Very good service and meal variants. Styling design is giving good ambiance, it can be pleasant for whole family as well as friends. Recommanded!

Five of us visited Viking Restaurant Harald when the WRC was in Jyväskylä, our tour guide wasn’t aware of this restaurant, but we’d definitely recommend it. The menu is available in the English language, and offers a wide range of Finnish/Viking inspired dishes, it also includes a few set meals, which are reasonably priced. Beer is available, but I’d recommend the Mead if you have not tried it before, its honey flavour is sweet, but potent! It’s not just the Finnish menu that sets this restaurant apart, some of the dishes are presented with a miniature Viking sword, and there is also the option of wearing plastic Viking helmets too. I tried the “Voyage of Odin” set menu which was 41,70 € and consisted of: Shepherd’s starter salad VE, G Salad with balsamic vinaigrette, pickled cucumber, radish, tomato-basil salsa and pickled red onion. Ironside’s beef petit tender L, G Sliced beef petit tender and melted garlic butter, Vikings’ shield potatoes, creamy pepper sauce, honey-roasted root vegetables, parmesan-mustard mayonnaise and pickled red onion. Mousse from Valhalla VE Cheesecake-flavoured mousse and cookie crumble, caramel-cookie sauce and strawberry sorbet.

Good food. I always enjoy the taste. However I think it's a bit pricey for the portion and resturant type. Drinks are also pricey, wine at least. Service was pleasant, but not outstanding. What I like the most is the ambience of this resturant chain. It does feel like being at a viking times tavern restaurant. This was the branch in Jyväskylä city centre.

Was great this last time visiting here. Food and desert were top notch! Come hungry and leave happy.

Very nice restaurant with Viking spirit. Kind and professional service. Delicious food. I strongly recommend to try reindeer and local beer. During weekends and holidays better to book table in advance.

Absolutely surprizing experience. Hotel in great location, situated on the shore of Jyväsjärvi lake in the middle of university campuses. 20 minutes from local airport. Very comfortable and practically furnished rooms with an excellent view of the lake (I recommend choosing a room with a private sauna, it's really worth it). Good breakfast, the hotel restaurant is also good. What is really brilliant, is the very nice and helpful reception staff, who will give you comprehensive information about local transport, sights, and will recommend a really great local restaurant (Kissanviisket, you must visit). Jyväskylä has very nice Alvar Aalto museum, Central Finland museum and, nearby in Tikkakoski you will find the Finnish Air Force Museum.

Clean, quiet, good breakfast. No bad things to say really.

I had a memorable stay at the hotel. What made my stay awesome was the brand new sauna and the bicycles offered as part of the stay. There was breakfast buffet which was decent. I really enjoyed having breakfast looking at the lake and bridge while the sun was shining. It was just a peaceful and relaxing experience. The customer service was of the highest standards both at the reception and later when I had dinner (burger) and a cocktail. The burger was delicious and super fresh. The cocktail (Aperol Spritz) was just about right. I highly recommend Hotel Alba for your stay at Jyväskylä. It’s perfect for couples too! I won’t be forgetting the view from the hotel any time soon.

The rooms are fine, the personal are polite. The best is the breakfast. Clean beds, clean rooms and a nice view over the lake. It is possible to rent a bicycle or i guess during Summer even a boat. My trip was in mid September. Sauna included, if you visit Finnland, you should visit at least once the Sauna.

This is one of the inexpensive hotel options in Jyväskylä. The rooms were clean, and I had the lake view, which was nice. Breakfast buffet was very good. I take one star off because it is one of the hotels that is a bit far and requires a car, and because the sound insulation was quite poor.

I called the reception it was late, told her we are coming but i have not booked yet and we will be there late, she said yes okay no problem… 10 minutes later all rooms were “sold out” on Expedia for that night even though there were more than 10 rooms available right before. This message is to help the management keep an eye on what’s happening behind their backs, and how neglectful or lazy behavior can really affect their business.

A very nice boutique/ family hotel, sister hotel to Yöpuu. Especially the breakfast is of high quality - locally sourced items, on-site cooked stuff.

What a beautiful hotel. We loved our room with a sauna. It was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The only negatives were the sharp doorhandle and the loud bathroom door. breakfast was one of the best breakfasts we've ever had. We loved the variety and freshness of the products. So why only 3 stars? Because we spent our wedding night here (and they knew that) and the hotel didn't do anything for us. We were hoping for maybe a glass of champagne, or some chocolate or just someone congratulating us. Normally I wouldn't ask for anything, but I know that for a special occasion I know it's quite normal for a hotel to do something small. This wouldn't cost them anything, and it would have made us happy.

Amazing location and the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. The room (with ensuite sauna) was wonderful as well. My only complaint unfortunately is something that made a big difference in how we felt: We were there for our wedding weekend and this was not acknowledged by the hotel at all. I mentioned it in our reservation and I checked into the hotel in a wedding dress, holding a bouquet of flowers. What I find odd is that I talked to two different receptionists like this (one when leaving bags in the luggage room in the morning and one when checking in in the afternoon) and neither congratulated us. Please care enough about your guests to check their notes in the reservation and/or ask them how their day is going, especially if they are clearly celebrating something. This was possibly the most significant weekend in our lives and it was just so disappointing to have it completely ignored.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. -in a mall so some rooms don't have window - the ones with window - towards the main walking street with bars restaurants, noisy at night, drunk people screaming all night. -can hear even the rain and everything from the other rooms - some rooms renovated but mainly outdated rooms in a very old building - the worst thing - cannot turn off the air conditioning - huge air conditioning going on all night- although we asked many times - service - just ingnoring. they replied: if others complain we can stop the air otherwise nothing to do( such a lame reply). and on top of it, they offered a chocolate to make us shut up -overall - the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Simply amazing food in the most surprising neighborhood. It's really well worth coming just for the delicious Indian food. But they top it up with top notch welcoming and friendly service. Don't miss this place if you are staying in Jyväskylä! And almost all of the food is gluten free!

