2 weeks ago Tommy Pasqualeexplained best how he liked it:

Last night I had my first visit to Prato and I have to say I would definitely recommend it. Service: Easily 5/5 stars for the service here, our waitress was extremely kind, friendly, and patient. She provided recommendations and made sure we didn’t feel rushed when we were feeling indecisive on food choices and overall definitely improved the experience. Drinks: We got a Hugo spritz which was amazing. Food: We started with the pretzel crusted calamari. I would definitely recommend this as it was perfectly cooked and both dipping sauces that it came with were stunning in different ways. They were so good I was indecisive on which one I wanted to use. For the entree I got the braised beef on a bed of polenta with carrots. I have to say that this checked the box in absolutely every way of what I wanted when I ordered this. The beef fell apart with just a fork but wasn’t too soft. It had just the perfect amount of firmness. The polenta was absolutely delicious and the carrots were akin to the cherry on top of the dish it was a contrast in texture that was a great pairing. Overall: I would love to come back and I would say definitely worth the wait if you have to make a reservation in advance!

3 weeks ago Heidi Mayer- why does he think this place is on the list?

Ok yum!!! We started with the escarole salad (boring) and broccoli rabbi which was delicious! Rigatoni was a large portion. Pizzas are 12 inches and the diavolo is so good. We asked for the spice on the side. We had three and one did not come with the spicy oil and pepper flakes but our waiter quickly fixed. We had a great waiter. Joey , I think. However one person ordered the sweet potato ravioli and it came after everyone else was 1/2 done. They comped the dish which was the right thing to do. I would come back. For the quality prices were reasonable Street parking is tough and no valet at lunch.

We visited Prato to celebrate my son’s 20th birthday and had a wonderful experience. Our server, Sabrina, was amazing and made sure our party of nine was well taken care of. She was attentive throughout the entire meal and checked on us often. I brought a cake for the occasion, and without me even asking, she kindly offered to store it in the refrigerator for us. She answered all of our questions about the menu and truly went above and beyond. The music playing in the background was perfect not too loud, so we were able to hold conversations comfortably. The ambiance was dim and cozy, but not too dark. Excellent service and a great place to celebrate a special occasion!

4 months ago Melissa DeGuzmansaid the following about this gem:

We came to try the updated menu, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! I was happy to see the meatball appetizer was still on the menu — always a crowd-pleaser. I was especially surprised by the salad — the cheese in the middle was amazing. If you love butternut squash, you’ll definitely enjoy the soup — it’s rich, thick, and full of flavor. For entrées, we tried the duck, braised beef, and branzino fish — all three were cooked to perfection. And don’t skip dessert! We had the vanilla ice cream, raspberry sorbet, and tiramisu — each one was delightful. Our overall dining experience was excellent. The atmosphere was warm, and our server was both attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!

Lunch at Prato was an experience in itself. Delicious food with smaller plates, but perfectly satisfying portions. I tasted several dishes, and the standout was the Tortellini with Short Rib–Mushroom Ragù, Pear, Gorgonzola, and Crema al Marsala.. absolutely outstanding. The staff was friendly and professional, and we were seated in a very comfortable booth. Highly recommend!

Food was very good. The duck beat the one I had in Paris. The contrast and flavors were all there, umami flavor, break was a little sweet and the saltiness of the duck plus the richness of the barolo all in one dish. The steak was nice, it does come with a lot of fries but they taste so good that I didn’t mind. Our server was super nice. Overall a beautiful night very quiet and calm. Will be back

3 months ago Knevon Peart: it is necessary to add to this place:

The menu was creative! The ambiance was great with different vibes in different sections/areas. Service was awesome! Only drawback in the goodness had was slightly too oily. Otherwise it was great! We had the Mushroom & Guyure Bignets for starters. Where great. Inside was a bit more moist than expected, but nevertheless enjoyable. For inside was the fried eggplant. Not sure if olive oil or truffle oil was drizzled on top or the oil from frying settled on the plate when served, but that’s my main issue. For the main we had the Steak Frites and Iberico Durocher Pork Tenderloin. Delicious food!

