This establishment has been around for a few years. I always said to myself that I would go, without having the opportunity. I went there and I don't regret it! Just avoid having your eyes bigger than your stomach, it's generous and far from being expensive.

Lots of food for a friendly price. Staff works hard and is very friendly and patient (sorry my German isn't so good). Nice thing about this place is that they don't close at 5pm!

It looks good and clean, the staff is friendly. The Kebab sandwich tasted good but was very thin filled and that for € 6.50, in the Netherlands you get a better filled sandwich for € 5.50, sorry guys 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Awesome location - especially if the sun is shining - also very friendly staff. Aperol Spritz, Weißbier, Gulaschsuppe & above all Käsespätzle are very recommendable.

Nice place, toilets on the same floor (no stairs, a big plus when you have ski boots on!), and the burgers are great.

Very good pizza. Excellent Salmon and trout. Delicious mountain herb soup. Reasonably priced, nice and friendly service and prepared with a sense for design.

Reasonable but can not for the life of meth remember attending said restaurant. I prayed in the Church to get over my ordeal

Loved the rooms and the place. Very nice, helpful and forthcoming staff. Food was amazing aswell. But vegetarian options were not always labeled. For example some fruit cake with some Gelatine. But staff did answer all questions when this was brought up.

Thanks for the stay. It was indeed a nice spa area but the times of the operation of some of the saunas was not acceptable. The food and so called four course menu was not good enough for that price. You price very high for what you provide in terms of food quality and diversity and also the room and mattress were not living up to the standard. Hence two stars less. Thanks

The hotel in general The 4-star Hotel Eggerwirt is located in St. Michael im Lungau. It offers everything that belongs to a wellness vacation. The Krameterhof, the Samsunn Wellness Center, the Donnerschlucht and the pilgrimage church of St. Leonhard are just a few examples, to name a few highlights of the region. Room / accommodation in the hotel The comfortably furnished residential units (double room, family room, bridal suite, triple room, multi-bed room, deluxe room, superior room, suite) exude a homely flair. Your hotel room has a bathroom and a separate toilet. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub or shower, a make-up mirror, a bathrobe, a hairdryer, toiletries and slippers. An inviting seating area is also part of it. Your room has a minibar, safe and desk. Each unit includes an iron and a refrigerator. Furthermore, a telephone, a radio and a television are part of the basic equipment. On arrival there is a free bottle of water in the hotel room. This place has it all. A wonderful experience and the staff is exceptional. Quality of everything is top notch. Would love to come back and visit again.

Great place to relax, wonderfully friendly staff, fantastic regional food and loads of wellness options

Personal very pleasant! Mountain house is not that spacious but very coosy and most of all with excellent food. One can taste that the food are local products, although I have had a breakfast before we came there I went about and taste everything. Different kind of meat (smoked salami, pressed ham, ham...) products, I would certainly say organic, as well as good cheese (smoked). It I very nice experience, and to the top of the mountain from there you can take several paths. Perfect as a place to have a brake! Would strongly recommend!

We had an amazing time at this place. First we arrived around 15:00 we drank a few beers and we ordered pizza. Both tasted amazing! We were very welcomed by the staff and the owner is really nice! We had nice talks with him. We enjoyed it so much that we came back later this day for a late dinner around 21:30. Everything was perfect. We would like to come back for sure!

The pizzeria is really comfortable and warm, especially with the contrast from outside. The pizza was great with perfect service. Language barrier is non-existent as well as the Chef came out in order for our group to thank him as the food was really super. 100% recommend!

YOU MUST EAT HERE! The food was so amazing and tasteful that we came back again for dinner in the same day!! A beautiful Italian atmosphere in Austria! Pizzas were amazing! The owner was very welcoming and a wonderful man! I highly recommend

Amazing crusty and taste pizza. Very delicious pizza, with thin crust and fresh ingredients. It is the best service I ever gotten, with very nice staff and chef! Also very cozy inside.

Very good pizza, 8 persons cost 99 euro. For large pizza and cola and still water. Cozy environment and the personal was very nice. A little more expensive than sweden. But overall all okay.

Nice swimming pool and spa area. Great breakfast buffet. Room service rather focused on senior guests, but still OK even for family. Hotel placed in middle of the village in fantastic mountain area.

We had a one night stay because of a breakdown, the staff was very nice, food is amazing, and our room were cosy.

Well, we came home couple of days ago, and finally I can write something... Wow, what a hotel! Unbelievable, everything was beyond our expectations! Great location, food was delicious, pool is super clean, our room was beautiful, overall everything is perfect. Stuff was very polite. And also they have a wonderful owner, you can see that he really cares that everything is top notch. For the end I can say that this hotel, and everyone who came across our way in that hotel made me and my family truly happy. Thank you 🙏 ☺️

Excellent wellness facility with a pool suitable for swimming and open already from 7am. Good food, clean room, and most of the rooms have good size south facing balconies, protected from the wind - you can enjoy the sunny winter landscape. Book directly, cheaper than e.g. through booking.com, online booking process with instant confirmation.

We were driven there by horse and carriage, returning on foot (1 hour). beautiful cottage mood. Small dishes at reasonable prices and nice service. I had potato soup with sausages.... hum hum hum. .. like Grandma's. My wife also had a very good yeast dumpling. The food here isn't just for the mouth, it's also good for the eyes. If you are in Katschberg, the Pritzhütte is a "must". We will recommend and come back

3/5 not great, but also not bad. Really average. This is not like a normal Austrian "Alm". It's rather for the masses of tourists. The cheese is okay,but the bread is hard. The drinks are way to expensive and the don't even have an , Kaiserschmarrn or Buttermilch. Typical Austrian dishes. Wouldn't recommend it, but there's nothing else in the area.

The hütte can be reached by Pony Alm Express (horse carriage from Katschberg, 30 min) or walking (50 min). It's also called Pony Alm because you can ride a pony (free with the katschberg carte). There are alot of local dishes (the apfelstrudel is heavenly) and several hot and cold drinks. The view is nice and there is a small childrens playground.

It is worth walking up. You can take the horse sledge back in hen places available. Just call and ask.

Tasty food and absolutely lovely service. We stopped there driving a long way on the highway and it was definitely a good choice! ☺️

Friendly and attentive, but everything was very salty and the Wiener Schnitzel was average. Good for a local place (beer was good), and seemed popular with the locals, just average in comparison to the others we have been to in the area.

Nice restaurant with simple and short menu. Great Gulash soup with fresh ingredients. Desert was from heaven sent. Only minus for the restaurant is they don’t take credit cards. Recommended.

This is a traditional Austrian restaurant. Asians aren't welcome. Good luck! For sure i won't walk in again.

It was Ski opening time in Katschberg. There was this desire for glühwein and dancing... and this is the place that made it possible. We had great time, waitresses were friendly and pizza was delicious :)
