Hidden gem in Salt Lake City! The Park Café serves epic American breakfast next to Liberty Park. Golden French toast dusted with powdered sugar, giant buttermilk pancakes, crispy bacon, perfectly scrambled eggs, and crispy hashbrowns, portions are HUGE and delicious. Outdoor wooden tables under the sun, super chill park vibes perfect for weekend mornings. Gluten-free & veggie options available, friendly service, wallet-friendly prices. Whether you crave sweet or savory, this spot never disappoints. Must-visit breakfast in SLC!

4 months ago Courtney Fentonevaluates this place as follows:

My husband and I came to the Park Café for brunch on a Saturday morning while in Salt Lake City visiting. We got there relatively early for brunch standards, in my opinion, but there was still a significant wait for a table so after putting down our name, we went across the street and walked around the park for a bit. When our table was ready, we were seated inside, and the service was extremely fast and attentive. I decided to order the Michigan hash while my husband ordered the Chilaquiles. We also shared a single side order of French toast. The Michigan hash was decent, and quite filling. Nothing spectacular but solid comfort food. My husband enjoyed that Chilaquiles, for Utah standards, and I tasted it and thought it was decent as well. The French toast was probably my favorite part of the meal so I kind of regret not making that my whole meal. All in all, a decent place to grab breakfast, but I don’t know if it is worth the wait or the hype.

7 months ago Sherman Robinsonwrote only this for this place:

The Park Café in Salt Lake City is one of those spots that clearly draws a crowd—you can tell by the fact that we waited about 45 minutes to get a table. To be fair, the service once we were seated was outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcome. Everyone in our group seemed to love their food, which says a lot considering how different our orders were. I went with the Chilaquiles, one of my go-to breakfast favorites. They were… okay. Not bad by any means, but I’ve definitely had better. The red sauce just didn’t have much flavor, which was disappointing. The green sauce was better—it had a little more spice and a bit more depth—but still not quite the standout I was hoping for. Portion size was good, and the presentation was nice, but flavor-wise, it fell a little short for me. The atmosphere is energetic—almost too energetic. The noise level was so high that it was nearly impossible to have a conversation with the group without raising our voices. If you’re coming for a lively vibe and great service, you’ll be happy here. If you want a relaxed, quiet breakfast, this probably isn’t the place. Overall, good food, excellent service, but be prepared for a wait and a lot of noise.

My daughter and I had some time to kill before my dr appointment this morning. It was still early so we headed to The Park Cafe for some breakfast. Walking in, this joint was poppin!! I didn't think we were going to get sat as fast as we did. We got a cute little table in the corner. There are many servers there. The first gal grabbed our drink order. Hot coffee and Oj was dropped off quickly. I peeped out the menu on our way there so I knew what I wanted. Orders were taken shortly after. We kicked it and absorbed the vibe! The venue is dope. The decor, the variety of people eating there and the pace of it. It was fast moving and quick! Before we knew it, food was dropped off. I ordered the single breakfast. 2 eggs, hashbrowns and toast. Simple breakfasts are the best breakfasts to me. I also added some gravy to my hashbrowns. My eggs were cooked perfectly, over medium. The hashbrowns were crunchy and soft. The gravy made the hashbrowns that much tastier! I believe it's sausage gravy but it wasn't overwhelming in sausage. I'm good with just pepper country gravy and the gravy today was just right! My sourdough toast was buttered nicely, not one dry spot! My daughter ordered the sausage and mushroom hash. Man did she get a lot of food! You can see the nice pieces of sausage and mushrooms. The hash had onions and green peppers through out the potatoes. Her plate was hearty! We were only able to eat about half of our plates. I love how this joint is controlled choas. They are a well oiled machine with people coming in, people leaving, orders and everything else in between. The staff is super friendly. The food was fantastic! And the prices here are reasonable! You're not paying an arm and leg just to have a good meal to start the day. I'm happy I got to check this place out while I'm staying here in SLC. One of the best meals I have had so far! I look forward to coming back if my schedule allows it! I'm sold on the hashbrowns and gravy!

9. place deserves Gourmandise

Gourmandise
We rate the place at 9/10!. This place was visited and rated 5469-times

What our travelers says:

4 months ago William Soto- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Our experience at Gourmandise was exceptional. Every dish was beautifully presented, and the flavors were even better than they looked. I ordered the Scone Brisket Benedict and it was incredible. The pulled brisket was tender and full of flavor, and the bacon cheddar chive scone underneath gave it the perfect balance of savory and soft. The hollandaise was rich and smooth without being too heavy, and the roasted potatoes were crispy and seasoned perfectly. One of the eggs had a slightly runny white, but the rest of the dish more than made up for it. My coworker had the Pasta with Butternut Squash and Brown Butter Sage Cream Sauce, and it looked amazing. The pasta was hand-cut and fresh, the sauce had that perfect mix of buttery and earthy, and the frizzled Brussels sprouts added a nice crunch. The grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful, and he said it was the best he has ever had. Gourmandise really left an impression. The food, the presentation, and the atmosphere all came together perfectly. It is definitely a come back spot.