2 months ago M. Nuñezsaid the following about this gem:

For years I had wanted to try The Ravenous Pig in Winter Park, Florida. I went last night and had a great experience! The decor is at the same time functional, elegant and modern. I sat at the bar (which I love to do at most restaurants for faster friendlier service and conversations). I ordered an Albariño white wine from their extensive single glass wine list. The menu is vast and varied, focusing on American fare with either a Southern or European twist. I decided to have two appetizers and one of their vegetable dishes: creamed mushrooms and escargots(snails), roasted marrow bones with toast and onion marmelade, and a fried eggplant dish. I found the roasted bone marrow delicious, like the best butter and marmalade, ever. The mushroom and escargots dish was very creamy but needed a touch of acid and salt, and the eggplant dish was a little bit greasy, but had good flavor. The dessert I had was banana ice cream with chocolate ganache. The service was very attentive and friendly.

When a Legend Forgets to Turn Up the Heat Let's be clear: The Ravenous Pig is an OG of the Orlando food scene, a place that has earned every ounce of its formidable reputation. Walking in feels like visiting culinary royalty, and you rightly expect a feast for the ages. The room hums with a comfortable energy and the service is solid—everything is in place for a stellar meal. But even royalty can have an off day. The menu reads like a list of future classics, yet what arrived on the plate felt more like a pleasant memory of a better dish. Our main courses were served at a temperature so timid, you’d think they were afraid to make a scene. The flavors were all there, whispering their potential, but they were hopelessly muted by that distinct lack of heat. It's the kind of slip that suggests a kitchen running on autopilot; a restaurant so confident in its own legend that it has forgotten the small, fiery details that forged it in the first place. The feeling wasn't disappointment, exactly, but more like nostalgia for a spark we had just missed. We left feeling like we'd heard a great band's perfectly fine B-side. It was good, for sure, but we came for the chart-topping single. Here's hoping The Ravenous Pig finds its sizzle again soon—we're ready for an encore.

2 weeks ago noellasaid the following about this gem:

TL;DR - I 100% recommend a visit to Tibby's. The restaurant is elaborately decorated, the service is great and quick, the portions are very generous, and the food is spectacular and full of flavor! I really don't think you can go wrong with any dish. My boyfriend and I are from up north but we're no strangers to the area. However, I'd never heard of Tibby's until last week. We went there for the first time on February 24th, and the experience was amazing! In fact, the food was so delicious and the service was so pleasant that we returned the following week as well. The first time we dined at Tibby's, we had gator bites for an appetizer; my bf got a cup of jambalaya and a cup of shrimp & andouille gumbo; I got the half & half po-boy with catfish and shrimp (and a side of dirty rice); and for dessert we had beignets. It was all soooo delicious! The po-boy was gigantic, and very yummy. My bf said the gumbo was flavorful and some of the best he'd ever had. Our server (I forgot his name, sorry!) was sociable and friendly. The second time we dined at Tibby's, we had the honey crystal shrimp for an appetizer; my bf got a full bowl of shrimp & andouille gumbo; I got a whole muffuletta (served hot); and for dessert we had the bananas foster cheesecake. The honey crystal shrimp was wonderfully flavorful--we wish we'd had more! The muffuletta was HUGE and very tasty. The bananas foster cheesecake was the best we'd ever had--my bf has been raving about it ever since! Our server, Angelo, was very pleasant and patient. Thank you, Tibby's; We will definitely be returning again!!

From birthday touches to AMAZING service, Tibbys is the BEST! The food is incredible but the people make it worth the drive! Everything is so good and the vibes are UNMATCHED

1 month ago Luke- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Very disappointing. I just tried their gumbo for the first time and it was INCREDIBLY watery. Felt like I was eating brown seasoned water with some cheap rice and small shrimp thrown in. Not the worst thing I've ever tasted, but definitely not the quality I expected for a $20 dish. $30 because it was delivery... I could get something better from the frozen section of a grocery store. The picture on their website shows a rich vibrant gumbo, and I was served a small bowl of seasoned brown water with oil floating at the top. I am sad now. Giving an extra star simply because I did not experience the restaurant itself, just one bad bowl of gumbo.

Visited Hillstone on a Monday night with a reservation and got seated right away. We started with the artichoke dip — really good and super comforting. I had the French dip, which I liked a lot, and my partner got the Hawaiian ribeye, which was even better and what I’d order next time. Drinks were great (Woodford Old Fashioned), though the bar glasses felt a little simple for a nicer restaurant. Service was great. The key lime pie is a must.

