In my opinion this is the best place to eat in Sal. Food was absolutely lovely and always delicious and service was amazing. While grilled fish with fries cost only 13 euros per person it was cooked perfectly every single time.

Big portions and decent prices considering the location and the fact the fish is fresh. Had the Tuna Tataki with fresh tuna, which was 1500 escudos (approx. €14 as of January 2022) 1650 esc with a large plate of fries and some sparkling water. The view of the beach and pier is also nice.

This restaurant is one of the best in Cape Verde. The staff are a pleasure to talk to and the food is amazing. I am vegan and worried about eating in Sal. I would highly recommend By Valeria as the place to eat if you are vegetarian or vegan. Their vegan bolognaise was out of this world… the best dish I’ve eaten abroad! This place cannot be recommended highly enough. ❤️

Mediocre food was made even worse when I found several pieces of plastic in my food. The waitress feeding wild cats, so they jumped on our table and tried to eat our food was disgusting. Okay service, but high prices

A lovely local cafe style restaurant, Rita was very sweet and welcoming and the food was fab. Excellent vegetarian options, the shakshuka and lemonade were my personal favourites! It ended up being our go to place for breakfast and lunch, highly recommend!

Recently ate here and mainly because the reviews were good. The restaurant is small, cozy with a nice decoration. We found the food here to be of slightly lower quality, but this may be because we expected too much. Still nice to eat here sometime.

Great little place for a surprisingly posh meal. Great flavour. Little bit more £££ than others but food is quality. Was going to say the service was a bit slow but then I remembered that we are in Cape Verde and things are a bit different here. Well done all, enjoyed our evening.

It was our last night in Sal, we regret we didn't discover this gem earlier. Kids ordered the linguini with big shrimps, and my wife and I the beef....what a delight! Grilled to perfection, we like it rare and it certainly was. Make sure to go there it's one to remember!

Amazing experience. The menu is short and sweet, ticks all the boxes of Italian cuisine, Brazilian meat and local fish and seafood, a great representation of the owners’ ancestry and roots. We went for pasta, which was perfectly cooked (the Italian way), ingredients were fresh, seasoning was great. The restaurant itself is small but cozy and beautifully decorated. The vines covering it feel like they took decades to get that intricate and dense. Staff was friendly and professional. There was a sudden, very heavy rain, and we were with our baby. The manager offered to take us to the hotel on his car, so we didn’t get ourselves and the baby wet. I would give it 6 stars if I could. Heartwarming food, place and experience. An absolute must.

My favourite beach bar while visiting Sal. The staff was always very friendly and professional. The food was good but a bit overpriced. The view is great, just next to the Pontão. Perfect place to rent a sun bed and spend the day by the beach. Totally recommend it.

Way overpriced for a BLT with very very old bread. And with old, I mean almost inedibly old. Was gonna ask the waitress for a new one but she was already very condescending and kinda rude, so I just let it slide. And the most expensive yet least tasty cappuccino. Definitely not worth it. Excellent view though so a star for that. And one for the waiter that was actually nice at the bar. This was the worst food, drinks and service of the holiday and yet the most expensive.

This place was recommended by rep. Everything was nice, tidy and good. Decor was Leonardo da Vinci themed and lovely garden athmosphere. Diavola pizza was tasty. Companions seafood pasta could have been better. Bit pricy restaurant comparing Santa Marias prices.

Fabulous place in the centre of Santa Maria. Fantastic decor, looks authentic Italian with lots of different levels with inside and outside. Unfortunately the food didn't suite my palate, I ordered a vegetarian version of the Gnocchi but unfortunately I didn't like it one little bit and couldn't even eat some of it to be polite, so I explained and re-ordered a vegetarian Calzone, which was much better. The starters of hummus was lovely. My partner enjoyed his goats cheese with salmon starter and tuna capaccio main course. I was very impressed with the restaurant who exchanged my main course without any fuss or extra charge. We just called again tonight and took 2 others with us, we all had pizza's and loved them, i definitely recommend a visit....or two 😍

Actual Italian food with good quality. Refreshing if you crave something else after two weeks of tuna steaks with rice and beans. Restaurant is led by Italians from Sardinia.