7 months ago MKB- why does he think this place is on the list?

We love this restaurant! Delicious and fresh French food that’s casual. The pastry case is a formidable force of awesomeness and artistry with flower and sugar. So delightful! The salads are especially crisp and fresh. Yum! Maddox took care of us and we had an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

2 months ago Nathaniel Freeexplained best how he liked it:

Tried this new pastry today. Two pillowy brioche orbs, drenched in ripe peach syrup until they glisten, pressed close together in a soft, sugared embrace. Each one yields easily under the slightest touch, releasing a slow, fragrant sweetness. Inside, a silky mascarpone crémeux waits, rich and velvety, oozing just beneath the surface. A dusting of sugar clings to their golden skin, sparkling like a whispered promise. Delicate marzipan leaves curl against the warm pastry, while a slender stem of candied orange rises from the center, a teasing, citrus-bright flourish that completes this irresistibly decadent little moment. 🍑

3 months ago RanDee Nye: it is necessary to add to this place:

Tiramisu and peach mule was excellent. Amazing service even though it was a full house. Not really the vibe to sit and enjoy a meal since it sounds like a rushing mall with the loud cooking, kid screams, and so many conversations going with echos. I would go back but just to walk in and grab dessert and leave. Total bill 85$. One Peach mule, two lavender mimosas, chile parmesan rigatoni, Monte Cristo, grilled cheese w/carrot curry soup. One tiramisu. Thursday nov 20th 2025 at noon. FYI only serve each specific menu during specific time of day. We had lunch menu and beer menu available at noon.

4 months ago Nicole Mujicawrote only this about this place:

I’ve been coming here over the years may times to try the pastries and to get birthday cakes for my family. This time my boyfriend invited me to have dinner because I’ve always said the food looks really good and we wanted to try something new. The food was amazing and our server was very friendly and gave us an amazing service, but when we went to look at the pastries we turned around and our table had been cleaned including our drinks, we didn’t mind it we just sat again and ate the pastries. We then got up again, leaving on the table a box of pastries so it wouldn’t get cleaned again, and got pastries for our family they had given our table to two other people, and the restaurant wasn’t even full there were around 7 open tables including the one next to ours. I asked the hostess that was seating the people at the table if she knew where our box of pastries was and she just looked at me confused, didn’t even apologize for taking our table while we haven’t even paid. Another server heard us and gave me the box. When we went to pay for everything the pastries were supposed to be BOGO, but when I looked at the receipt I noticed they had charged us the full amount, we weren’t bothered we just went back to get it fixed. I talked to the hostess again explaining the situation, she just looked at me weird and talked to the person beside her saying that we wanted to get some free things, I explained again the situation and this time they went to who I assume is the manager and she fixed it. Our server was great and the food was great, but for the price of the food and the type of establishment we expected better service from everyone else and for the workers to be more coordinated and not take our stuff off the table, we didn’t see anyone else that that happened to. We would come back for the food but order takeout, the experience didn’t match the price.

8. place gets The Cheesecake Factory

The Cheesecake Factory

What our travelers says:

2 months ago Paul Cuthbertwhat can I say about this place?

The Cheesecake Factory offers a wide variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts for all tastes and appetites. They also offer a children's menu. The atmosphere is relaxed and family friendly. Unfortunately, the Cheesecake Factory does not take reservations and the restaurant is always busy for lunch and dinner. I visited on a weekendso the restaurant was very crowded. People waiting for a table fill the lobby and the sidewalk outside. The Cheesecake Factory is very popular on Friday nights and there is a long wait to get a table. At 6:20 PM the wait was 1.5 hours so I opted to sit at the bar and waited about 10 minutes for a seat. You can order food at the bar as well as drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I like the Shepard's pie at the Cheesecake Factory as an entree. For dessert I recommend the caramel pecan turtle cheesecake. We celebrated my wife's birthday and she had the tiramisu cheesecake... very decadent and delicious.

