We liked all the drinks that Claudio made. All my drinks were just improvised, they r truly amazing, and with strong personality. Highly recommend !

1 year ago Christinahow did he rate it?

A gear place to go for a spontaneous drink and bite to eat. Centrally located with a view of the Limmat. Nicely decorated . Extensive bar menu. Can be busy on weekends but a cool vibe .

1 year ago Jibran Kahnevaluates this place as follows:

Fancy place and while the appetizers were average, main course were super delicious with decent portions. Risotto with tiger prawns is pretty awesome.

1 year ago Dan Humadescribed this experience as follows:

Beautiful location, delicious food, a very large variety of drinks to chose from (wines, single malts, rums, etc), kind personnel. A Nice experience for all senses.

1 year ago Steph Rafaelsaid the following about this gem:

For a drink in a central location in Zurich, this restaurant and bar is a good option. Whether inside or outside on a busy street when the weather is nice, you'll find both here. The drinks are good. The staff seem to be very busy as you sometimes have to wait a long time to be served. They seem to make an effort and certainly seem friendly.

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Joanna Jiwrote only this about this place:

As an American, I thoroughly enjoyed this diner-steakhouse hot stone cooking experience and can testify that I have never seen a similar concept in America. Fun way to have a steak. Recommend coming here with some friends for a good time. Reserve beforehand. I got the big lamb filet with Rösti instead of fries and was absolutely stuffed afterwards.

2 years ago Fafasaid the following about this gem:

Rollie’s Steak House was actually the first restaurant I went to in Zurich. It’s usually bustling full, and for a good reason! Not a too large menu, super friendly staff and a great ambiance! I love the 50s diner charm.

2 years ago George-Cristian Costachedescribed this experience as follows:

They offer delicious beef steaks of all kinds which did not fail to deliver one of the best experiences I've ever had! In the photos, you can see the USA Rib Eye steak as it was brought to the table by the waiter. Bonus for presentation: They all come on a heated stone so that you can cook them to your liking!

2 years ago Mathias Fuchsevaluates this place as follows:

The steaks are amazing? The meat quality is very good. The service is very attentive, friendly and super quick. However the atmosphere of the restaurant is not really great. But I guess you cant have it all 😉

1 year ago Alexander Hermanswrote only this for this place:

Steak was quite good, but overall atmosphere and vibe very poor. Space is super cramped, very basic, and you're in and out within an hour. Feels a bit like McDonald's but with steak. Also very expensive. You will most likely leave hungry. Would not recommend; Wild West Steakhouse is much better.

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Sam Abermanwrote only this for this place:

Good Italian restaurant. Mid week evening was busy but we had no problem reserving table for 10 work colleagues. Service was effective but impersonal. No time wasted on chitchat or recommendation. Food arrived after some delay. Unfortunately one main dish was completely missed making all of us waiting as we felt sorry for the poor guy. The pasta, pizza, steaks.. all were good. Everyone seem to like their food of choice. With beers + wine + coffee @40 CHF per head it was a fair evening.

1 year ago Kenji Mahhow did he rate it?

Great ambience and service. Went there during lunchtime on a weekday. There was a wait for a table. The food came quickly after it was ordered, and prices are alright to the quality of food gotten. Will definitely visit again.

1 year ago Stan Alexandruhow did he rate it?

We tried some pasta and dessert and they were really good. We came without a reservation and unfortunately we had to stay downstairs. I honestly don't recommend this part of the restaurant as it is very noisy due to the kids corner and also the pizza oven and kitchen are there and all your clothes will smell like food due to lack of ventilation. Just check the recording with the background noise (maybe it's not always the same. Maybe we were unlucky and we just had some noisy kids) Next time most probably we will try to enjoy our dinner upstairs where the atmosphere was different or on the terrace.

2 years ago Ludovica Andreotti- why does he think this place is on the list?

Amazing food, really good and tasty. The vegan pasta with meat and veggies was literally so delicious- incredible. Totally worth it, a lot of choices for vegan and nice location especially if you can eat outside. Good staff and quick in the service

1 year ago ishan khalsa- why does he think this place is on the list?

