We quite enjoyed this small but cozy wine bar and restaurant. Small outdoor seating, cozy bar area, a few inside tables, and some garden-like outdoor seating. Friendly staff and several good wine options for under €10 per glass. Also, beer on tap. The food menu is small with only a limited number of options. It get more crowded as it gets later! Of course! We will be back!

What a great place. The food and cocktails are amazing and affordable, the selection of spirits (tum, Whisky etc) is very impressive! Nice old school / speak easy music in the background is the icing on the cake. The owner and staff are friendly and welcoming. We will be back! Tip: ask for a table in the inside garden, it's beautiful. Go here, you won't regret it!

We chose Vinarkia fairly spontaneously, but were so glad we did after two hours of wonderful service and fantastic drinks. The team are both welcoming and informed, so if you're coming to take advantage of their wine credentials you won't be disappointed. We were there for a couple of spritz before dinner, and honestly one you've had a couple here you'll realise the difference with the many others you'll be served around town... these are people who care about the drinks they serve. It's also just a brilliant vibe. Great playlist, and lots of opportunity for people watching. The charcuterie boards looked delicious from a distance as well. Were we not here for only a night, we'd be back straight away.

Great place, great atmosphere and interiors, great and friendly service, delicious food and drinks! I took a vegetarian “tagliere” with a selection of grilled veggies and cheeses, a cauliflower flan and tiramisu as dessert. Everything was superb. I come here every time I’m in Lucca and I’ll keep coming :)

From the outside it doesn't look promising, but it's a Very good restaurant! Plenty of gluten free options as seen in the picture: ravioli, tortellini, lasagna and chicken nuggets. Highly recommended.

Great atmosphere and help when it rained a lot. 🔥 The staff understood English, there was a lady from the US. We had hot chocolate and homemade pasta.

My local for a couple of months! There's lots of choice in Lucca but the staff were very friendly & the service was fantastic which kept me coming back. Quite often I'd be given a free plate of spuntini. I'll miss this place!

The cocktails are excellent! The staff are incredibly sweet people. You need to go a bit early to find a spot outside. We were at Franklin '33 every day while we were in Lucca. Sitting inside is very difficult because of the heat. They need to address this.

Awesome handcrafted cocktails with friendly staff. You get chips and nuts with the drinks as well. Cute atmosphere and lots of amazing options in the cocktail menu. Highly recommend!

The bar is a bit retreated from the busy shopping street. The atmosphere is dark, chilled, but friendly. We ordered negroni and the "Regina Elizabeta II" (Queen Elizabeth the second). Both are well prepared. I love the colours on the top of my drink. Just looking at it already gives one a delighted mood. The young owners are very friendly and share their ideas and visions with the bar and the city. They serve breakfast daily but closed on Monday - glad that we happened to bump into here on that Sunday night. Definitely we will come by again.

A lively cocktail bar off the beat and track a little but we'll worth the search. Great selection of drinks and a very atmospheric environment. Good music playing in the background.

Had a great time last night with some awesome cocktails and friendly conversation. Also got to try some local amaro called AmarPisa that was amazing. If you love cocktails definitely stop in at Franklin 33 while in Lucca!

Wonderful dinner tonight. The food was exquisite, I had the veal and it was so tender. But what sets the restaurant apart is really the service, the staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your meal. The owner also interacted enthusiastically with guests and recommended dishes and wine and olive oil. A great experience and you cannot miss it in Lucca!

Visiting Lucca for the first time, I fortunately found a reference to this restaurant before we arrived and booked an evening meal, as it is difficult if not impossible to book on the day as it gets fully booked. The reception on arrival and the friendly staff during the evening made our visit. The attention to detail was excellent in both the staff and the food. Pasquale suggested the best wine to go with the food and was happy to change it where it didn't suit our taste. The food is superb, fresh and very tasty and beautifully presented. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting and it would be a good reason for us to return to Lucca!

Best food I’ve ever had.. yes, I said “food” because this was like nothing I’ve had before. All dishes were absolutely perfect and then it had some magic added to it. But what stood out most of all was the love, passion and care Pascale and his hosts had for us. They made us feel special and the wine was sublime as well. In love and will come here over ander over again. Can’t explain how we love this place.

What an experience. We were extremely lucky to find a seat here, .. as it was booked out. From behind the window though a gentleman in a tropical colored wine glass shirt waves us in. “Us??” They had a cancellation and we could take their table. Understandably fully booked as the wine list was amazing, even by the glass choice was plenty. What else to expect from an enthusiast. Service was human, playful and on point. Every individual seemed to love their job. After a starter and primi, my only disappointment was not having any room for another round. 😅 My wife took the tuna tartar and fior di late ravioli, where I had steak tartar and tagliattelle ragu bianco. Yummy! Left with a big smile heading towards the Lucca wall to walk in to the night with live music, opera and tango. Thank you!

