What our travelers says:

2 months ago MJ Tiodescribed this experience as follows:

Had a great meal at The Cheesecake Factory in Union Square. The food was solid as always - generous portions and reliable favourites. We had sliders with salad, some crispy starters, and finished with cheesecake (both the chocolate and classic were delicious). What really made the experience special was the view overlooking Union Square and the ice skating rink, especially in the evening when everything is lit up. Comfortable space, friendly service, and a great spot to unwind after shopping or sightseeing. Definitely one of the best spots in San Francisco. Would happily come back.❤️

4 months ago Jenny Xuwhat can I say about this place?

Came here with some friends and went to the balcony for the nice views! Good: - The place is a lot fancier and upscale than expected for a big chain - I liked that there were healthier options marked and calories were clearly marked - The healthy chicken pasta was good! A bit bland but good still - The healthy no sugar strawberry cheesecake was still tasty! Bad: - Took a while to get seated though there were plentiful empty seats - The food was okay, but mostly we liked the ambiance - No sun umbrellas so we got pretty hot Overall this was such a bucket list item to try and do just once, wouldn't come again since there's better food elsewhere

6 months ago Gail Carberrysaid the following about this gem:

So many wonderful selection of food! Service was superb too. We had a window on the world view on a brilliant noon time San Francisco. My hubby had the Thai Chicken salad and I had the Shepherd’s Pie. His salad was so scrumptious and the chicken tender. My shepherds pie was one of the best I ever had including the UK! For dessert we had the apple crumble which was the perfect ending to a very satisfying lunch. And they make the best tropical iced tea.

7 months ago Zanderdescribed this experience as follows:

I had a great experience at The Cheesecake Factory. The food was delicious—I ordered the Chicken Parmesan “Pizza Style,” and I’d definitely recommend it. The portion was generous, the flavors were spot on, and it really stood out compared to other dishes I’ve tried elsewhere. The service was also excellent—my drinks were always refilled right when needed, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout. I sat outside, which was nice, but the sun got pretty intense on my back, so next time I’d choose inside seating. The interior has a nice vibe, making it a comfortable spot overall.

4 months ago Mama B: it is necessary to add to this place:

We went there on Thursday evening right after work. It was not crowded at all. They have inside or outside. The outside has a nice neon view (we were seated inside due to the weather). The service was great and quick, and the food was delicious as always!

The Stinking Rose
Definitely deserves 8.4/10!. This place was visited and rated 4505-times

What our travelers says:

2 months ago Tummy Maxsaid the following about this gem:

The service wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t good either, just average and unmemorable. Unfortunately, the food and pricing were where things really fell apart. The steak was priced at USD 50 and, while the portion was decent enough to share, it still didn’t justify the cost. The ribs at USD 35 were a major letdown, with a portion so small it felt overpriced from the moment it arrived. The fettuccine at USD 25 came in a tiny serving, honestly more suitable for a child than an adult. The worst value by far was the seafood combo at USD 70. For that price, we received only a few prawns, some clams, and half a crab....yes, just half a crab. Completely ridiculous for the price point. I understand paying more for good food and a good experience. But when a group of 10 people walks out spending USD 520 and feels totally unsatisfied, something is seriously wrong. Overall, extremely poor value for money and not a place I would recommend.

It was a cold night. We started walking, looking for Italian restaurant and we saw this ambiance and warm air coming from the heat lamp on the sidewalk and it had this little cozy table with color pictures on it. So we sat down and ordered food and drinks & Carlos was our waiter, who was super nice and we had some great dinner!....Lots of garlic.... couldn't go wrong. It was such a romantic evening on the sidewalk in the middle of winter in San Francisco.... gotta to check it out!

4 months ago Jean Arellanowhat can I say about this place?

My wife and I honeymooned in San Francisco last year for a couple of days. Although we ate at a lot of different places, The Stinking Rose was our favorite place. Not only was the food better than even the most upscale restaurants we tried the service was better too. I had the "sizzling garlic prime ribeye stake" and my wife got the sea bass. Both were incredible. High quality, flavorful and cooked perfectly. Jose was our waiter and he is a great at his job. Very attentive and pleasant to be around. The Stinking Rose made such a lasting impression, that this year when came back to celebrate our anniversary, we came back with our whole family to dine here again. My wife and I ordered the same thing and it was just like we remembered. We were happy to see that things haven't changed here much. This place is still exceptional. And Jose even came by to see if we needed anything and got a chance to catch up after our meal. This place is a true gem in San Francisco.

