Hotel Maharaja has a restaurant that serves pure vegetarian food, we arrived little late in the evening so we were refused to serve certain dishes that were supposed to take some time. But later we were served dishes that we ordered and we were lost for words, the food was simple yet great in taste! It did not have oily body or greasy breads, limited selection was available but wasn't disappointed with the quality.

Overall good experience. Rooms are decent in size bed are just ok type. Food are good in taste it can be upgraded. Room service is good and staff are well mannered and trained. Location is awesome just 3-4 minutes of walking from PASUPATI NATH TAMPLE.

The pure vegetarian hotel with 4 star luxurious services. It's fooding variety and rooms are so well designed that everyone will always want to live there. But the wifi services at day is bad but after 5 pm it's quite good. If anyone is vegetarian and having finding best hotel to live it's perfect in every aspect.

I order aloo Paratha which was about 160 rs. I asked him what was included in that, he replied curd. I ate the food which was fine. But when I recieved the bill, the aloo Paratha was of 400 rs.. When they showed the menu, there was another aloo Paratha on the next page which was of 400 rs. I was intentionally mislead and had to pay the full price. I have also attached the photos of the aloo Paratha.

Revolution Café was busy but not overly crowded when we visited. It has a very extensive menu covering Western favourites alongside Nepali, other Asian dishes, pizzas, Mexican food, and Italian pasta. The food and drinks were good, though a little slow to arrive. Seating is available both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor tables are right on the street and can be a bit loud, but still able to hold a conversation without issue. Service was very friendly and welcoming. They mentioned that vegetables and fruit are washed with mineral water and that organic ingredients are used where possible. Cards are accepted, but there’s a 4% surcharge, so paying cash is cheaper. Toilets are Western-style and located just outside the restaurant.

Food here was so good. This cafe offers variety of foods with good taste. Huge sitting space is available here. Service was fast and good. Indoor and outdoor both sitting space is available here. Ambiance is also good. You may feel the price is little expensive but food is good. Thank you.

I visited the restaurant for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It was a pleasant experience overall even though the windows were open with an aircooler.As we neared the end of our meal, the place got quite crowded, which seemed to slow down the service a bit—likely due to the sudden rush. Still, the staff remained friendly and courteous throughout. The Chicken Tikka Masala was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with the homemade chapati. The lemonade was refreshing and well-balanced. However, the BBQ Kathmandu was disappointing and not something I would order again. Food and Beverage service was definitely little too slow for my liking as we had plans Despite that, I would certainly return to this place for another meal

The price of foods are justified by the quantity they offer. Carbonara and potato sticks was best among our orders.

It’s one of it’s kind. Thank you for adding value to the city with newest experiences. Yet I feel it should be coming with half a price for ticketing of films in certain week days to gear up its game. Also the restrooms were bit messy. Similarly it would be great if the food had much variety and of price ranges.

One of the worst theatre in Kathmandu. The seats were all stained as if someone had peed in there. This totally falls out of the hype they have created The theatre feels like haunted and the washrooms were really dirty. There are couple of options nearby. My overall experience was very bad and wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Little bit expensive than other cinemas in town but seems to have ticket available most of the time. This place offers dinner with cinema. Screen is big and very good sound quality as I feel. Rest are narrow. Its located in front if Kathmandu municipality office.

Surprisingly best in town.....i went for doctor strange in the multiverse of madness, and it was awesome experience.....they start the show in time, no single ad, exact continuation after break time......wow....better than qfx.......nice waiting room, washroom also okay, place to keep bag and helmet safely..........sound, picture quality, seats all i found best........only locatio i find quite disturbing as it still in ctc mall which seems quite abandoned..........but anyway most recommended......

Watched KGF Chapter-2 there. The theare is slightly small as compared to other theatres but the Sound and Picture Quality is top notch. Parking is availbale at cheaper rate also (Rs. 15/Hour) and The theatre itself is easily accessible by everone. Recommended for everyone.

I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel in the heart of Thamel, and I am truly impressed by the service. From the moment I made my booking, the manager stayed in touch and arranged airport pickup for me. Even though my flight was delayed, they still picked me up on time without any hesitation, which I really appreciated. As soon as I walked in, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and friendly behaviour. It instantly made me feel welcome. The manager was amazing, and a gentleman named Saroj was truly phenomenal. He always had a beautiful smile and was willing to help with any questions I had. Overall, my 2-night, 3-day stay was memorable. I will definitely choose this place again for my next trip, and I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, comfortable hotel with genuinely happy and hospitable staff. A wonderful experience!