Last night I dined at da Pasqualino with close friends. The Osteria is always booked solid so you MUST make advance reservations! Fortunately, I did. The ambiance was cozy and warm and even through the restaurant was full, we were easily able to carry on a conversation, which was really nice. Our server was very good and really knows his wine! The wine list is quite extensive. The food was excellent and Pasquale was there making everyone feel attended to and happy. I highly recommend this very authentic Osteria!

I am not a big eater and I like tasty appetisers as main course. Here I had fried polenta with hummus and onions which was absolutely delicious. Then a soup and an excellent warm chocolate cake. Everything delicious. The restaurant is large but with small, cozy, elegant rooms and an outside terrace. Service was good, prices average. Great experience 👍🏻

What a place, to begin with it is an absolutely beautiful venue. The ambience is fantastic, the staff delightful and the menu choice is something to behold. I have not eaten so well for such excellent value for money since I don't know when! How on earth can two people have a three course meal with a bottle of the local wine for less than €100 in such a stunning location, this is a credit to all the staff, if I lived locally I would know you all on 1st name terms within a month. The food was served hot and in a timely manner, this may seem like a basic but think how many times you have eaten out and one of your party is still awaiting their main meal and you have almost finished - simple things matter. I thank you all for completing a wonderful day as your guest in your encapsulating City.

This restaurant has a very nice setting both indoors and in the outside area. Slightly formal looking, but the menu is well priced and the food excellent. I enjoyed a special risotto dish, but there are several other items on the menu I'd like to try. Recommended!

The place itself is incredibly charming, classy without being pretentious with a great terrace to dine outside. It presents itself as a higher end restaurant. While on some levels this corresponds to reality, on others it misses the mark. Food: we started with a trio of finely chopped raw veal with 3 different sauces. Delicious: excellent meat and beautiful balanced sauces , one of them with truffle which did not end up being overpowering. They tried their hand at the cacio e pepe with red scampi tartare: I was curious. And disappointed: too much pepper and too strong of a cheese (a mix of parmesan and pecorino) forced me to find my own balance in trying to still feel the taste of the scampi. In the end I had 4-5 bytes of pasta with scampi and the rest without as there wasn't enough for the whole dish. The pork cheek was excellent, very tender. But the mashed potatoes accompanying it had been most likely done with a mixer rather than a siv, which caused it to become a tad grainy. The most underwhelming part is the service: many people running around who don't talk to one another. We had just finished the starter and a waiter comes to ask if we want the desserts; they brought to our table someone else's food; they counted 4 glasses of wine instead of 2 and put them on the bill. Mistakes happen but this was pure lack of communication. All in all, a good effort but there's a lot of room for improvement.

Instead of striving to be ultra sophisticated and imaginative they should concentrate on the basics of good cuisine.

One of the best restaurants we went to in Italy 6 years ago and this trip. Food was amazing and very well priced. Homemade pasta was silky. Staff were friendly and very patient with my Italian.

About, the food, was good yet some of the portions are rather minimal. Prices are reasonable considering being in the inner city of a pretty touristic place. Agree on the parmesan in little bags, somewhat a canteen feeling there. Service was mixed with kind people and the main lady serving us not having her best day. The food didn't come at the same time and especially the starter coming together with the main dish doesn't make sense yet they didn't seem to realise this Also 2ns bottle of water came when we were almost done so easy things to avoid since there are multiple waiters.

If I could give 6 stars I would. This little family run restaurant is on a side street, away from a lot of the crowds. The service and the food is amazing. The prices are really reasonable, especially for wine. We had lunch there and then after looking around at other restaurants throughout the day came back here for dinner. Do not pass up the opportunity to eat here. It is genuinely worth it.

Best pasta I've ever eaten! I ordered the wild boar tagliatelle *chef's kiss*, white house wine which was so refreshing, and the tiramisu which was light and delicious! Everything was super fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is so authentic! I felt like I truly experinced Lucca when I dined here!

Our favourite meal in Lucca. Best meatballs I have ever eaten!!!! We had meatballs to start, then a pasta each (pappardelle chinghiale and taglioniri truffle and tortellini luchese) and then the ribs and aubergine parmigian (between 3). So much food but washed down with the house red it was very reasonable. We already recommended others to go!!

For it was just a convenient place to meet friends for a few drinks, but the service and drinks (with snack) were good and the host cheerful and informative. In better weather you can sit outside, as it was raining we were inside, it was Monday so only a couple of other customers, just as well as the bar area seats only 8-10. Well worth a stop by if you have a little time to spare.

Fabulous little spot to grab a drink and must try the amazing meats and cheeses. Extremely friendly staff and if your lucky the 90's alternative will take you down memory lane.

After visiting the duomo, this is the place to get a glass of wine and a salami (of wild boar, typical regional) cheese platter. It is a small eatery that serves local produce - wine, beer, platters and paninos. The boss and staff were friendly and guests can enjoy the good view of the Duomo over a glass of wine.

One of the best places for a drink and a panino or tagliere in Lucca. Great people. Delicious salumi. Generous pours.