The Stinking Rose is such a fun place to go in San Francisco! Especially if you love garlic. They offer some non-garlic options as well. I am a garlic fanatic, and this was my second time here. We had Bagna Calda, 40 clove chicken and Count Vladimir's Sizzling Garlic Prime Ribeye Stake. For dessert, we decided to try the garlic ice cream and I'm glad we did! I wouldn't eat it everyday, but it was very fun to try. If you're looking for a novelty in a fun atmosphere, this is the place!

This place is really talked about, and I can see why. It's pricy, but if you really like garlic, you should really give it a shot. It's a fun place with great food. Get the garlic in the oil bath!

What our travelers says:

2 months ago Rocio Barraza: it is necessary to add to this place:

I was brought to John’s Grill for a nice birthday dinner. I had a dirty vodka martini, the escargot and a rib eye steak. I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful my experience was. The staff was so friendly and sweet and the food OmG. The martini was full to the rim and delicious I sipped all night. The escargot was delectable with such a delicious sauce I’ll be back for more. And the steak medium rare perfect especially with the horse radish I must say was the perfect combination and the kick was epic. I also had the cream and berries for dessert and the hostess sang happy birthday to me. Everything was so perfect I nearly cried. It’s a special place to make someone you love feel special. ❤️

3 months ago Lucky Mhow did he rate it?

Bar service was super slow. Around 7ish, you really have to stay on top of your order because it felt like they’d ignore you unless you make yourself heard. It also seemed wildly understaffed—there were only two bartenders handling what looked like at least 20+ tables downstairs, and that’s not even counting upstairs, so the delays kind of made sense (but still not great as a guest). I ordered an Old Fashioned and it honestly wasn’t good. It was packed with way too much ice, like overly full of ice cubes instead of the traditional single large cube. The build felt off too—simple syrup instead of the more classic muddled/crushed sugar cube, and it didn’t taste balanced. They used only Angostura aromatic bitters (no orange bitters), and there was no expressed orange peel—they literally just dropped in a slice of orange… lol. Our wait time was about 1 hour. That said, the ambiance was the best part of the whole experience. The place was packed, but in a way that felt cozy, lively, and inviting at the same time. It was loud and energetic, and I can see why people like it for the vibe. The food was bland, honestly like they forgot the salt. My filet mignon was cooked exactly how I asked—perfect medium rare—but the flavor just wasn’t there. No real seasoning, no char, just flat. Same with the other steaks we ordered: cooked right, but not tasteful and lacking flavor. The poke was the only thing that actually had flavor, and it stood out because everything else tasted so plain. For the price and the wait, I don’t think we’ll come back. The atmosphere was great, but it’s a shame the bar service and food didn’t match it.

6 months ago matthew w- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

During our visit to San Francisco we decided to head to John's Grill for dinner, and despite not having a reservation we were warmly welcomed by the hostess. She kindly offered us a lovely table in the upstairs dining area, which turned out to be a great spot as the downstairs area was already full and buzzing with activity. The added bonus of sitting upstairs was being able to enjoy live music from a talented chap playing during our meal, which added a really nice touch to the evening. Our server, Dana, greeted us with a smile and quickly took our drinks orders before giving us plenty of time to browse the menu and make our selections. Steak was naturally the focus for us, with the fillet and the strip being our choices for the evening. Whilst we waited for our mains, we were served some warm, fresh bread which was a lovely start and very much appreciated. After a reasonable wait our main courses arrived and both steaks were cooked well and very enjoyable. When offered the dessert menu we decided to pass, as nothing really caught our eye and to be fair, the mains were more than enough to leave us feeling full. Overall, we had a really lovely time at John's Grill. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, the service from Dana was great and the food was satisfying. It is definitely a place worth visiting when in San Francisco for a classic steakhouse experience.

3 months ago Karl Whinneryevaluates this place as follows:

John’s grill is a lovely dining experience. The staff are amazing. The atmosphere and vibe are on point. My rib eye was thinner than expected, but tender and delicious. My wife had the salmon and enjoyed it.

