1 year ago Joy Zevaluates this place as follows:

When I was passing by this restaurant, I took my child inside to use the restroom. I was very worried they might refuse my request since I had been turned down by other restaurants. So, I decided to buy a bottle of water. However, the staff politely pointed me towards the restroom. My child felt relieved, and then I only spent one euro on a bottle of water. I have to say, the price was very cheap. I stood at the bar waiting for my child and saw the bartender making cocktails for other customers. He was very professional, which made me tempted to try one too. I asked the bartender to make me a lady cocktail, and after asking about my preferences, he treated my drink like a piece of art. I got the best drink I've ever had in my life! I am very grateful and decided to visit again tomorrow after returning to the hotel. I recommend it to everyone because it has kind and professional staff!

Beautiful! We stumbled upon this restaurant and it did not disappoint! Really lovely service from one of the guys there- he recommended other places in Florence too and made us feel welcomed I had pork with pistachio crust which was beautiful nothing like I've had before was stunning ; my partner had tomato spaghetti which was so rich and juicy - one of the nicest pastas we tried in Florence ! Even the bread with the olive oil and the vinegar, the aperol spritz was beautiful too, my partner recommends the passion aperol it was so refreshing! And the tiramisu is a must! I was trying to find the best place to try this in flroence and tried it here, was so tasty creamy tiramisu! Highly recommend and not overly expensive, very satisfied. Thank you

1 year ago Damian Tapleydescribed this experience as follows:

I had the smoked salmon, rocket and cream cheese croissant of a lifetime here. And it was not pricey at all. This bar is so soothing for being in such a good location. The staff were nice to me - I hadn’t eaten in a while and wasn’t clear with my order. They were wonderful about me wasting their time a bit. The playlist was very inviting and not hectic when I was there as well.

Amazing service and even more amazing food! Fresh salads, beautiful platters and tasty pasta. We loved everything we tasted!

2 years ago Nicco Leonesaid the following about this gem:

Superb quality in everything they do from breakfast and brunch, to lunch and aperitivo. It's cozy in the winter and buzzing with music in the summer. It's classic yet modern, relaxed and yet vibrant. It's the place to be!

The ice cream was delicious, also the coffee. The hot chocolate wasn't of my taste because it has maizena. They need to clean the bathroom because it was horrible!!!

8 months ago Clara Chiawrote only this for this place:

I visited in November 2024, and they had beautiful Christmas decorations already. The pricing is in a small glass stand near the register. The flavors are made without preservatives or artificial flavors. They can make rose petals on a cone! I opted for a small cup €4 and got two flavors: yogurt and pistachio. This was the most expensive gelato so far (I also visited RivaReno and La STREGA NOCCIOLA).

7 months ago Ishita Khurana- why does he think this place is on the list?

A must must if you love macarons. We went back again and again to try different flavors. It was so amazing I can still remember the taste of those heavenly goodness as I right this review. Located next to Duomo, a must visit, super cute, and cozy place to stop by for a quick coffee and macaron.

Fresh food, friendly stuff and cozy atmosphere. Perfect for a brunch. Definitely love it. We tried avocado toast roaster style, perfectly made. A sign could be useful to see it in street(easy to miss while walking).

Co nor was amazing host and so energetic and successful food energy. I'd definitely cone back 🙂 food was amazing and so was the drinks and service. Definitely ask for Connor, he made this experience wonderful for my birthday brunch!

9 months ago Lewiswhat can I say about this place?

Lovely brunch spot on the outskirts of the historical centre. We had two cappuccinos, blueberry pancakes and the burrito, which came with fried potatoes. Whilst not cheap by local standards, it was absolutely huge and set us up for the rest of the day. We’d definitely visit again next time we’re in the city.

8 months ago Anna Konstantinovasaid the following about this gem:

Amazing place, good menu options, Florentine Benedict and Avocado toast were delicious and served very fast. Good portions size. And of course coffee is really good, nice specialty, quite mild

11 months ago Ashley Varughesedescribed this experience as follows:

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The smoothies are amazing and the food is fresh and tasty! Hands down that it is worth the wait. We are a party of 9 and we came back two days in a row for brunch! The host, Emad is extremely accommodating and pleasant and our waiters; Dominica and Ulvi were 10+. Thank you for a great experience.

Great place to sit and enjoy the cathedral. Desserts are horrible. We had a tiramisu, which was not tasting like a tiramisu at all, interesting… Prices are expensive but tourist area I can understand that but can’t accept the tiramisu that bad… be advised guys, cheers..