Thamel Boutique Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The service was outstanding, staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well maintained, making it easy to relax after a day out. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Thamel with shops, restaurants, and attractions just steps away, yet still peaceful inside the hotel. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kathmandu.

We had such a lovely stay and we were very well looked after. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is fantastic, which made our whole stay walkable. Our departing flight was very early and they packed us a packed breakfast to take to the airport. I highly recommend

We stayed at Thamel Boutique Hotel for 1 night when we arrived in Kathmandu before heading to Pokhara the next day. We arrived during a storm in early October and our flight arrived late, so we ended up arriving at the hotel at 2am. Mandeep greeted us at reception, he was so friendly and helpful. He helped us with our bags and sped up the check in process so we could get to sleep as soon as possible. We also got a glass of pineapple juice each on arrival which was much needed after a long day travelling! The breakfast was great, and the views from the restaurant were so cool over Kathmandu. Great value for money overall and would recommend this hotel due to the friendly staff, clean rooms and great location if you're looking to stay somewhere inexpensive.

How cool is the dude running this pub! Loved sitting here and having a few drinks and something to eat. Great location and atmosphere. Food we got was really nice and good value. Worth popping just to chat with the Nepalese man running it.

The Everest Irish pub is one of the best places to hangout in the thamel area. It is vibrant and the ambience is so good. You can hangout with your friends playing pool and having drinks. The bar has a high table and has a variety of wines and beers as well. You can climb upstairs and grasp the fresh air on the terrace. I recommend people visiting this place if you are nearby.

Nice little cozy Bar in the Center of Thamel. Reasonable Pricing of the Beers. Limited Food Menu but enough. Helpful staffs. Nice Ambiance with 'being in an Irish Bar Feel'. You could see why many Foreigners prefer this place. A MUST GO!

A fantastic Irish bar, better than many in continental Europe. No draught Guinness but there's almost no draught beer in Nepal so that's okay - draught Sherpa available ✅. Live sport with projector and TVs, pool table and comfortable seats. A must visit in Thamel Accessed via a doorway on the lane

Happy place for beer lovers. Has snooker and pool tables but might be long waits. Fried momos are the best here. Ambience is great. Platters i didnt liked much.

Had a wonderful experience. The Thai food here was delicious and authentic – especially loved the Pad Thai and the fresh papaya salad. The ambience is cozy with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Prices are little on higher side, but the food and service makes it worth. Plus, it's in a good location with easy parking.

Nice atmosphere and great service. The food was good but not exceptional. For example the red Thai curry is a staple that should be excellent at this price point. It had some chicken and bamboo shoots but no other vegetables and lacked flavour. The other dish we had was a noodle dish which basically tasted of soy sauce and not much else. Too expensive for what it is.

As a Thai person the food here didn’t taste authentic Thai, but I would say…Okay. Good atmosphere and service.

Excellent Thai food. We especially loved the desserts which you can also just order from their little cake stand outside the restaurant. Favorite was the hazelnut cream cake...which we came back for multiple times!

It's good to eat and sit. The waiter's service is also good. You can go and enjoy the food. The legs are not too expensive. You can enjoy the full meal for a couple of thousand. But it's a little difficult to see the menu because of the light.

This place is off the street so it's quiet and you can eat or drink in the garden or bar. It was recommeneded by the melting pot, a hemp clothing store. The food was excellent. My chicken Mango was perfectly done. It's so easy to overcook. It had cubed mango and other fruit and onions underneath. 3 sauces and French fries. My partner had the chicken mo mo. It was also heavenly. And they made it spicy by request. They have a good European recommend. The music is kind of jazzy and techno and fits the atmosphere. Nepal seems to be at the crossroads between India and China so there is a mix of foods on the menu - Asian, Italian, Nepalese, indian. Highly recomment. Sit outside at night.

Update from 5 star to 0, Never stepping here again. Past few experiences here was horrible, I didn't rush to update the review until today, when I gave them few feedback, regarding a drink, and the servers were trying to defend in such aggressive manner.Being a regular customer , I thought it would be great to talk to them rather than writing here however they seem to be too arrogant. I didn't complain about the mosquitoes and the extremely slow service last week, but today I talked to the guy in the counter regarding this as well. Good Food, Good Service and nice ambiance. Slightly expensive on budget side, but it's in heart if thamel itself so maybe because of this.

The live music was nice with the environment and the service was fine although there was decent amount of people. I was skeptical when receiving the food as it seems to be made in rush and unfortunately it was lacking of taste. If you order any variety of meat, you should be careful that it’s well-cooked or not. Ex: porc. Highly recommended, the place is not for the meat lovers.