5 months ago KR AZsaid the following about this gem:

Stopped in for lunch while in the city recently. It is a long time restaurant and gathering place for politicians and celebs. The lunch menu was somewhat limited as far as sandwiches, burgers, etc. The service was very good and attentive. However the burger I ordered was very well done and dry. There was no sauce or anything on the bun which was very bready compared to the burger. I had to ask for some mayo and ketchup to go with it. The fries were seasoned well and hot and crispy. The clam chowder which we split was good. The chicken sandwich was a thin piece of flattened that was crispy but on the thinner side for a huge bun. All in all it was disappointing.

2 months ago Ridzuan Adli A Kadirwhat can I say about this place?

Franciscan Restaurant at Fisherman’s Wharf is a fantastic dining experience. The staff were super helpful, respectful, and genuinely friendly, taking the time to explain the menu and recommend excellent dishes. The branzino was very fresh, and the pasta was outstanding — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and offers plenty of seating with a beautiful view, making the atmosphere even more enjoyable. A special mention to the manager, who was extremely kind and considerate in accommodating our request for a quiet, unoccupied seating area so we could perform our prayers while waiting for our food. Truly thoughtful hospitality. Definitely will return again. Highly recommended!

A good restaurant with spectacular views to the ocean from almost every table. We spent New Year's Eve there and the service from Uriel was great. Food was good (crab cocktail is a must). The Merlot signature wine of the house was fine. Very fair prices

You walk up the stairs, you see so many people left and right. It's a massive size dining room. Very busy but still the food was super hot and the service was stellar! Our waiter's name was Saul and he was very attentive & kind. You can't go wrong. The crab was baked with garlic butter and grilled on iron PAN. It was awesome!..... tasted so good, definitely going back again!

2 months ago Robert Cheethamsaid the following about this gem:

We went at a peak time and there was almost no wait to be seated (by the window, altough it was dark, still nice). Not too much of a wait for drinks and bit longervto order food. The food arrived quickly (they were busy today and ran out of bread). The actual food was really good, I has the sea bass with white wine and capers sauce - excellent! Elaine the Dungeness crab enchiladas and very surprised at just how good it was. The bill was $110 plus tip. Service was so so

2 months ago Jocelyn Brookswhat can I say about this place?

My wife and I made last minute NYE reservations. We were extremely happy that they had availability when we booked the day before this momentus occasion. We never been here before so we were very excited to try it. We love Crab House and Fog Harbor, so we were familiar with the type of menu that had here. However, we wanted a fancier feeling and we got it. The restaurant is hugh and beautiful. We loved looking at the pictures as you come up and down the stairs, we love the "old school" feeling that it gave with every intricate detail. Thank you to the male host of the night who ensured that my wife and I got a booth. He was an older gentleman that was very very polite. We appreciated it. We were seated under 10 mins from our reservation time. Our server greeted us immediately, but he seemed a little impatient. We decided to be understanding towards him at that time because it was a busy night. We ordered our drinks from the drink menu (Blueberry lemon drop and a mojito) appetizers (Bread and cesear salad to share) and entree (Whole crab, mussels and shrimp platter) all at the same time. Our appetizer came out and honestly I was disappointed because we paid $17.99 for the large and it did not even cover the entire plate. I felt we were a little ripped off. Our entrees literally came out like 5 mins after the appetizer. The problem with that is that it came out like less than 10 mins of ordering it. Honestly, i don't think it was made at the time of ordering. I think it was already sitting. Neither the person that brought it nor our waiter poured the special garlic sauce over it like we saw other tables receive. That was disappointing. Our food was a little cold, but we didn't bother to say anything because it was a busy night. So we just ate it. Our drinks did not come until we were already halfway into our entrees. It took over 20 mins for them to come. My wife's drink was messed up and unfortunately the waiter did not return immediately for us to let him know. However, when he finally did, she let him know that it was missing the Blueberries and the red liquid at the bottom. She showed him the picture because it looked nothing like it. He went to get it remade. However, we do not believe that it was remade because the red liquid was sitting at the top of the drink. He informed her that it was bitters, but honesty.. that did not look like what was in the picture. It looked horrible and it tasted horrible. However, she could not immediately tell him that because he left out table and took a little minute to return. She ordered a blue drink instead. We completed just about all of our meal and she still did not get her drink. He finally returned to ask her if she so wanted it. That was crazy...of course she did. It then came and he apologized like twice. I was a bit annoyed because I felt like we were rushed out food and then lack of care for our drinks afterwards. I even said something to him about her drink and his excuse was the bartender is busy. That's not good enough though. I do not believe or waiter took the time out to ensure that we received our drinks in a timely fashion. My wife had the mango sundae for dessert and she said it was pretty decent. However, it looked a hot mess when it was brought. Cream was all down the side of the glass and the whip cream looked flat at the top. It looked lik it was already melting. Also, it did not even have much mango (Although the picture looks like it did, it was seriously not worth $12.99). Overall, I feel that we were somewhat robbed of top notch service and hot food. The restaurant is not super expensive, but i did expect so much more attentiveness, hot food, timeliness of drinks and a waiter that just acted like he cared. I feel that he lacked customer service.. maybe because he was overwhelmed.. but I still need to put what I felt in my review.