One of the most delicious Italian restaurants in the city. Highly recommend! A bit on the pricy end, but worth it. Should definitely try the Aperol Spritz.

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Dalila Miseo- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Excellent bruch in a chilled and relaxed athmosphere. The service was quick and our waitress was super nice and smiling. The food was really tasty: we tried the French Toast, the Buttermilk Pancakes and the Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict, which was absolutely fantastic!! 5 super deserved stars.

1 year ago Ida Hedblom- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Amazing staff! Great coffee and yummy food (still room for improvement, though *dry potatoes*, hence the 4 stars), and perfect for families with children. There is a separate floor for families, which is appreciated for groups without children, as well as for parents who are afraid of disturbing others. Great changing/ nursing room

1 year ago Irina P: it is necessary to add to this place:

I’ve gone to this restaurant for a brunch with friends and it’s been a very good experience - coffee tastes great (they also have a non-lactose choice with oatmilk), the food was really good also, and enjoyed the drinks too. I’ve had an avocado smash with a poached egg that I would definitely recommend, tasted their cappuccino and also a homemade ice tea. I’d definitely recommend the place to others, feels very vibrant, cosy and people speak English also, which helped given we’re expats.

1 year ago Yannick Rohrbasserevaluates this place as follows:

Love this place, especially in the summer. It's a nice farmhouse converted into a restaurant with an American inspired menu including delicious burgers and a Philadelphia Cheesesteak (rare in ZH)! The weekend brunch menu is fantastic with classics such as pancakes, eggs benedict and even a full English breakfast. The outdoor area is very cosy and had a little playground for kids. Staff is super friendly. Make sure to reserve ahead as it gets full.

1 year ago JP Mwrote only this for this place:

We had a nice Brunch there. Really love the ambience. The reason why its only a 4 star review is, I had an Acai bowl which was basically cereals with yoghurt. An Acai is something totally different! Also the price is way too much if there is no Acai in it

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Cyrus Oefeliwhat can I say about this place?

Went here this summer for a nice dinner. Service was immaculate, we had a very skilled waiter who was an expert at decanting wine, and the servers were all very friendly. Food was very delicious. After our dinner, we headed to the cigar lounge, where the server gave us a detailed explanation on the different types of cigars and what drinks to have with them. Overall an amazing night at an amazing location.

1 year ago Sheila Barbashow did he rate it?

A beautiful snowy day in zurich! This is the perfect spot to have a drink inside or out. The staff was wonderful and knowledgeable of the area. We sat with blankets on our laps, drink in hand and just enjoyed the gorgeous surroundings.

1 year ago Matthew Gentles: it is necessary to add to this place:

Nice cafe outside of the hotel. As you can expect being located right in the middle of Zurich prices are high but quality of food and drinks is excellent. Good shade coverage on the most part. I was advised the meatballs would be around 20 minutes but this was over half an hour. Also it says wait to be seated but some people were just walking in and sitting at empty tables which could cause problems.

1 year ago Mark Rogowskyexplained best how he liked it:

This property charges obscene rates (yes it’s Zurich and even by local standards it’s a lot) for a room that is simply unusable. Yes I’ve stayed in other European hotels and yes I’ve navigated small rooms. Do not stay here. There is absolutely no place to put your luggage and absolutely no way to move in the room and absolutely no logic to the decisions they made to include useless furniture or a bathroom door that would happily chop out your fingers. Do not stay here.

1 year ago Sarah McGowanevaluates this place as follows:

If you’re looking for a boutique hotel in the heart of Zurich look no further. This is a stellar location, the rooms are lovely, the service is above and beyond. The view is amazing (see pics attached for view from our room) and drinks on the veranda are a must. Enjoyed every minute of our stay!

5. place gets Radisson Blu Hotel, Zurich Airport

Radisson Blu Hotel, Zurich Airport
Definitely deserves 8.6/10!. This place was visited and rated 2648-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago copernicus (copernicus.at)evaluates this place as follows:

Nestled seamlessly within the confines of the airport, this hotel is nothing short of remarkable. The room service offered is of impeccable quality, adding a touch of excellence to our overall experience. The service throughout the establishment is consistently outstanding, and the heightened security measures contribute to a sense of safety and tranquility. Though our stay was a fleeting one, merely a single night dedicated to transit, the hotel managed to leave an indelible impression of excellence. It served as an oasis of comfort, making it abundantly clear that this establishment is not merely a place to stay but an experience to be relished. Without hesitation, we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, as it effortlessly combines convenience with a level of hospitality that transcends the ordinary.