The staff are so special here! We loved our stay at Hotel Yambu - value for money, great spot if wanting to walk to trekking shops in Thamel, and the staff went above and beyond many times to help us out. They are such lovely people. Also have hot showers!

Raj and his staff were great. Very polite, helpful and welcoming. Because we could start our trekking earlier, we wanted to reschedule our last booked night, that was absolutely no problem. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Included breakfast was good. The location is very near the boozy Thamel, but located in such way that there is not too much noise from the streets. We really enjoyed our stay at Yambu hotel!

Excellent location and service! Rooms are comfortable and Mr. Bhatta was kind enough to arrange a comfortable bus ride for us to pokhara and even dropped us to the bus park. Staff was extremely helpful and food at the restaurant was delicious. Breakfast is included and you can get black tea at any time of the day or night. Highly recommended! Would stay again !

We really like stay 4days here as it is closest to thamel, and the service staffs is all good. This hotel management made good arrangements for pickup and off very well, and the breakfast is good with highly consideration for halal food. It's plain scramble/ boiled egg with tea and love the paratha! Room is comfy and spacious too. One of the best is they have lift and stairs also, so it's super convenient for us!

The staff are helpful and are very courteous. This is the biggest plus point. And daily cleaning keeps the old hotel clean. However there are too many cons because of how old the building is. There is no AC function even if you switch it on. The rooms facing the street and afternoon sun even in winter is suffocating and very very warm. Opening the windows means pollution and noise. When I complained to the staff they sent a maintenance guy to basically switch off the ac that does not provide cool air. In the end they provided me a fan. During shower, it is hard to adjust the temperature of the water coming out of the shower head. It goes from cold to warm to scaling hot by itself. A bit of a night mare when showering. The room does not provide no room service signage. So this means cleaning staff comes every day even if you don’t want them to. No safe deposit box. The toilet bowl is really quite old and doesn’t look very clean. Bed is quite stiff. Lastly, the breakfast is basic. For the price I think it is ok.

We went to Nepal for three days. The Grand hotel is very good. Rooms were spacious and clean. The buffet breakfast was awesome. The staff was good. We enjoyed our Nepal trip completely. We found the shopping mall in Nepal so it was a pleasant surprise for us to find a shopping mall in such a small place Nepal. The hotel staff guided us accurately about which places to visit. So Grand hotel Nepal is a good choice for a short stay.

Truly Grand. I spent most of last week here, when the protests were at its peak. While this was stressful, the entire(!) staff at the Grand were really outstanding. In the midst of a crisis they were truly helpful and always kind. Despite everything going on, the hotel was kept in excellent running order. Truly a place for any time. I’d love to return here especially because the people have been so fantastic.

Stay Period: 6–11 December 2025 Very disappointing experience. A warning to anyone planning to order in-room dining: be cautious. I paid the waiter in cash at my door, signed the bill, and even tipped, yet at checkout I was told I hadn’t paid. Absolutely ridiculous. The receptionists and aaff seemed disoriented, made me wait far too long, and despite my suggesting two simple solutions: check the corridor camera or call the staff member who delivered the food—they couldn’t manage either. With my flight time approaching and no resolution, I had to pay a second time. Unprofessional, frustrating, and unacceptable. This really ruined the end of my stay.

Excellent Ambience, vibe and DJ. Some enjoyable music, drinks and good food, and absolutely RUBBISH service! My initial tendency was to rate 2 stars but the music and late make-up to service incremented another star. DJ understood his assignment and read the crowd perfectly ! Assisted the Musician appreciably to keep the guests engaged. As some state, service is ‘inconsistent’. With the drinks priced comparable to $$ (NPR 1100-1550), a costumer expects service. You can find all the rich folks at the restaurant; vibe is cosmopolitan. Guess no one expects the service at the cost they are paying. Chargeable water lands your table at the speed of light - before you are seated. Request for normal water was fulfilled after 4 follow-ups, once the starters were cold (prefer to drink before i eat). I would rate any service by the basics of serving water. The drinks were served after 20-25 mins of order, which seemed to be deliberate to bag more food order ! Chef & bartenders’ skills are wasted due to others’ attitude. The best service is by the employee at the lowest level of the food-chain, the server and cleaner ! One of the host seemed to be high on either substance or pride - couldnt determine which one it was. The corner table was neglected and they seemed to entertain guests on larger table and flashy dress up. Menu had options for all. All in all worth a visit if you need good atmosphere and have big pockets. Visit at your discretion.

First time visiting this place celebrating daughter’s birthday for a group of 20+. Food was good with live music by an solo artist. Pretty good overall. Will visit again.