Burrito stuffed with goodness! The meat was hella good, and the balance between meat and everything else was legit. Not a very long line or wait, but for a burrito on Mission, I recommend this joint. There are only a few places like this that are worth the drive from San Jose, and it’s always a tasty treat. Orale!

4 months ago Jeffrey Leongsaid the following about this gem:

Old school taqueria next to BART station at 25th street and Mission. Walk inside along the plexiglass covered kitchen to view the menu posted on the wall. Full menu of classic taqueria fare: burritos, tacos, plates and more. Cashier takes your order efficiently in a friendly tone. Choice of tortillas, beans and salsas. The kitchen cranks out the orders assembly line quick. Tired interior, but outside dining in the back. Maybe not a place to impress a first date. The food is the attraction: affordable and excellent quality.

CASH ONLY! While in SF we had to get a mission burrito from the mission district! They are cash only. We each got the carnitas supreme burrito with rice, beans, sour cream and guacamole. Limited seating inside but we were able to secure a seat. We waited about 5 min for our meals to be cooked. The burritos were massive and lasted me about 3 meals. I think it even tasted better left over! Great place to come.

One of the best Mexican spots in the city. They have the best burritos 🌯 🔥 my personal favorite is their Chile relleno burrito. My kiddo loves their asada and shrimp super burrito 🤤 if you're in the city and craving some some authentic Mexican food, make your here for some good food 😋

Quesadilla was nice. I like them more cheesy though. Carnita taco filling was good but the tortilla wasn't so great. Big portions, fun vibe. Took a long time to order. Also a bit of a sketchy neighborhood at night.

Echo all the great reviews here. Quick service at 10:00 am on a Saturday morning. Pork belly grits were delicious. Nice and hot. Great crisp on the pork. Lots of good cheese and poached egg too. Spicy onion jam was really good. Croque Monsieur and slaw was good. Got the 3 way (plain, apple, chocolate) beignets. My fave was the plain, just because I like a pure beignet, but the chocolate and apple were also good. Good place to go!

3 months ago Jamie Harris- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

We had a wonderful breakfast here. The staff was friendly, warm, and on top of everything. Water service was great and I appreciated that they offered half orders for several items. The Bananas Foster French toast was amazing, rich without being too sweet. The andouille sausage was fantastic and full of flavor, and the strawberry jam was truly heavenly. I also had an iced Grandma’s Coffee with black walnut and whipped cream, which was delicious and felt like such a fun treat. We ordered the beignets too. They were a little dense, but the flavor was still very good. Overall, a great breakfast spot with excellent service and food that really stands out. I would definitely go back.

3 months ago Sovereignevaluates this place as follows:

Favorite breakfast and brunch in San Francisco, it's popular for good reasons! My favorite spot everytime I come back stateside, it's the breakfast that gives me life after a 12 hour flight. It's a classic, and it stayed the same throughout the years. Service is nice, place is lovely. The area around is not the safest but it's safe inside. Food is awesome, their homemade watermelon sweet tea is my liquid IV. The beignets are delicious, the grits are buttery, the meat is tender and juicy. Their specials are always worth trying! They also have breakfast sandwiches that are cheap ($5-$6) and good to go, after 10 you get a free sando! The place used to be packed every morning, now it's a little more sparse, things seem to have changed through the pandemic.

