Awesome and pocket friendly breakfast right in the middle of the town. Very friendly staff. I would recommend the variety of toasts as well as Churros😍

8 months ago Stephanie Schreiberwrote only this about this place:

We went here for a quick breakfast one day. The service was great and we were able to get in and out quickly. We ordered the churros and the tomate/ aceite along with coffee with milk. All are traditional foods there so we are glad that we gave it a try. It was all delicious and the location is convenient. I would recommend stopping by!

7 months ago Nicolas ANOVER- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Food OK but waiter especially unpleasant. In addition, he pushed us out before the ending time to close earlier. Tried to make us pay cash by saying the card system didn't work (which did work as he let us pay by card when we told him we didn't have cash)

1 year ago Kenneth Chindescribed this experience as follows:

Best Churros in Malaga. Served fresh and hot! Not sitting on a shelf half a day. Dip in a coffee or hot chocolate - delicious and great value

8 months ago Anna Sokolovaexplained best how he liked it:

The churros here are incredibly delicious – perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft within. The staff are exceptionally pleasant.

Le Grand Café Centro

What our travelers says:

8 months ago Katieevaluates this place as follows:

I’d stayed next door to Le Grand Café Centro a few times but never went in—thought it wasn’t really our kind of place. That changed on a rainy day in March, and I’m glad it did! We popped in for a beer (Victoria on tap, bery good!) and ended up staying for dinner because the atmosphere was so welcoming. The interior is really cool with lots of different seating options - high tables, low tables, booths, and tons of outdoor space too. The menu was easy to use through a handy app, which even had an English option and translated our order back to Spanish for the staff. It was a great touch! We had a glass of wine each, shared a club sandwich, and a mix of wings, croquettes, and other bites. Everything was tasty and reasonably priced. I’ll definitely be coming back. This is a great reminder not to judge a place by its cover!

Very nicely decorated bar with a great atmosphere. They have a good selection of drinks and fiber food, although I must mention I didn't like the burger. The location is also ideal, a bridge is all that separate you from the historical center, which is full of all kinds of attractions. As for the beach, it's a 20 minute walk.

2 years ago Eva Kristina Lambert- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

It was a true surprise to enter this place. Reminded me of both Dublin with its atmospheric wooden interiors and the lovely outdoors seating and Paris with it's grandness. Truly an enormous place indoors lots of different corridors and rooms a good stage for performances and I will always when in Malaga city visit this place and take good friends there. Truly a big surprise.

9 months ago Alina Comsa- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

I went to this bar because I wanted to watch a tennis match. In the end, I didn't remain there, because they didn't have the needed channel on their TV. But the guy I asked about the match stayed with me and searched the TV channels for more than 10 minutes. He really tried. So for me, the service was 5 stars 😍

Stopped off for a lovely hot cup of coffee and a glass of Nestea. Then we were bought out a complimentary plate of cuts of meat and bread, which were delicious. Friendly staff and very reasonably priced drinks.

6 months ago Julia Iskra- why does he think this place is on the list?

Random choice which I didn’t regret: efficient service, good food, average prices, I would eat here again.

1 year ago Nigel Rodenhurst- why does he think this place is on the list?

Been here about 5 times in the last week. Staff friendly. Food excellent. My wife loved the capricious salad and I loved the pigs trotters but sadly forgot to take a photo. Also excellent beer and wine, clean facilities and reasonable prices.

2 years ago Ryandescribed this experience as follows:

We came around 8pm and it was not that busy. But they are understaffed so we had to wait at least 20min to order something. Once we ordered the food and drinks came out quickly. The lady server was very nice. The food was okay. Nothing special. The chicken burger patty taste more like a sausage and was salty. The portions are good.

2 years ago Syl Evan- why does he think this place is on the list?

Love this market where residents of old town and visitors can find all the food they need: fresh fish and seafood, meat of all kinds, fruits, vegetable, and the ubiquitous jamon iberico. There're a couple of bar offering drinks and seafood to go with.