7 months ago Rhoda Schnitzer- why does he think this place is on the list?

Lovely italian cafe very close to the dome and it is not a tourist trap. A great place to have a cappuccino/cafe and a small sweet or savory bite and watch the locals come and go.

7 months ago Mark Duffy- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Family of four popped in for take away pastries. The pastries we had were tasty and not too expensive for where this is. Service was friendly. Their queuing system is non existent for such a busy place and it felt like a mad dash to the ordering counter. I would go back. And think this is a solid place.

7 months ago nadeen -evaluates this place as follows:

Plainest, most bland food ever. Below average bread (the bare minimum for me is decent Italian bread!). Tourist trap. Service was good

What our travelers says:

5 months ago Anastasiia Yerominaexplained best how he liked it:

The interior is modern and stylish, the stuff is super cheerful and willing to help. We came here 3 times in 2 days: once for breakfast (scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked), twice for coffee & pastries. The coffee is amazing. If you’re into coffee, I recommend trying their specialty espresso 🤌 Also the stuff is much more kind than at the other place of the same network (we’ve been to on near Uffizi Gallery)

5 months ago Shea O'Brienwhat can I say about this place?

Ditta Artigianale on Via dello Sprone quickly became my favorite coffee shop while studying abroad in Florence. I found myself visiting almost every day, sometimes even multiple times a day, to enjoy a coffee and a chocolate croissant before class—always a reliable pick that never disappointed me. The staff was incredibly friendly, and even during the busiest times, they managed to serve my coffee quickly and efficiently. I often came here to study or read, and the upstairs area had such a warm and inviting atmosphere. While it was a bit on the pricier side for coffee in Florence, I appreciated their unique offerings, like the delicious pumpkin spice latte they served during the fall. The coffee and pastries were always fantastic, though I did find the food a little overpriced for the quality, and after one or two less-than-impressive meals, I mostly stuck to the coffee. If you're ever in Florence, I highly recommend stopping by—it's a must-visit spot!

11 months ago Tanapohn “Natt” Satheankhunwrote only this for this place:

This charming cafe is a delightful find. The coffee is expertly brewed, with a rich flavor and perfect crema. The food is equally impressive, offering a variety of delicious options to satisfy any craving. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a leisurely meal or a quick cup of coffee. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always greeting customers with a smile, even during the busiest times. If you're looking for a place to unwind and savor quality food and drink, this cafe is a must-visit.

The Old Stove Irish Pub

What our travelers says:

9 months ago Tomdescribed this experience as follows:

If you from the US, it's a must-do stop - especially if you are homesick. Great liquor and beer selection, almost anything you want. The music and atmosphere is beyond description, we have to come and experience it. Prices are reasonable. Tucked away a bit, so you don't have to deal with the busy crowd all around the touristy area. Forget the five star hotels and restaurants with the snooty waiters, come here for real people and service. Bathroom is a bit lacking, other than that this is a fantastic place to hang out. Check out their beer cocktail menu. Welcome to American Italy.

9 months ago Sangyeon Chohow did he rate it?

Irish pub in Florence with TVs for sports. You have to pay for each drink you order. You can't do it all at once. The restrooms are comfortable and cozy.

6 months ago Kristine Corpusexplained best how he liked it:

Happened to visit this pub by chance as it was the only place open at 10 am so I could watch a tennis match. TARA and ILIER were so accommodating and friendly. They are so down to earth. We chatted throughout the match. Being there reminded me of being at a bar in the US. I stayed for lunch…the burger and fries were solid. I didn’t try their drinks, but they have a lot of variety. The pub itself is spacious and clean. Highly recommend to visit when you’re in Florence.

10 months ago Lauren Tokunagaexplained best how he liked it:

Ambiance was okay, the style and decor is Irish pub but there was a club sort of music blaring the whole time. The burger was probably bottom 5 I’ve ever had. I didn’t come to Florence to get a burger, but others in my party fancied a Guinness that night. It was mostly bread, very lightweight, and the patty was most definitely frozen beforehand. Did not taste like beef either. Service was lackluster, even by European standards. The 2 waitresses spent more time chatting up with the bartenders than looking to see if anyone was trying to flag them down

5 months ago Michael Plasencia- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Best bar in Florence. Customer service is 10/10!!! ARBI is the best bartender we’ve ever met!!

Cute cafe between modern hipster and old school people’s canteen. You can sit inside or on the benches outside. Or grab something to go from the window. Good assortment of pastries and the flat white was pretty good!