2 months ago Mark Liuwhat can I say about this place?

We ordered the messy mess. The fried chicken was excellent. The buns was nice and sweet and buttery. We added a potatoe hash and bignet for $1.99 each. The hash was a big mistake. Doesn't taste much of anything. I had to add hot sauce which wasn't as good as Tabasco and pepper still couldn't flavor it up. The bignet was excellent! Plain bignet is the best. I remember the one with fillings was too sweet.

4 months ago AL Cobb: it is necessary to add to this place:

Honestly this place is perfect. I feel like it’s just the right size and that they’ve truly perfected the service speed, style, portions and recipes. I’d almost not want to see them expand it because they do it so well currently. You know how like when you double a recipe sometimes it doesn’t come out quite right (or that could be just me 🤣). Anyways I got the sampler platter which looking back at the menu looks more like it could’ve been the daily special and not always on the menu. The greens were good solid greens like just classic that you could eat continuously. The red beans and rice were definitely a hit my mom and aunt both make them like that. The gumbo is the most authentic gumbo I’ve had outside of my uncles. What do I mean by that? Normally if it has not been made by my uncle (from a line of Prudhommes out of Louisiana I think) the gumbos on the menus I’ve had are usually just a pretty good soup. Theres always something just off about them but this gumbo was heart warming and I could only imagine what the deluxe version tastes like. If I had more time here I would’ve tried it! My husband had the catfish de allemands and I think he said something along the lines of my God almighty when he tried it haha 😂. Safe to say he loved it. It was pretty good. Honestly we were both thrown off by the pecans in the rice but they were good but I’d never have them anywhere else. Only at Brenda’s now can you pecans in my rice I guess. Ok let’s talk about the pillow soft hot beignet that I will dream about as we make our way back to the east coast. Wow it was probably the best no I’m sure thee absolute best one I’ve ever had. I think that’s what princess Tiana’s must have been based off of for sure because they truly were amazing. Overall the staff was friendly and efficient. They were not playing no games with us. If the came over and we weren’t ready they weren’t wasting no time. They quickly said “we’ll give you a few more minutes” and I appreciated that because they were just so many good things to bounce between hence why I got a sampler. But again we didn’t feel rushed or pushed off or like anyone was rude. Everything was efficient well done and felt like a well oiled machine. I hope to make it back one day!

What our travelers says:

2 months ago Wei Wangdescribed this experience as follows:

Bread, butter, the salad, and the sides (creamy spinach, mashed potatoes, and baked potatoes) were all delicious. Only the steak was disappointing: the first five bites tasted the same (very chewy), but by the sixth and seventh bites, it turned into a completely different texture — like a lump of dead dough. The drink and alcohol prices were surprisingly considerate. A bottle of Opus One that sells for around 500 in retail stores is priced here at only $500–$680 depending on the vintage, and Coke comes with unlimited refills. #food #Restaurant

4 months ago Chai Aexplained best how he liked it:

I dined alone this evening but had the good fortune of meeting some wonderful locals as we all sat at the bar together enjoying our meals. It made for a really enjoyable experience. What struck me about House of Prime Rib was how that entire place seems to operate like a fine tuned machine. It’s like a bustling beehive of activity with servers, bussers and the rest of the team dashing around the dining room. I’ll never understand how Shar, who is the bartender, can take multiple orders, write down your name on the waiting list, eventually seat you, make numerous cocktails and serve plates of meat while at the same time remembering your name. Truly impressive and the kind of old school service I appreciate. And I haven’t even mentioned the food which was excellent. Had to go with the King Henry VIII cut and I finished that along with the bonus portion you get for finishing it. The flavor was spot on but the tenderness and texture is what really sets it apart. Also that creamed spinach is as good as everyone says it is. As a Prime Rib enthusiast, this place has been on my list for a long time and I am so glad to have finally made the pilgrimage and look forward to returning as soon as I can.