1 year ago Cindy Mayhorn: it is necessary to add to this place:

We just spent 3 fantastic nights at the hotel. Great location, right by the train station. Easy to walk to the train/bus station, old town, and along the lakefront. Service at the front desk is outstanding. Edith was amazingly helpful, making our dinner reservations, getting us a cab when needed and helping us plan our day to make sure we saw all “hot spots” during our time in Lucerne. Breakfast was included in our stay - - food was delicious and the service was again, outstanding!! Thank you!

1 year ago Atul Shankarwhat can I say about this place?

The hotel is located in a very convenient location, right outside the Zurich airport. Friendly staff who helped with quick check-in and showcased great hospitality, special mention to Abdul Ghaffar for ensuring we had a hearty breakfast. Update: the air conditioning has not been working across and hence the rooms are really warm. Have been given portable fans post raising an issue. But they are loud. Not expected for 4 star hotel.

1 year ago רן ברש- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Nice hotel located at the airport (7 minutes from check-in). Don't worry - it's quiet! The breakfast is full and varied. During my last stay at 11/23 there were no hot water in the shower in the morning and the water didn't went down fast (maintenance problems). I got an apology but it didn't help me during the freezing face wash.

1 year ago Rakyan Adhikarawhat can I say about this place?

For a hotel that is part of the airport, it's amazing. Room service is great. Overall service is amazing. Security is great. I only stayed for one night considering because it was for my transit, but still amazing overall for a place to stay. Highly recommended!

4. place definitely deserves The Dolder Grand

The Dolder Grand
We rate the place at 9.4/10!. This place was visited and rated 3072-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Victoria 88evaluates this place as follows:

I cannot fault this hotel. It is stunning with such a brilliant team of colleagues there to help you. They LOVE doggies too, even allowing us to bring our well behaved pooch/family member to dinner, such a nice touch. Perfect for a weekend to spoil yourself. No ear plugs required. We even saw the first snow!

1 year ago Dimitra Frangosexplained best how he liked it:

Our Saturday at Dolder Grand was a revelation, thanks to our concierge's ace recommendation. We decided to dive into the Cheese Fondue Lodge, where we were hit with a welcome that was like a warm hug from a long-lost friend. This girl at Dolder Grand's Cheese Fondue Lodge? She's a ingenious gem. My husband, who thinks he's all that with his five languages, met his match. This little language whiz made our night a riot of laughter and surprises. It wasn't just about the fondue – it was the unexpected joy of this girl flipping languages like it was nothing. Dolder Grand isn't your run-of-the-mill winter scene. It's a curated experience, not just with seasonal decor, but infused with character and wit courtesy of an exceptional team. It's not about having 'staff'; it's about hosting a league of intellectual connoisseurs, a unique rarity that transforms a hotel into a haven of brilliance.

1 year ago Hayes Ohlerevaluates this place as follows:

We were in Zurich for Christmas and landed a reservation for the pop-up restaurant in the Dolder Grand hotel. It was amazing, the food was so good and lived up to the double Michelin star chef. Get in while you can, because the theme will change within 3 months. We look forward to coming back next year!

1 year ago Ruxandra Costescudescribed this experience as follows:

Amazing hotel. We enjoyed our stay over Christmas time. Beautiful rooms, many restaurants for food options. Beautiful spa and hotel surroundings. We would be definitely returning.