5 months ago Liliana Martínez: it is necessary to add to this place:

An outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The meat was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and truly some of the most delicious I’ve ever had. The ambience strikes the perfect balance of elegance and comfort, making it ideal for a special night out. Service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive. One of the highlights is the outdoor area, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine while taking in the beautiful views by the lake. It’s also a stunning spot for photos, which makes the experience even more memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for exceptional food in a beautiful setting.

4 months ago Miss T.said the following about this gem:

I LOVE Hillstone! This is a great date night spot (recommended to make reservations for right before sundown so that you can see the sunset). There is a beautiful, small pier that you can walk outside onto. There's seating there as well for lounging. There's also seating by the walkway to the pier, and if I'm not mistaken, I think I've seen a firepit before, I'm not sure. But all in all, it is a beautiful restaurant. The servers are personable and are good at their jobs. The food?! The food is DELICIOUS. This time, I had more than my usual (knife and fork barbeque ribs that quite literally fall off the bone). My mom and I shared the Jalepeño Queso with tortillas and the Southern Style Brussel Sprouts with lemon aioli and reggiano. The queso isn't my thing but it was yummy, and the brussel sprouts? I dislike brussel sprouts but I loved these. That lemon aioli was chefs kiss! My mom ordered the crab cakes and she let me try them. I might be getting those the next time! The drinks are good too. I usually get margaritas, but this time I had the Jackrabbit, which tasted very similar to a paloma but served up. I recommend Hillstone over and over and over again!

4 months ago Lais Niemannhow did he rate it?

I've been coming here for at least two years, and this is my first review. I love the atmosphere, the way the staff treats me (always very friendly and professional). Lately, I've been going to the bar, where I've made more friends sitting in those chairs than I have in my entire life going to restaurants. The food is always delicious! I love the salmon and all the salads. I also love it when I get there and they bring my favorite water, my wine, and always my espresso, of course! Hilltone, for me, is like a hub for making new friends and great food. This place won't work for you if you're always trying new places, complaining about the food at restaurants, raising your hand to call the waiter. This place is definitely for people with above-average taste. I recommend it 100%%.

6 months ago Daniel D.- why does he think this place is on the list?

Great upscale place for romantic, best friends reunion and special occasions. Hard to find a place like this nowadays. The fillet mignon was very delicate and delicious . Mashed potatoes a little cold for my taste but balanced in flavor. The capuccino was not bitter and the Sundae actually surprised me. The ice cream, whipped cream, jalapeno cheese and devil eggs seen to be made with hand-made procedures. Customer attention very good as well. The manager came to our table to ask if we needed anything. Would come back with my future girlfriend to see the sunset 😊

Definitely qualities of a great leader and manager! Thank you for making our evening great!

3 months ago Richard Chapmansaid the following about this gem:

First, I will say that I have eaten at the four Rivers BBQ in Daytona Beach. So my expectation was already set that the food was amazing and the atmosphere was awesome as well. This location in Winter Park was definitely not a letdown. The food was amazing. The atmosphere is awesome. As a matter of fact, I might like this location a little better than the Daytona location. I chose to do the three meat platter and also got an extra side of cornbread. By far it's the best way to get a great sample of their food. I chose the sausage, the smoked turkey and the brisket. You cannot go wrong with any of those. If I were going to choose two for the two meat platter I would probably choose the brisket and the sausage. My biggest decision at the end of my meal was deciding what was going to be my last bite, a piece of the sausage or a piece of the brisket. And of course, which barbecue sauce the regular or the spicy. I chose the brisket with the spicy barbecue sauce. All in all great food and absolutely worth the price. I did spend $29 and that was with a tip at the register. I did get a fountain soda and of course again I did get an extra side.

My dad makes the best smoked meat, so BBQ places are honestly hard for me to get excited about because my expectations are pretty high — but this place absolutely met them! It was amazing. We tried a great variety of meats and sides, and everything was so good. Our favorites were the brisket, pulled pork, and smoked turkey — all cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The jalapeño cornbread, mac and cheese, and cheesy potatoes were the perfect pairings. And don’t skip the BBQ sauce! Their peach habanero sauce had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy and really took everything to the next level. We’re from out of town and loved this place so much that we’ll definitely be back again before we leave!