2 months ago Rachel Womackdescribed this experience as follows:

There was no wait at 5pm on a Monday, we got sat immediately. We got the Lemon Meringue cheesecake and the Red Velvet cheesecake. They were both delicious. The red velvet may have not had enough red velvet flavor, but the cream cheese frosting and cheesecake was absolutely divine. The lemon meringue was light and so yummy. I would say the music is so bloody loud also. But you can still talk lol.

4 months ago Erin Bakerexplained best how he liked it:

I’ve always been hesitant to eat here since there are so many menu options (like SO many) and I get easily overwhelmed. But it was perfect for my group of 6 women (two of whom are pregnant with cravings) with a huge variety of food preferences. I got the Bacon Bacon burger with fries (delightful!) and it was so so good. Very saucy and not spicy and wonderfully flavorful. There were two crispy pieces of bacon and two pieces of thick smoked bacon. Two pieces of cheese and an herby garlic aioli added a creaminess that balanced the amount of meat on the sandwich. The fries were good. Nothing spectacular, but still delicious. Cheesecake was good and good to have as an experience, but I don’t think I’d order cheesecake here again since it’s so stinking expensive and didn’t totally blow me away (though the lemon raspberry was my favorite that we tried).

3 months ago Michael Piper: it is necessary to add to this place:

The first time I ever went to a Cheesecake Factory was back in Oct with the wife in Las Vegas. We had a great time there. Just like in Vegas, we had a great time at the City Creek location here in downtown SLC. Food was great! I had the Southern Fried while my wife went for the Carne Asada Steak. Both dishes were great. For drinks we had a Pineapple Cherry Limeade (mine) and a Sangria (wife’s). Both were great. We finished with a Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake which was also great and delicious. About the only issue was a lady next to us who had a non service animal dog with her but management talked to her promptly in which she eventually left. Otherwise, all good! Server was busy but still found time to get our dessert and drinks.

Ordered the Thai Chicken Wraps Appetizer as my meal since I am on a strict calorie intake diet. It was super yummy! I really liked the sauces it came with but keep in mind the soy one is not GF and the chicken is also cooked in soy. I believe you can request it to be GF if you wish. I never look at the menu but always order off the Skinnylicious or appetizers and that helps me eat healthier. I also had the Skinnylicious cheesecake with strawberries. It is GF and pretty creamy. The strawberries were on the skimpy side but otherwise it was great and I was able to walk out of there not feeling like I had overeaten.

4 months ago Bella Angelinawhat can I say about this place?

Such a beautiful night to stop by at this beautiful 🔥 lit place. We were lucky 🍀 to have found it. Well, my husband did of course🥰. This was actually our first time ever seeing or been to and it was a very busy night on a Halloween 🎃 Friday. As we are stopped by the nice lady at the front of the Restaurant. We were asked for our 🆔 or we couldn’t come inside. Rules are rules. I liked that very much. Keeping it safe and keeping the place from losing their licenses to me that was a good sign. The workers greeted us as they waved…, it truly shows you that they were happy 😃 to be there so the food has to be good 😊 right? I thought the bar was cool 😎 oh, they were also raffling prizes so we purchased some tickets 🎟️ and join in the fun 🤩 . Sabastian was our waiter for the evening and he was a delightful guy who helped us on our orders. It was our First time there so we needed guidance on what’s popular to eat. Burgers! 🍔 lol 😂. The waiters/ waitresses to the bartenders were hustling and bustling as they make the customers drinks and servings their meals. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. However, I did see saw a lot of people of all walks of life just enjoying themselves. It didn’t matter who you were or what you do. I used to ride Harley 07’ Deluxe black and white, fully dressed for 20 years. So it brought good vibes and a lot of good 😌memories. As our appetizers came out it looked tasty and delicious 😋 and followed by the burgers and fries. We munched on them burgers and it was delicious 😋. These two appetizers were so good 😊 fried pickles and jalapeños wrapped in bacons are my favorite 😍 appetizers. All in all, what matters more are the two guys that love their burgers and fries they loved it so much they want to come back for more as well as for me too. There shall be more date nights for sure! 👍

3 months ago Anonymousevaluates this place as follows:

I think atmosphere is very interesting style. I did like the feeling in western time. Their waitress and hostess were awesome and friendly. I did appreciate hostess to get silverware and other item I needs. It interesting they ask for your ID card when I enter the restaurant. Food was excellent but fries were alittle too much seasonal. I couldn’t believe how big lemonade drink was. It was totally worth it.