1 year ago James Edwardswrote only this for this place:

This place is nothing short of incredible! I stayed here with my family for our vacation. From the moment we pulled up until the time we had an emergency exit, this place, the staff, and the service were the BEST! Markus Dorner (head concierge) and Luka gave us the best food recommendations and the best places to optimize our stay for the 2 days we were in Zurich. The Spa is INCREDIBLE! The food is amazing. The rooms are so comfy. I can't rave about this place enough. The thing that earned our love and loyalty is the customer service. We had checked out on the second day and were headed to drop off our rental car. We had just turned the corner out of the valet when we got a flat tire. We were on our way to the airport! Our flight took off in 2 hours! I for sure thought we were going to miss it. I ran up to the valet again and found Markus at the concierge desk and told him my predicament. He wasn't even phased. All he said was, “Do not worry, we will drive you and I will take care of your car.” I was stunned, embarrassed, and incredibly grateful. He didn't hesitate at all. He went and grabbed a driver. We all got in a car and we drove down to my rental, got my luggage and the driver got us to our flight ON TIME! I got a call from Markus as I was walking onto the plane that everything was taken care of. The resort is great but the service is spectacular! I am so grateful to The Dolder Grand for allowing its employees to take quick action when needed and address the customer's concerns as they see fit. It saved us big time! Thank you guys!

Kaufleuten Restaurant (Kultur, Anlässe und Bankette)
We rate the place at 8.4/10!. This place was visited and rated 3510-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago K. S.what can I say about this place?

Very nice restaurant with excellent service. We had an amazing time at our dinner. The food was good but for that kind of prices we expected a little bit more. So the prices in General are very high and in my eyes way to much for what you get. So the portions are quite small. It is understandable because it is the Kaufleuten Restaurant which has a long history and everything, but still to much. The rest was phenomenal, nice ambience and superfriendly staff. I can definitely recommend you to go there and enjoy your time.

1 year ago Aleksandra Ahrenswhat can I say about this place?

We love this place so much that it becomes our living room every other Saturday. The loveliest people, the best food and always the best atmosphere. Thank you for welcoming us (with and without our kids) with the warmest open arms Zurich has to offer ❤️

2 years ago Elie Koivunensaid the following about this gem:

When you arrive to this kind of restaurant, you can rest assured that the food will be good. The avocado salad was perfect and the tuna main course was exquisite! I definitely would go back just for these servings and to try other items on the menu. The side orders were ok though the French fries were as if straight from McDonald's and the bread was a bit hard and dry served without a butter spread. The service was professional and courteous and the whole place had a nice vibe. Small touches here and there added to the ambiance, e.g. the art work on the menu cover!

1 year ago Tomislav Zografskiwrote only this for this place:

Excellent service, tasty food and very nice location. The staff were very friendly and helpful, refilling glasses, offering help and always being there in case you need something. Parking is somewhat difficult to find, just use the parking garages or even better, come by public transport.

1 year ago Jesper Holmewrote only this about this place:

My group of five friends and I recently visited Zürich and decided to dine at a recommended spot, known both for its cuisine and its adjacent nightclub. When we made our reservation over the phone, the restaurant assured us that, as diners, we'd have seamless and complimentary access to the nightclub. Upon arrival, the nightclub's doorman reiterated this, instructing us to present our receipt for entry. Inside the restaurant, the ambiance was chaotic. The acoustics were poor, resulting in overwhelming noise from numerous children and bustling staff. The setting wasn't particularly inviting. However, our initially aloof waiter proved to be prompt, competent, and entertaining, despite a few hiccups with our wine and service. The food was satisfactory but didn't match its price point. On our way to the nightclub post-dinner, a person who seemed to be in a managerial role approached us. Contrary to prior assurances, she informed us that due to a special DJ event that evening, everyone, including restaurant patrons, would be charged an entry fee of CHF 40 per person. She seemed indifferent to the fact that we had chosen this venue specifically for the promised hassle-free entry, or that her team had confirmed this arrangement twice. While she did offer us expedited entry, the catch was the non-negotiable full entrance fee. After some back-and-forth, we opted out and left, vowing not to return.

2. place deserves Haus Hiltl

Haus Hiltl
Definitely deserves 9.2/10!. This place was visited and rated 8132-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Bettina Mattoswrote only this about this place:

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in the world. There are more choices in the buffet than you can manage to try, even if you choose the all you can eat option. There’s so much variety! It’s global vegetarian cuisine, and it’s all delicious. The restaurant itself is super cool, hip and beautiful. This restaurant is iconic for sure. Absolutely recommend!