Perfection. 9.5 Sides: Cornbread - Tasty. 8.5 Coleslaw - Great and refreshing. 9 Mac & cheese - Good. 7.8 Sauces: Hot - Good BBQ - Ok Mustard - Good Missing a Vinegar based sauce. Perhaps a NC source of inspiration?

After a long debate of what to have for dinner: decided that miller ale house was the place to go; we were greeted by a hostess who was sweet she sat us at a booth, our waiter came to us in a timely matter and immediately was able to break the house and what was a waiter customers felt more like we were visiting a friend at their job. Osh was very nice, sweet, and very knowledgeable. As a license bartender i told him the type of drink i was looking for and he was able to give me a recommendation I may otherwise not have picked. The drink he pick out was exactly what I was looking for. The food was good and the service was amazing, he a person that could easily have people come back to have for his service.

11 months ago Adriano Masjuanevaluates this place as follows:

I've been to several Miller's Ale houses but this one in particular has a pleasant atmosphere and attentive service, which makes the experience positive. Xander was a great bartender/server. However, the filet mignon was overcooked, hard and unseasoned, which disappointed. Despite the good service and the atmosphere, the quality of the food did not meet the expectations, so I give it 3 stars. I hope they can improve in this aspect.

What a great burger place. It is in winter park right across from Rollins college. They have indoor and outdoor seating. You can order ahead of time by phone or you can go in and put your order in on the tablet. The food is freshly made and is incredibly good ingredients.Used are top quality and the service is excellent. 10 of 10 will definitely do it again. A little pricey for a burger joint, but you get what you pay for and this is definitely worth it.

Our family of 14 enjoyed dinner here! Friendly and helpful staff were one highlight (shoutout Tanner and Drew!) but of course the star of the show was the delicious food! Since living in the greater Mediterranean and middle eastern region, I have high standards for this region’s food, especially in the US. It was all flavorful and the perfectly seasoned and marinated meats were amazing. The hummus and baba ghanoush is still making my mouth water hours later! And for dessert- probably the best knafeh I’ve had in the US. I hope to come back to eat here again!

If you are a fan of Mediterranean food, this is the place for you. Having eaten in the Middle East, one gets an appreciation for the real deal. Let’s start with the baba ghanoush. Excellent. The table had several different dishes, but I’ll focus on the lamb dishes. Fantastic. I had the shepherds salad with lamb. The lamb was perfectly done and the salad was fresh and the vinaigrette perfect. My bride had the lamb kabob which was also excellent. The rice was the rice from the Middle East , light and fluffy. Everyone had the lunch portion which were very generous. I didn’t have any of their wines, but the line list has several Turkish wines which sounded really good.

There really is a difference; the service at this Outback location is incredible. I'm in the service industry and I always appreciate the extra effort shown by the staff. This Outback really has it together. Huge shout out to Dylan (Dillon?), our waiter. Great attitude, pro-active with drink refills, and checked in on us the perfect amount, which is a tough balance to strike. Kudos to the manager on duty as well, Murphy (sp?). Also a great attitude and attentive to anything we might need. We told him about the great service we were getting and he appreciated the feedback, promising to pass it along. And I noticed the whole operation was a real team effort, with other waitsaff bringing drinks, appetizers, etc, to our table, with the same great attitudes. A great example of everyone chipping in to help. Clearly a well run restaurant. We stopped in after visiting Leu Gardents- just a short drive from there. Couldn't recommend this Outback location more if you're in the area.

My best friend suggested this Outback for dinner tonight, and it was a lovely time. Started off the blueberry lavender lemonade, which was absolutely delicious with a good level of sweetness where you could really taste the lemonade and the blueberries. I ordered the French onion soup but had to swap it out for the side salad because it was too much of a sodium bomb to my taste buds. They were so wonderful changing it out for me. The side salad was perfect, with everything being tasty and fresh. My medium rare 6 ounce steak was so good. It was the exact level of cooked with lots of flavorful beef that just hit the spot. I took the cheesecake that comes with the 3 course meal, home to enjoy at a later time. Don't ask for a picture... it was devoured already.

Paid $75 total, for 2 coconut shrimp, mozzarella sticks, 3 drinks and a sparkling water. Jess, the waitress was amazing though!