Lovely small bar with seating along the bustling plaza. The local red wine was delicious! 😋🍷 They had a very impressive list of house made beers as well 🍺. Offering meat and cheese platters. They were very friendly, welcoming and helpful!! Definitely a wonderful place to hang out in Lucca ☀️

Lovely restaurant just outside the walls of the city of Lucca. Stumbled upon this locals' gem. Delicious food, friendly, efficient service, and warm and inviting ambiance. Very reasonable prices as well. We will definitely return.

This was the best restaurant we went to in Italy. Brilliant for me (gluten free) and my partner. The house red wine was delicious and only cost €13. They provided free the best gluten free bread roll I’ve had in my life, I couldn’t tell the difference compared to normal bread. The gluten free Tortelli was amazing. We ended having two courses each and the veal was also great. The total price for two courses each, a bottle of wine, a bottle of water and the cover charge was €69, which was a similar price we had paid elsewhere for a single course each. My biggest regret of my trip to Italy was I couldn’t come to this restaurant twice.

Gorgeous restaurant, serving delicious Tuscan food. The staff were friendly and the food was full of flavour! We had the bistecca and lamb chops, both were delicious! The cheesecake was very light for dessert, tasty! Make sure to reserve to get a table as they hook up quickly! The decor of the restaurant was very pretty.

The best way to find a gem is to.ask your local bar or cafe where to go. The design and seating leads you to believe that it is going to cost you an arm and a leg, but the natural wine selection is sexy and the whole range is within reasonable price point. The rabbit is so tender and the quality of the t bone was far the best tasted in Italy. This is at 9.30pm where chef are normally rushing etc but our experience was.exceptional. we have not order the dessert art the time that i write this review but If it is not as good as the standard than other courses, i would be surprised. Don't miss it..this was our.last supper for.the holidays and it was the best meal so far. X

Delicious fresh food. Our group of 9 was treated with good service and such a variety of food. We shared pasta dishes, meat and fish main courses, and many starters. Nothing disappointed, so rather than naming this and that dish, try many and share. Your servers will treat you like family.

Very touristic place - too many items on the menu. Mediocre quality of food - Mezzo Salumi e Mezzo Formaggio was okay, but not great - supermarket quality. Tordelli zucchini e funghi was not good - sticky, and funghi were completely in the way - did not eat them - not a good dish. Lokal wine okay, not great, but expensive - best part was the Soufflé Cioccolato - really delicious! Service was also fine.

Stepping into this osteria feels like visiting the living room of an eccentric collector - lively, and brimming with quirky objects that defy all aesthetic logic. The décor seems eager to tell a thousand stories, perhaps too many. The staff adds a theatrical touch to the ambiance: two waitresses without uniforms - a bohemian twist, perhaps? - and a third comfortably seated in the back, busy with accounting, presumably to make sense of the rather steep menu prices. As for the food, the menu boasts an abundance of Tuscan specialties, so extensive it feels like a culinary encyclopedia. If nothing else, it’s impossible not to find something to whet your appetite. Portions are generous - a plus for anyone who likes to leave a restaurant feeling full - and while the quality isn’t flawless, it’s still enjoyable except for the subpar dessert. The service could be described as rustic, which is a polite way of saying casual and a bit improvised.

On a Sunday afternoon we stumbled upon this osteria. The fact that there was outside seating, and that it was full of local families (presumably fresh from church) drew us in. They advertise typical Tuscan-style dishes, and they did not disappoint. Since there were four of us, we were able to try a variety of plates - an appetizer, soup, salad, pizza, and main dish. All were enjoyable, and reasonably priced.

Recently visited Lucca during Lucca comics and Games. We travelled across. Italy for 2 weeks and this is by far the best food we had during the trip. We ate here on our first night in Lucca and on our last because it was so good.

I’ve been a client ever since it opened and to be honest it has never disappointed. Amazing appetizers, perfectly cooked roasts, insta-worthy burgers and huge chocolate-covered soft pretzels are just some of the amazing items on the menu. And don’t get me started on the amazing selection of beers! The atmosphere is also very cozy and fun, just like being in a Bavarian pub! Totally recommended! ❤️

I will give it 2 stars for the convenient location for parking however, while I really hoped it would be a good, nice change from Italian food, it tastes like processed chemicals. All of it. The servers are nice but the service is fair to be generous. We have been a few times, hoping each was just an isolated bad experience but I sincerely would skip this and try something else. When we asked for the air to be turned on in 33 degree stale heat, they did and 5 minutes later, “it broke”....With each attempt to redeem themselves, it just gets worse. The former manager seems to be gone and things have gone south and fast since his departure.

We found this restaurant with my husband while on vacation and we loved it. Food is good, service was on point and the environment was great. We will be back on our next visit

Good place for a decent dinner if you're looking for something different than Italian or sushi. If you're of German/Austrian origin you'll find this place almost like home however do expect to taste some minor variations versus original meals. Hint: if you come with kids ask for a table near the play corner!
