Even if the live music is good and ambiente also, I don't recommend the pork and the meat. Very bad cooked and the French fries not well done. We gave them unfortunately to a couple of dogs surrounding us.

With a kid traveling home with a serious foodpoisoning is no fun. When you go here take a peak into the kitchen (door on the left when you go to the toilet) you'll know enough to decide. The ladies working in the service where really nice.

Delicious seefood. Polvo grelhado very tender and perfectly grilled. Very friendly staff. I do highly recommend

We have already been to this restaurant twice in a week. When I took cairphirinha on the first time the price was completely different than today. The price was quite different after the second visit. It was significantly higher.

Slow service and poor food. The live music was nice though.

Small restaurant next to the beach. We ordered grilled tuna and beef. All dishes came withe salad, potatoes, rice and vegetables. We also ate a hand made ice cream made of 'galleta maria' (cookie). 😋

DO NOT RECCOMMEND! We waited for almost an hour before the waiter came to take our order and saw how people that arrived later got to order before us. It took another half hour before the food arrived. The food itself was below average. To make things worse, the waiter took ages to clear the plates from the tables around us, which attracted hordes of flies and made it very unpleasant to eat there.

We eat here when visiting tarrafal and, contrary to many of the reviews written for this place, we eat very well, the place is very good and the staff kind and helpfull (they told us there was the wi-fi even if we didn’t ask). Be patient because (like in all Cabo Verde) the estimated time for the service it’s not immediate. For our exeperience we say: give they a shot!

We (a group of 3) waited for 70 minutes and food was not served. We decided to leave.

Delicious food!! Lots of choice, and vegetarian options too. We had the vegetarian platter and it was very nice. The food arrived quickly, was well presented, and the portion sizes were good. The staff were really friendly, and not pushy. Relaxed atmosphere on a quiet street. We will definitely come back!

The best fish we had in Cape Verde in two weeks of stay! Not over salted, which is usually the case and nicely grilled - fish under name of esmoregal is highly recommended. The side vegetables are simple, but do the job.

We had extremely delicious cotelette and fish of the day. The marinade of both dishes was just so good, something very special. The owner was super friendly. Waiting time was a bit long, but everything was freshly prepared which takes time of course. We definitely recommend this restaurant and will go there again! (The restaurant is right next to maracuja on the left side, don't mix it up)

Fully recommend to have dinner in Brisa. Very easy and not very shiny restaurant but the food is just awesome. We had a local fish (don’t remember the name) and a Tuna Steak which was great. We also had a delicious caipirinha and some vino verde, both very good. The waiter was very nice and made the evening a blast. Prices very low for the quality of Food.

We were in Tarrafal already for a couple of days when we discovered this local restaurant. This was definitely the best place we have eaten so far! The food is amazing, we tried the fish of the day and the chicken and both were great. Plus the prices are very good. The owner of the restaurant is also very friendly. If you are in Tarrafal I highly recommend this place.

Nice restaurant with view over the beach where al the fisherboats can be seen. Well kept, clean and good furniture. The menu is basically the catch of the day and that is good for a fishrestaurant. The food is good!

You find there a small interesting museum about fishery in Cape Verde. In front, in a nice garden with outdoor tables, a restaurant that serves mainly fish and seafood. They have also pizza, which I didn't try. Great view of the sea and welcoming staff.

Super tasty food. I had fish on two days, which was delicious and had vegetables on the side. The menu is in Portuguese and English on a blackboard. But I always just let the waitress advise me. Highly recommended.

We had a meal here on our last night. It was comfortably the best classic Cape Verdan food we had on the trip and very reasonably priced. I had tuna steak, vegetables, rice and a few other bits and pieces for 700 Escudos. The service was friendly and the food came very quickly compared to other restaurants. The setting was fine but not its strength - it was in a square in a low key residential area. All in all highly recommended.

Great place to eat typical food of Cape Verde. Economic and abundant. Do not forget to order the pudim de queijo. We went twice 😛

A good place where you can eat local fish. As mentioned for many other restaurants in Cabo Verde, sea food is too much cooked, however the side dishes are very good and the Caipirina is excellent.