What our travelers says:

3 months ago Julio Garciaexplained best how he liked it:

I stayed at the Fairmont San Francisco during a recent trip, and it really does live up to its reputation. The hotel itself feels like a historic landmark, and walking into the lobby is almost like stepping into another era. Everything is polished, elegant, and very well kept. The staff greeted me right away, helped with bags, and made the check in process simple. It was clear they took pride in taking care of people. My room had a great view over the city, and the space felt comfortable and quiet. The bed was probably one of the best I have slept in during a hotel stay, and the bathroom had plenty of counter space and good lighting. Housekeeping kept everything spotless the entire time, and every request I made was handled quickly. Even something small like asking for extra towels felt like it mattered to them. The location on Nob Hill is also perfect if you want to explore. You can walk to a lot of places if you do not mind the hills, and it is easy to grab a cable car or rideshare when you want to get across town. I enjoyed the restaurants inside the hotel as well, especially for breakfast. The Fairmont is not the cheapest option in the city, but for a special trip or a visit where you want everything to feel a little elevated, it is definitely worth it. I would stay here again without hesitation.

3 months ago Bridget- why does he think this place is on the list?

Travelled from Melbourne , Australia to stay here for 2 nights 12th and 13th December. The hotel itself is visibly stunning! It felt so festive & lovely when we walked in. Unfortunately due to the level of popularity the Christmas display attracts - it’s makes it very difficult for hotel guests to walk around without disrupting photos being taken & bumping into families with children. Would recommend having select times for access. Check in process - not great - although the staff member was delightful, we were given poor directions resulting in quite a delay getting into our room when it was late. The room was lovely looking HOWEVER noticed the bathroom sink had green mildew in it. (The hole at the front). The hairdryer - likely from when the hotel was first constructed - for such a lovely hotel, would strongly recommend upgrading these for female guests - not to mention it being a fire hazard with so much dust built up on the filter. TV - very small for such a large room and difficult to see when you are in bed. Beds were very comfortable, lovely linen and toiletries were beautiful. We were really looking forward to enjoying a drink in the palm court restaurant , however after purchasing -was told we were unable to sit on the tables as they were being set up for “a full lunch service”. This left hotel guests no where to sit. Disappointing for paying guests, unable to use facilities freely due to it “being a popular time of year “.

Everyone was willing to help and serve on a level I rarely see in my travels. The festivities of the Holidays was also great to witness. The Fairmont did an amazing job with the decor and activities that were taking place within the lobby. I nothing negative to say. I am looking forward to my next stay.

A lot of San Francisco's charm is the array of restaurants and the neighborhoods they are in. Just look at the picture... Tony's pizza does not need my review, obviously. They have a firmly planted existence here and they are wholeheartedly deserving of all the praise and stellar reviews on their legendary pizza. My review is for all the professional servers. They were very attentive and efficient. Casual observation showed they all worked together seamlessly and enmeshed into the vibe of this buzzing room belonging to the most pleasing pizza. Much props to the Tony's team for an excellent experience!

Delicious, authentic, romantic, and delicious!! Went for dinner around 7:30 pm on a Thursday with my girlfriend and there was no wait for a table outside. The patio Christmas decor was so pretty and the ambiance of the place was so warm and welcoming. We couldn’t decide between the New Yorker, the Burratina, and the Porto; all award winning pizzas. The burratina is a thick crust pizza on the focaccia so we didn’t get that since it would’ve been a lot of food for us. We ordered the Porto. The crust was so thin and had the perfect balance between fluffy and soft. The ndjua was delicious on it but this pizza is more on the umami side of flavors. We wish we got one of the classic pizzas, but definitely coming back to try it out. We also got the Pasta Genovesa, which we lovedddd. The pesto was super rich and every ingredient in the dish was perfectly balanced. Fresh sundried tomatoes, artichokes, pine nuts, goat cheese. Honestly would come back just for that. We also got the Tirramisu for dessert! Absolutely must must get!

Came in on a rainy day and was immediately seated at the bar. I was greeted by Placito right away. He was very attentive and patient. (Heads up, you will be ordering A WHOLE pizza, this is not by-the-slice. That would be Slice House.) I ordered the Motorhead (Detroit), deep dish style. This is a rectangular pizza that has an amazing crispy, cheesy crust with a pillowy soft interior, which makes for the perfect bite everytime. Motorhead: $43.50 Red top w/pepperoni, salami, mushroom, smoked applewood bacon, sausage, ricotta, and basil.