4 months ago Packing For Adventurewrote only this for this place:

Having never been here, I tried the regular cheeseburger but added a side of barbecue sauce so I could try it both ways. It’s hard to say if I liked it better with or without the barbecue sauce, both were good! I paid extra for a side of Mac n cheese, and it’s not worth paying extra for. But the burger was pretty gosh darn good. My husband has been here a few times, so this time he opted for a Buffalo chicken sandwich and he was pretty happy about it. I don’t eat burgers often enough to have much of an opinion (thanks to my pizza-obsessed husband) but it was definitely one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, so it’s easy to see why they are famous. Also my husband got the peach lemonade and it was a very large portion, you get your moneys worth for sure. All in all a great experience and I would dare say pretty reasonably priced.

5 months ago Zach’s Stuffevaluates this place as follows:

Word of mouth brought us here. Parking lot is very small, and surrounding areas were hard to find a space to park. Food was good and drinks are served in large mugs to ensure proper hydration. Staff was attentive and friendly! This bar/grill has the sports bar vibe and inside can get loud. The outdoor seating is good but gravel parking lot is tiny.

3 months ago Ashley Damexplained best how he liked it:

Loved my ring of fire burger! The regular fries left something to be desired, but the service was super kind and friendly. My partner got the pastrami burger and garlic rosemary fries which were both super tasty. Great vibes — love me a local punk burger dive bar!

No words can describe the amazing service from this hotel. Check In was easy and fast! The room service food was so good, I did not even leave to go and eat anywhere else. I have never had room service food taste as good as a restaurant made it. It came fresh and hot and the staff were friendly and fixed any issues promptly that could have arised. The hotel was very kid-friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable for our family. The restaurants and lounges were excellent, and every detail felt intentional and special. Always a delicious meal here. I absolutely love the mole, especially Amarillo, Negro, and Coloradito. Supremely tasty. Service is usually good, but the restaurant is always busy, so service can get sketchy. I come here every time I'm near Salt Lake City and I've never been disappointed.

1 month ago Stephen Weaver- why does he think this place is on the list?

Eating at Red Iguana 2 is dangerous because you will never want to eat Mexican food anywhere else again. The service is top notch. The food is world class. Your mexican best friend's abuela doesn't make mole this good. Your water glass is never empty. They dont ask if you want more salsa, they just bring it over because of course you want more salsa, its a given.

2 months ago Christopher Waltonwhat can I say about this place?

This is my second time coming to Red Iguana 2. Both times I left it up to the waiter and waitress to give me guidance on what to order since everything looked awesome on the menu. First time I had a mole that was awesome but I sadly forgot exactly what it was. This time it was the quesadilla which was pretty much an open ended burrito. It was amazing and the salsa they had was addictingly delicious and spicy. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Definitely coming here again. If you come here unsure of what to get, trust the staff and see what they smile about with their recommendations. The bigger the smile, the more they like it. Highly recommend.

Looked up best restaurants in SLC and this was number one on a lot of websites. We went on a Saturday evening and there was a wait for a seat. It was short though, about 10 minutes. The host is outside the restaurant so you’ll check in with them and then wait outside to be called in. The food was amazing. The queso dip was some of the best. I had the king prawns and they were extremely filling! I couldn’t finish it all in a sitting. Their famous mole was also delicious. Our waiter was super fast and friendly. For such a busy restaurant the food came out in record time. Our appetizer came out in 10 minutes and the food about 3 minutes after that. The food was amazing. No wonder this place is crowded 24/7. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for Mexican food in SLC.

I recently discovered this wonderful Mexican restaurant in Utah, and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by incredibly nice and polite staff who made me feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious - authentic flavors that transport you straight to Mexico. But what really impressed me was the pricing - it’s incredibly reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you receive. In today’s economy, finding great food at awesome prices feels like striking gold! The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the staff’s genuine warmth added so much to the dining experience. Whether you’re craving tacos, enchiladas, or any classic Mexican dish, this place delivers. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Red Iguana, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was cooked to perfection — flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. I was able to finish my entire plate, which is always a good sign of quality and portion size. What truly set this visit apart, however, was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Our waiter was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to thoroughly explain the menu, ensuring we knew exactly what we were ordering. At no point was there a moment when our drinks or chips weren’t replenished — everything was consistently on point. Every time we needed anything, the staff responded promptly and courteously, making us feel valued and well taken care of throughout the meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming and comfortable, perfectly complementing the outstanding food and service. Every detail, from the presentation of the dishes to the attentiveness of the team, contributed to a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. Overall, Red Iguana exceeded all expectations. For anyone looking for amazing Mexican cuisine paired with top-notch service, this is an absolute must-visit. Five stars without hesitation — a truly exceptional restaurant that I highly recommend.