The Cheesecake factory is notoriously known for their novel of a menu, but all the menu items I've tried are really good. There's something to say about being able to manage the quality of such a varied menu! I found a new favorite this time: Crispy Rice Cakes with Crab. The warm toasted rice cake paired with the delicious cool crab salad ontop was perfectly matched. This appetizer seemed like it would be a good choice dor aomeone that doesnt like sushi but wanted something close. I also had the Bacon-Bacon burger that featured both Cheddar and American cheeses, a crispy slice of bacon, along with a slow-cooked, thick cut strip of bacon. I swapped my regular fries for sweet potato fries--absolutely delicious. The drinks were good--I had a Mojito and a Mai Tai. The Mai Tai packed a nice punch. I will be ordering that again. I arrived in a big party. The customer service from one waitress was wonderful, the other one, not so much; she avoided our portion of the table when an order came out wrong for one of the people in our party. That was frustrating, as we couldn't order additional drinks in a timely manner. I will be back again for happy hour soon!

1 month ago R Lin: it is necessary to add to this place:

The Cheesecake Factory, famous for, well, you know- cheesecake. They do have pretty decent food as well, though all of it is very, very hardy (meaning calorie overload), and I’d probably give this location more of a 3.5 overall. I actually tried the truffle honey chicken and that’s the best thing I’ve gotten from there. Fried chicken with honey drizzle, mashed potatoes and asparagus. Probably as much of a well-rounded meal as you can get there too. Of course, the cheesecake is the show stopper. It’s fun to see what seasonal flavors they have as well. But again, if you look through the menu it’s insane how many calories everything has- a carrot side dish was like 700 calories- how do you make carrots gain several hundred calories? But if you don’t mind the cals or want to ignore and come indulge, it’s a good stop here.

Cheesecake did not disappoint. The food was great here. The dishes were filling and had great taste. I love the sundried tomatoes in the Farfalli with Chicken dish. The Spaghetti and Meatballs could have been better according to one of my family members. The Fettuccine Alfredo was a hit with another family member and the Korean Chicken was surprisingly a huge hit. The Keylime pie was too sour for our taste but can not go wrong with the original Cheesecake. 😋

Horrible experience, filthy floors, less than attentive wait staff, management seems to lack authority or concern. Overcharged for salmon kids meal when a grilled chicken kids meal was ordered. Very dry overcooked chicken. Lauren was not attentive and took forever to even bring bread. She seemed more concerned with her larger partied tables than our party of 2. Once it was time for desert I specifically asked for the "Godiva brownie sundae" at the request of the birthday girl and even gave Lauren the candles to put on the dessert. To my knowledge there is only 1 Godiva desert but even if there isn't it would be best to check with the person ordering rather than bring them thw dessert you decide because you simply were not listening or didnt care enough to confirm. The chocolate on chocolate cheesecake may have been perfect for someone looking for a free dessert but we asked clearly for what wanted and got what they wanted to give rather that what was requested. I am not impressed and I wish we had driven a little further to a better location for my daughter's first Cheesecake factory experience especially since it was for her birthday. I am beyond disappointed and the kids meal being billed as salmon instead of grilled chicken is a direct reflection of the lack of care our server Lauren had for our order or experience! The grilled chicken was overcooked and had I looked at it more thoroughly and the receipt these things would have been addressed last night. The swiftness with which I paid without double checking reflects the urgency with which we were ready to pay and go! I spoke with the manager before we even got any of our food to prevent our experience from declining any further she evidently did not take any action or her authority holds no value because this was a very bad dining experience for nearly $100.00 ($91+ including a small tip that Lauren didn't even deserve)

3 months ago Shanese Mathiswrote only this for this place:

I’ll start with the positives: The ambiance was very nice. Our waitress was also very nice, and although it was a busy Saturday night, we had a short wait for a table because there were only 2 of us. We ordered stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer and those were decent. My mom’s spicy tuna was also decent. The negatives are that my farfalle pasta dish was very bland. It had almost no flavor and I had to add salt and pepper a few times to bring the flavor out. I did take half of it home with me and after microwaving it (for only one minute) the takeout container that they gave us was basically flattened. This is an oily dish, so I was happy that I didn’t dare microwave it for more than a minute, as I’m afraid my microwave would have needed to be cleaned if any of the oil had spilled out. It is worth it to invest in takeout containers that are microwave friendly… Overall, I would be hesitant to choose this restaurant again, especially for the prices of the dishes. I would much rather go somewhere where I know the food will be flavorful and spend my money there.