The pizza tasted great, one with lots of vegetables and the other with pesto, we waited a long time for our turn and we entered towards the end... a young lady seated us outside where we waited a little longer for the waiter. First, one employee came to us who ignored us, and then another one came who was very kind. Then I realized that I was not in her area of work.... The price reflects the quality of the product..., clean... and I recommend trying the pizza at Toni's...

What our travelers says:

Visited December 16, 2025 Five stars without hesitation. We are heading out tomorrow on a 17 day cruise to Hawaii and flew into San Francisco a day early to settle in and enjoy the city. My original plan for lunch was Chinese food, but I opened my big mouth and told my kids a story from 2020. When we were in LA on our way to Hawaii back then, we stopped at In N Out. My husband and I thought our older daughter, who was not even two at the time, would share the burger with us. Instead she ate the entire thing herself and my husband had to go get another one. 😆 That story completely sealed our fate. My older daughter refused anything but In N Out, so from the Marriott Marquis where we are staying, we hopped on the cable car and rode all the way there. The place was absolutely packed, but the energy was great and the line moved efficiently. Despite how busy it was, the staff remained friendly, calm, and welcoming, and we were lucky enough to manage getting a table. A special shout out to Dino who was bussing tables. He was incredibly attentive and kind. He noticed our two little girls right away and surprised them with kids activity books, which completely made their day. He checked on us several times, brought extra napkins, and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. That level of genuine care really stood out. For the girls, we ordered two Double Doubles with just cheese, cheese fries, and chocolate milkshakes. For my husband and me, we ordered two Double Doubles with added chilies and grilled onions along with Animal Fries. We made our lemon up ourselves and it was so fresh and so good. Every single bite was delicious and absolutely worth the trip. The food was hot, fresh, and exactly as remembered, maybe even better. After eating, we took the cable car straight back to the hotel and everyone promptly passed out. Waking up at 1 am was no fun, but this experience was completely worth it and gave us such a fun family memory right before our cruise. The only small hiccup was entirely on us. We forgot hand sanitizer and the restaurant did not have any available. My six year old had basically touched everything on the cable car 😆 so my husband walked across the street to buy some and paid six dollars for a tiny bottle that would normally cost a dollar elsewhere. Oh well 😆😆 Overall, the food, the service, and the kindness of the staff made this an easy five star experience. Thank you to Dino and the entire team for such a memorable and welcoming visit. We loved every single moment and every bite.

Loved my first ever visit, specifically at their Fisherman's Wharf branch in San Francisco, CA. Although their menu was not very comprehensive, the food served were great-tasting and exceeded my expectations. The service crew were also very pleasant. One thing to note, though, is that it can be very packed at certain hours of the day and may be difficult to find seats. Overall, I highly recommend this place to those craving burgers and fries, and milkshake on the side.

3 months ago Omar- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Stopped by the In-N-Out at Pier 39 while visiting San Francisco. It was pretty packed, but the line moved along fairly quickly considering how busy it was. Took a little while to get my food, but honestly not bad for how many people were there. The food was, as always, solid—classic In-N-Out quality. Finding a seat took a bit, but once I did, I enjoyed my meal. Overall, a good experience and I’d definitely come back next time I’m in the area.

Coming from New England we had to see what the hype was all about. Was it good, yes. Was it great, sadly no. Maybe it was the busy location that brought the quality down, maybe. The double burger was good. The fries were cold. Would I go back, probably. I wouldn't flock to it purposely though.

It seems that in the great state of California, one cannot speak of cuisine without mentioning a fabled establishment In-N-Out Burger. My partner insisted it was an experience one must have, a culinary rite of passage, a sacred tradition. So, on a lazy afternoon, we decided to indulge this local enthusiasm. The place positively brimming with life, a bustling crowd united by their devotion to burgers and the faint scent of grilled promise. Clearly, this was no ordinary eatery; it was a cult favourite. I wouldn’t dare compare it to the gourmet creations of fine restaurants, where one must decipher menus and pay for artistic interpretation and to be honest that wouldn’t be a fair at all. For fast food, it was most commendable. The flavor was honest, the texture agreeable and it does sit in the upper level of fast food burger hierarchy. It was a charmingly sincere experience and I see the point my partner was trying to make.