5 months ago Marta Sustelowrote only this about this place:

It has the best capuccino and vanilla late in town! Is really good for a to go style of coffe, and their cakes are also pretty good! The only problem is that they are always full in the morning, but it is only because they are the best!

7 months ago Kornwipa Siribunyanuparbhow did he rate it?

Everything is so good. The coffee, the food, the ambience, the music and the waiter is 10/10 I’m so happy until I came to the cashier… after we paid, the rude boy at cashier pick one of our bank note then use the pen and pretend to mark on it. Then my friend asked him what? He and his friend behind just laugh and say “No no I’m just kidding”. Hmmm this is what you do with your customers really? I never get this kind of bullshit experience in anywhere of the world no matter at the cafe in higher or lower price than this. Stop doing kind of this bully thing to Asian people. I bet you don’t do it with locals. It’s totally not funny at all. You both are ruining the reputation of the cafe and also business by your rudeness. What a pity for your boss too to have you. I don’t know the owner will see my review or not but (hopefully he/she would )this thing should not happen to anyone. If you want to check who at the cashier today - we were at the cashier on Dec 24 at time around 12.45 around.

We were there four days ago, and first of all, the entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I would especially like to thank Nichole and Ali, who took great care of us and treated us with special offerings. When they heard we were from Turkey, they showed us all their hospitality. You must try their pistachio croissants and cappuccinos! When there was a queue at the door, they kindly offered us espresso as a treat, which was a very thoughtful gesture. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Florence, and it will definitely be my first stop on my next trip to the city!

Pro tip: We found this place based on other reviews and its close proximity to the museum. It’s only 10 minutes away from Galleria. Highly recommend!

5 months ago Markus Hahn: it is necessary to add to this place:

We went here for breakfast and can say it was by far one of the best breakfasts in the city. The omelette was delicious and enough to fill you up. It should also be mentioned that the service here is exceptionally good and we have not found anything like it in Florence. It is definitely worth stopping by here. We sat outside and there is not much space here. Great place we will gladly come back when we are in Florence again

9 months ago Kavya Huangevaluates this place as follows:

My husband and I absolutely loved everything about this place. The Tony’s egg omelette was the best omelette I’ve ever had, perfectly soft fluffy eggs packed with generous amounts of pesto and sun dried tomatoes! The portions are so generous for the price as well, definitely get the large cappuccino! Besides the wonderful food, what we loved was the warm and lovely and friendly people! With the classic rock music in the background , place was surrounded with the best vibes! We came back two days in a row because we found this gem in Florence during our travels!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Caffè Gilli is an iconic spot in Florence, and our brunch experience here was nothing short of amazing! The atmosphere is elegant and historic, with beautiful decor that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The food was excellent—we had brunch, and everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The pastries were delicate and delicious, the coffee was rich and perfectly brewed, and the overall quality of the ingredients was top-notch. Service was professional and attentive despite the busy setting. It’s clear why Caffè Gilli has been a staple in Florence for centuries. Whether you’re looking for a relaxed brunch, a quick coffee, or a luxurious pastry experience, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Florence!

5 months ago Clyde Greenhousesaid the following about this gem:

While staying at Hotel Savoy, we enjoyed an amazing breakfast directly across the street. We ordered a cappuccino, red orange juice, pancakes with maple syrup and fresh fruit, scrambled eggs with bacon, toast and a pastry that was topped with strawberries. All of the items were delicious and prepared with care. The restaurant was extremely busy and service was a bit slow. However, our server was very friendly and accommodating, which made up for the slow pace of service.

5 months ago Stoyan Stoyanov: it is necessary to add to this place:

The cafe is lovely and looks authentic. However, the service is slow and the cappuccino I had was tasteless. I expected much more from what is probably the oldest cafe in Florence. I advise you to take some of their wonderful pastries on the go. This way they are significantly cheaper. You can drink your coffee at one of the wonderful rooftop bars in the city center with a view of the cathedral.

5 months ago 김조은: it is necessary to add to this place:

Pepe and Tommy are so kind! When I told them I was on my honeymoon, they gave me chocolate and bread for free! I visited twice while I was in Florence, and the coffee was really great! They were so nice to talk to and I had a great time drinking.

8 months ago Amos Taywhat can I say about this place?

Nothing much can be said in this oldest cafe in Florence. To save some money, opt for the bar seat and you can lower priced drinks and pastries. All the pastries are fluffy and fresh. Excellent atmosphere but I would avoid the crowd by heading next door which is right beside. Same food quality but lesser crowd.