Perfectly grilled tandoori platter and the softest, fluffiest naan I’ve ever had in Finland! 😍 Every bite was a flavour explosion — highly recommend this place for true Indian taste.

A wonderful place! Very delicious and cozy, with excellent service and attentive staff. The buffet costs €17 and includes a wide variety of dishes, drinks, tandoor, and a special hot dish. Thank you, we’ll definitely come again :)

I felt lucky to have found this restaurant. One of the best Indian restaurants in Finland. They have buffet till 9pm and cost 14€. It was definitely worth the price. Biryani and sea food curry was excellent. Mango lassi was delicious. Their Indian tea is the best you will find in Finland. 🤩. This restaurant will be my food stop every time I visit Jyväskylä. The staff was super nice and welcoming. Chef made us special tea when requested. Open kitchen is also a great experience.

Stayed Sat-Sun for one night. Very good breakfast although nothing remarkable. We enjoyed it a lot and ate our tummies full. No specialty coffees available but mini croissants, pancake squares, fruit, smoothies, scrambled eggs and all the necessities made the best hotel breakfast in a while. Glutenfree mini pancakes were available by request! Very good service at the front desk. Positive attitude and a smile is enough to make it a good experience. Four EV-chargers in the garage. Good to know: it’s not very spacious so larger cars wont fit in! 19€/days parking was a little much for hotel guests in my opinion. Room was very clean and beds comfy.

Very nice and fresh hotel with nice rooms. Good breakfast with a lot to choose from, even for those with gluten allergies. Good dinner. Extra plus for the nice welcome with the welcome box with goodies for our dog. The pool and the gym are usable and have an okay selection. Centrally located, which was appreciated.

Great and informative receptionist. Parking is easy to find just next to the hotel. The Superior Sauna room was big, modern, great sauna and bathroom with a very large shower. We had nothing to complain about the room, very pleased especially for the price we paid!

A good grocery store, a children’s care room, and a play area. Plenty of space for a snack break, but atleast on Sunday the buffet wasn’t anything special.

ABC restaurants and service stations are located throughout Finland on major routes and towns. Large selection of meals or buffet lunches, also snacks, drinks and well stocked shops, fuel , electric charging points, parking for coaches and HGV s.

Bad overpriced food, took 40 mins to get my portion in an almost empty dining hall. My friend making a phonecall outside who joined me 10 minutes later ordered the same portion and his beeper went off before mine. 1/10 Food was genuinely very bad.

Just regular ABC station. Lunch menu was pretty good, but pizzas were very dry.

Basic, you'll get there almost everything. The men restroom is quite small and sometimes a bit messy.

Really really terrible service!!! I drove all the way(30min) to the store from Korpilahti, ordered five burgers for take away, but only got 4 burgers. After I discovered that, I called the store. The phone operator answered me in English, and after I explained the situation, she replied in Finnish, pretending can’t speak English. No reliable service, no honesty😡

24/7 open restaurant. I came in at midnight and I was planning to stay until the morning bus. And a very kind restaurant worker lady said, 1-1,5 hour after I finished with my food, sorry you have to leave the restaurant. And the restaurant was not busy at all. Her kind smile on her face such as a powerful poison in the food and drink what they served with this level of kindness. Honestly I never had this worse experience in any McDonald's restaurant, then this one before.

It's just too busy and the drive through can be a long queue. Is this because the food is great? No - of course it's ok, but Kouvola lacks choice compared to other places and it's so expensive even to eat at home I come here 1-2 times a month, it's for the kids benefit really. The food quality/how hot it is/etc varies a lot. Cleanliness is also average.

This place has just about everything you need in one spot—fuel, food, and even a sweet treat from the ice cream truck that’s often parked there. The food is surprisingly good, and the outdoor view is a nice bonus, making it a great stop whether you’re just passing through or looking to take a short break. Definitely worth checking.

For a long trip traveller its a good place to stop, its very convenient and located in Jyväskylä, place is good, neat & clean. I recommend to taste abc burger which I really like and I didn’t expect that kind of taste frankly speaking , however its also cheap. Moreover, its open for 24 hour so there is no complication about timing. Customer service from the ABC and other store is really good and professional. So if you are going by drive I would recommend the place or you can keep the restaurant in your list to visit.

This ABC has become a regular stop for us while driving from South of Finland to Lapland. They usually have a good quality buffet for lunch, but if you arrive late in the day, also the burgers are good and fries are crispy 👍 Large parking area, gas station, restaurant, shop, wc. We like it!

Big enough service station to serve breakfast and lunch. Also groceries and some other random bits you might want to pick up on your travels. Has truck parking and charging points.

Like anyother ABC. Location for this ABC is perfect, it is situated almost excatly in the middle of Tampere and Kuopio. This is our regular visiting place. Apart from prices, cleanlines is sometimes problem in here.