1 year ago ishan khalsa- why does he think this place is on the list?

A great vegetarian restaurant, with the best variety in all of the city served in a buffet. The food is charged by weight so you only pay for what you eat from the buffet, unless you have the appetite, then you can take an unlimited meal for 63 CHF. Absolutely worth it if you are in the mood for a heavy meal. P.S. they had some great Indian food options too

1 year ago Mohd Farazwhat can I say about this place?

Best options for vegetarians ever! The restaurant works as a buffet for vegetarians. You get to choose between a breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet depending on when you arrive. You can also order a la carte if you visit the back of the restaurant. They give you almost too many good options. Pricing is based on weight so the you pick up a plate, fill it, then weigh it at the bar and pay. Bread is excluded from the weighing. You'll very quickly break over 20 Francs but you'll love your meal.

2 years ago Dilexshan Swrote only this for this place:

Truly this is the world best incredible vegetarian restaurant & bar. Also, The biggest veg buffet I have ever seen in Zürich. They have so many options in foods also the desserts. The Vegetarian lovers have a best selections there. Also Non-Veg lovers can try theirs foods. The Buffet is pay-by-weight. Not cheap, but very good. In my suggestion don’t go on noon because they will have a big crowd and you have to waiting for the tables. But, when you visit on evening or maybe dinner you will have lot of places. Also they have a restaurants. Great atmosphere and friendly. Highly recommended for everyone !!!

1 year ago Delwyn Goodrickwrote only this about this place:

Great to have so many vegan options for us. Such a great experience we went there three times on our 3 day visit to Zurich. A lovely server from Portugal was AMAZING. So warm and friendly and super helpful

1. place - Zeughauskeller

Zeughauskeller
We rate 8.8/10!. This place was visited and rated 10516-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Douglas Pierotti: it is necessary to add to this place:

If there is one restaurant to visit in Zurich, Zeughauskeller, is the one, imo. Established generations ago and encompasses a historic building that dates back to the 1480’s. It’s a combo of beer/dining hall that seats close to 400 and it’s always full. We went for dinner with no reservations but the wait was only 10 minutes. It has lively atmosphere with tourists, families and locals all dining. Sausages, brats and other meats primarily makeup the menu and they do it right. I had the fresh veal in mushroom sauce with a side of rosti €36 (think American hash browns) and my friend had the original veal sausage €23. Both were excellent. We added the meringue whipped dessert. Two meringue cookies, with ice cream in between and whipped cream on top €14. Also delicious. A bit pricey but you’re there for the experience, atmosphere, history as well as the very good food. Check out the videos and pics. That’s all for now!

1 year ago Alex Serebrovwhat can I say about this place?

The place seems to be a local attraction and almost all the time has a huge line of people who want to be seated. However, the place has two entrances the main where is the line and the other one right across it. Apparently (as we didn't know which one is which), we came through the second entrance and got seated without staying in line. Take it as the life hack. The place is sort of mesume as decorated with different pieces of weaponry from medieval time to WWII as the Switzerland is famous for its craft in weapon making The food was good and hearty, not fancy, more like on home-cooked style, but yet very tasty. I really liked their calf liver.

1 year ago Petra Pospisilovasaid the following about this gem:

The restaurant staff warmly welcomed us as we entered. Though we had only one hour to eat, we enjoyed the delicious food, especially the perfectly cooked meat. One rösti was a bit undercooked, while the other was overcooked, but overall, we were satisfied with the service. We highly recommend this restaurant for great food and atmosphere.

1 year ago tran trandescribed this experience as follows:

A lively and welcoming dining spot, where sharing a table with fellow diners is likely due to its historical mess hall decor—adding to the fun dining experience. The menu predominantly features sausages, potatoes, and cheese, offering hearty fare fit for a Viking.

1 year ago Brandon Virgo- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

If you like beer halls with good food and good customer service then this place is the place to go. I went with a group of Japanese business men and the restaurant had a Japanese menu. That was probably the first time I’ve seen that happen. Definitely a recommended place to go and the prices are very reasonably with huge portions. 日本語のメニューもあります。