If your looking for a place to stay, stop - this is the perfect place. (And no I am not payed to say this…) This was a wonderful experience, perfect for our trip, we wanted something nice and local, still feeling like a hotel but not a resort. Which I believe we got, the room was cute and clean which made us feel very comfortable. Space to put your things away in a proper way. Bathroom was also nice, clean and spacious. Even though it was in a separate space from our room it never felt uncomfortable. The staff was amazing, everyone super kind, honest and helpful, with amazing service. We had a super good massage booked through the hotel too which was super relaxing. On the rooftop it was lovely views of the ocean, perfect start to the day with a great breakfast to fit the vacation mood. The dinner at the rooftop was also very good, I liked the way you could pre-book for dinner. The food was very tasty and drinks was a great hit! All in all we had a super good stay here, I can’t wait to come back and explore the island more, at least I know where to stay. Thanks for having us!

Good location, walking distance to the city center and restaurants. Nice terrasse for breakfast with sea view. Rooms are on the small side and lack mosquitoe net, but comfortable enough. Nothing fancy

Very helpful staff, quiet location near the sea. Very nice rooftop restaurant with good food in the evening and excellent choice for breakfast ( best we had in CV). Room was ok, bed comfortable, good sheets, separate bathroom worked ok. Was smaller and less opulent than it looked in the photos. More developed due in the area and random half built houses.

Wonderful personnel, delicious breakfast, beautiful terrace, and good energy all around the place. Clean room and bathroom (they were daily cleaned) and convenient location for all beach lovers.

Definitely the best place to go! Delicious dishes and great atmosphere. It’s quite busy too so you have to wait sometimes. But the nice music makes up for it. Highly recommended.

we ate here a few times & everything is so good. the pizza is freshly made in a wooden oven & the pasta was also very good. can only recommend this one

This is such a nice restaurant wir so much delicious food and exceptional service! I can highly recommend the pizza there, since it is the best you can get on the whole island! Even if you have a vegan diet, they will prepare it for you without cheese!

Very slow .. arrived at 7.30 and still waiting at 9pm for pizza .. had one dish ( lasagna ) that came and my partner is still waiting 30 mins later .. we canceled the pizza and are leaving .. As for the lasanha .. a rustic version that I was ready to swallow quickly rather than let it linger so that the senses could capture and appreciate the ingredients … sorry my partner didn’t get to eat ( no meat) 🥹 After this reply to the challenge the restaurant - and owner, Francesco - was having in serving a a fully booked restaurant, I received his reply (after being likely very tired in having to administer this difficult situation in trying to please everyone). We appreciate your care in replying and hopefully you will be able to add another pizza oven soon as it looked delectable:). Perhaps we will visit in the future… thank-you

I was early and wanted to take away some pizzas- I was warmly welcomed and was even invited to a free drink during the time I waited. The pizzas were fresh, very tasty and direct from the wood fired stone oven. We would come back and want to thank you for your hospitality.

This place was wonderful. Right on the beach and a beautiful view for the sunset. The food was wonderful and the owner was amazing. She made sure that our private group was well taken care of would definitely sit and have a beer or enjoy a meal, but next time I am in Tarrafal. The outdoor seating is amazing

This is a good local restaurant. We stopped here for lunch when doing an island tour. I had grilled tuna with vegetables, salad, chips and rice. The vegetables were over cooked and the tuna was a little over done, but otherwise it was fine. Nice view of the beach. Don't feed the cats otherwise they won't stop bugging you!

Could be better. Food comes in a big portion but it takes too long. The place is inconsistent, the food is great somedays but just ok on other days. Still can’t get past them having no coffee (expresso) 🫠 “because it’s only for breakfast”

Had really good fish! The service was good (english speaking) and relatively fast. Not super cheap but okay for a tourist area. The fish including fries and vegetables was 1200 Esc and a coke 160 Esc. The portions were not super big but just right for us.

Amazing local food!! We randomly spotted the place and were very happily surprised with how good the food was. The tuna was tasted wonderful and was really good quality. The rice was perfectly prepared and so were the fries. The tuna was topped with a salsa very rich in flavor and complimented the rest of the dish. Best meal we have had in Tarrafal.

Decent grilled octupus, average tuna steak and cocktail with minimum or no alcohol at all. For this region of Africa it is 3,5 star rating.

They have live music at times. Portions are rather big. Service is so-so. They offer you "vegetarian" meals with fish 😳. Do not expect cocktails/sangria to correspond to what you'll receive. No possibility to pay with a card. Pay attention to the bills to avoid extra charges 🤔