We took a group of 8 people here and had an awesome dinner experience. From the moment we sat down, the energy was lively and welcoming — perfect for a big group night out. The concept of continuous cuts of meat brought right to the table by the gaucho servers made it feel like a Brazilian feast, and everyone in our group loved trying different types — from juicy beef and savory pork to perfectly seasoned chicken and even grilled pineapple. The meat was hot, flavorful, and kept coming as long as we wanted more, which is exactly what you want when you’re dining with friends and family. This is definitely a top notch Brazilian Steak House with all the salad bar items you would expect like hearts of palm, yucca roles, asparagus, and much much more. The pineapple and coconut cole slaw was my favorite raw item. The skewers of meat that kept coming and coming were absolutely delicious. Fairly priced and would definitely recommend!

… a feast for my eyes and stomach LOL 😂 My family and I, are frequent patrons of this restaurant. We’ve celebrated many family milestones here, making this a cherished tradition. Last night was a birthday dinner celebration, in honor of my husband. The salad bar was a sight to behold; a vibrant display of fresh greens, colorful vegetables, and delicious unique salads. However, the real star of the show were the meats. The “gauchos” were always on the move, carving different cuts of meat right at our table. The meats were perfectly cooked, juicy, and seasoned beautifully. Great variety from steaks, beef rib, pork belly, chicken, sausages, and lamb chops. Our primary waitress, Odalis was exceptional throughout, always attentive, but never intrusive. Odalis, always made sure our water glasses and specialty limeade drinks were full. Towards the end of our birthday dinner meal, our family was introduced to Mario. Odalis, had to leave us, but we were fortunate to have Mario step in to assist us. Mario was very attentive and he even took the time to chat with us. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience. The combination of the exceptional food, the fun, interaction service, and the lively atmosphere, made it a memorable night. While it may not be a daily option due to the price, it’s a place I would definitely recommend for a special occasion, or a fun night celebration, with family. ❤️❤️

Some of the best Indian food in Utah so far. This place is rated as one of the top restaurants in Utah as well. Started off with the chicken pakora appetizer which was delicious. We had the butter chicken and it was so flavorful and tender. Super filling as well! The garlic naan was fresh with a crispy outside and doughy center. The waiters are super fast and the food came out within minutes. We went on a Saturday around 3pm and there was no wait at all. Super empty and quiet. We will definitely be returning to this place. We loved the food here and want to try more items on the menu.

Mumbai House is the absolute best Indian food in Salt Lake City, Utah, look no further. The food alone speaks for itself, however, if you have the opportunity to dine in the atmosphere is very relaxed, romantic and beautifully decorated. The staff are always friendly and tentative. The food is flavorful and bold, the consistency is always on par and never disappointing. I always get the Paneer Makhani, it’s so silky and cravable, the texture and flavor doesn’t compare to any other. I always try something new each time I visit. Tonight I tried the Shahi Daal, the urad (black) lentils were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Some of the other dishes I recommend are vegetable samosas, malai kofta, paneer saag, aloo gobi and vegetable masala.

Hyta was an excellent server! 2 mango drinks amazing. Sorry no pic on the app, but enjoyed the combo of all 3. The 2 vegetarian dishes we split we good to the last bite! This was my 2nd time here, won't be my last, so many great options to choose.

This was our first time in Salt Lake City. Seeing this highest rated Indian Restaurant was amazing and we absolutely had to check it out. Honestly, it lived up to its expectation. We ordered: 1. Tandoori Shrimp: 10/10 with a very interesting presentation on a hot plate with tandoori onions and capsicum. Delicious along with the mint chutney and butter rotis. 2. Mumbai Masala: Not quite sure on the spice levels here, We ordered the medium but I am sure we would have enjoyed a higher spice level. With tender chicken pieces and a flavourful gravy, this was neither too oily nor too hot. It was very well balanced and went well with both - the rice and roti. (8/10) 3. Mango Lassi: As good as it can get without real alphonso mangoes of the season. A good blend of tang and sweetness. It paired very well with the food. (8/10) 4. Desert - The Pistachio Kulfi was too sweet and very intense. We were not ready for that and did not finish it. For us, it was a 2/10 but I guess it is could be made for the American taste. A suggestion for the management: Indian restaurants are notoriously criticized for smelly and unkempt restrooms. I am sorry to point out that the men's restroom could use a lot more attention to cleanliness, hygiene and odor.

This is my first experience trying Indian food and I'm so glad this was the place I picked. Friendly environment, even though I had a take out order. The food was great, wonderful temperature for the cold weather. The heat of the curry was perfect to warm me up. Highly recommend.
