock.

Hard Rock Cafe always wins with its decorations and it’s shop. You can really enjoy the place even the if the food was average. The mango-berry 🥭 🫐 cooler was great as well as the wings, but the steak was average and it did feel like it’s old 🥩

It is a must! The food is very tasteful and delicious. I loved the yellow gravy and the dumplings. The beer and the Medovina shot is the best in Prague, it is not like the other ones. The menu has different options but not to much, which is good to pic the best ones. The location is typical Czech and is was always warm. The down side is the service. Nobody is looking after you and sometime the waiters were kind of rude. But that being said it still highly recommended place

It's not that I don't like the authentic sense of the place, but it felt like a money making machine. Once you get in, you are assaulted by the waiters proposing drinks even before we have settled down at the table... As if every second of our time there must generate an income for them. I personally prefer to have a look at the menu first. But, maybe it's just the way they want it to be. We took an offered local beer and ordered a cheese plate, which cost us almost as much as full meal in some other restaurants. The beer was OK, but the service was too overwhelming for my taste. And the place felt too crowded... Especially in covid-19 times it feels uncomfortable... We prefer to keep some distance from others while we eat... Not elbowing our neighbors while sipping the beer...

Amazing food and a great atmosphere! U Fleků is probably one of the best places to get Czech food in Prague. They have a fun traditional atmosphere. In the evening they usually have live music and waiters walking around with trays of drinks available for you to take whenever you want. They have various shots of alcohol on the trays as well for you to try. I highly recommend the pork knee or the duck. Both are excellent and of course the beer is great as well. I definitely recommend this as a must go if you visit Prague!

The last time I was here was 4 years ago, and since then the quality of the place has deteriorated a lot. Mostly the service was incomprehensible to me. They kept forcing drinks on us, and if we didn't ask for them, they walked away visibly offended. The food became unremarkable and it felt like it came on an assembly line. The food design is very poor. I don't know what kind of chef would let a dish like this out of their hands. Value for money makes it not worth it.

Felt like an authentic beer hall. Accordionists played and the vibe was so cheerful many people started singing loudly. Beer and shots were served on trays. Delicious Czech food. Memorable experience!!