We had amazing meal. Meat cooked to perfection, seafood pasta amazing. Staff is kind and helpful. Atmosphere in the place is romantic if you need but also great to have some nice evening with your friends and family.

A cozy atmosphere for a good dining experience. Especially the fishes in our dishes were tasty and we really enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients. A bit strange some coupling with side vegetables accompaning them, but overall a positive experience

The best lobster I have ever had If you're visiting Sal then definitely make sure you find the time for a trip to LobStar. They give you a mess of tools to extract all that lovely lobster meat but honestly, the lobster are so fresh you'll hardly need them. They recommend their two tasting menus, the Lobster Experience and the Fish Experience. Of course, if you'd prefer you can order A La Carte.

We came there for dinner with friends and absolutely enjoyed it! The food was delicious! 🤤❤️ We had a big tasting lobster menu for 80€. Portions were the same as from normal menu so definitely reccommend to have it for 2 persons.

Angulo beach is a very relaxing beach bar with a variety of cocktails and food. The beach in front was fairly quiet when I was there, and there were loungers to hire. The service was good, and the prices were slightly pricey. They accept card payments. The toilet facilities were clean. There is background music playing from a radio station, which adds to the atmosphere. Angulo Beach is a nice bar worth visiting for the lovely beach.

What a great place to lie down and relax with a beer with your hand. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Nice quiet beach with very comfortable sunbeds.

For me the best beach bar in Santa Maria. Quiet beach and sun beds are available. There is a mix of locals and tourists. Staff is always smiling and welcoming you. Very safe place and no hassle with vendors. They offer a lot of activities as well.

Great place for a drink a quick snack. They offer good food and drinks. I would come back here. Service is relax and quiet beach bar. It looks commercial but it is a very nice view and service you get.

I visited Sal Beach Club to watch the England vs. Spain Women's World Cup final in the bar. The decor is a dedication to football. and there are numerous screens from which to watch matches and major tournaments. There is a wide selection of food on their menu, including full English breakfast and Sunday roasts. I did not eat there but their prices are very reasonable compared to lots of other places. The service was adequate, and the cocktails were a good size. There is a kiosk there offering surfing lessons as the bar is on the beach. Sal Beach Club is a great sports bar. The seating area did get wet, though, when it rained as it came through the gaps in the part covered by tarpaulin. Still worth a visit.

The location of this place is nice, by the beach. They suppose to have happy hour from 9pm to 11pm and drinks are half price. The drinks are no good quality though.

Location is fantastic. The restaurant is basically on the sea and the waves are breaking right there next to you while you're having your breakfast. Food is adequate at breakfast. Evening menu is superb, but pricy.

Booked a romantic dinner for two on the beach and it was the best experience. The set up was beautiful and the food was exceptional!! Mamadou and Everton were our private waiters for the evening and made sure we had an amazing experience!!

Location was great. Food tasted good but the service was lacking. Staff, chef and manager need more coordination to bring out the right order to right table and also understand their menu.

Ocean in Sal Cabo Verde is a fantastic restaurant located just steps away from the beach. - The locals highly recommended it for their authentic coffee, and they were right. - The seafood dishes and local burgers were absolutely amazing in terms of taste. - The waitresses at Ocean are not just waitresses; they are friendly, multilingual, and provide exceptional service. - Overall, Ocean offers a great dining experience with its delicious food, and outstanding service. Definitely deserving of a five-star rating.

This place is amazing, first of all they have everything you need. It is a hotel with large and comfortable rooms, it is a bar, restaurant and co-working as well. Food is great, service is very kind and friendly, the bar at night there is live music and at the dance floor. Don't worry about the noise in your room, because even the bar having dance floor and music the rooms are very quiet. I really enjoyed this place!

With other sports bars showing only football the team here managed to get the Ryder Cup golf on screen for us. They really understand the extra mile here, an example for others in Cape Verde to follow. We had food and drinks which were great. With this kind of service we will back tomorrow, for some more great service and food.

The staff is a bit slow and sloppy, but the food is fresh off the ocean and the ambiance is really nice. However, the place is not a place to bring younger kids with you.