What our travelers says:

8 months ago Ajinkya Waghulikardescribed this experience as follows:

Loved our visit to Tejeringo’s Coffee in Málaga! The Málaga churros with four delicious dips—hazelnut chocolate, Kinder, white chocolate, and caramel—were a treat. The cappuccino hit the spot, and both the Spanish omelette and tomato & olive oil bocadillos were fresh and tasty. Great spot for a cozy bite!

4 months ago Halima: it is necessary to add to this place:

OMG what a place its fresh waitress es are so nice and Quick the Churros are Fredy and tasty muchas gracias

8 months ago Haniss Ngdescribed this experience as follows:

We came for churros as we saw some good reviews on both the churros and sandwiches. I'm not sure if we were just unlucky or got different treatment as tourists but these churros were hands down the worst churros I've ever had. It came cold, soggy and oily, it felt way undercooked as there was no crunch and was weirdly chewy. The sandwich was just average. The service was rude, we're always smiley and friendly with staff everywhere so I don't understand where this treatment came from, but they quite literally threw the plate with the sandwich on our table, we were shocked. The sauce was the only thing I enjoyed in this meal and I definitely won't be coming back.

8 months ago Anna Krasuska- why does he think this place is on the list?

A Churro Lover's Paradise in Málaga! Tejeringo's Coffee completely won us over! Their signature Málaga churros are a dream - served warm with four incredible dipping sauces. Cozy atmosphere, fantastic flavors - this spot is a must for breakfast or an afternoon treat!

What our travelers says:

9 months ago YAFEA ALYAFEIdescribed this experience as follows:

What a delightful breakfast café in the heart of Málaga! Its central location, right across the bridge connecting the old and new town, makes it so convenient. The funky interior design adds a charming touch to the atmosphere. I must say, the food was absolutely delicious—especially the curry chicken rice and the hummus, which were simply delightful! The prices were quite reasonable, and the portion sizes were generous. Plus, the service was impressively fast. A wonderful experience all around!

7 months ago Paul Krelaevaluates this place as follows:

We really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant! The interior was creative and stylish — I loved how the “bike repair” theme was thoughtfully incorporated into the design. The food was delicious, with generous portion sizes that left us satisfied. A nice surprise was the draft beer being available in three different sizes, which is something you don’t see often. We ordered tacos and nachos with guacamole and black beans, and everything was fresh and full of flavor. The staff were very friendly, and the service was quick without feeling rushed. Prices were reasonable too, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely recommended — 🚴🍴🍺

Lovely spot. Great for whatever time of day! The coffee was yummy! I will definitely be back and highly recommend if you’re in the area

1 year ago N N- why does he think this place is on the list?

This place was recommended to me, and we loved it so much that we ended up going there 3 times during our holiday. Very relaxed, casual, welcoming atmosphere, lovely people, and really excellent food! The pulled chicken arepa was my favourite.

4 months ago Mark Pattisonevaluates this place as follows:

Really good cafe on the edge of the town centre, quite near the main market. Good food with vegan options. A good range of drinks, try the juices and smoothies. Although one or two waiters looks a bit grim this is not reflected in the service which is excellent.

5. place definitely deserves La Canasta

La Canasta
We rate 7.8/10!. This place was visited and rated 5044-times

What our travelers says:

4 months ago JP Floreshow did he rate it?

Nice busy atmosphere during lunch. Luckily we got a table outside. Friendly waiter and fast service. The food was good. I had the roast beef sandwhich, which was loaded. I also enjoyed the good morning smoothie. We also bought some rosco de vinos and tasted the bocacherros. I liked the one with apples the most.

4 months ago Yana Frolovahow did he rate it?

We had lunch here. The selection of meals and drinks are great, everyone should something for themselves. The food came fast and was pretty good, but more home style. The service was okay, just a bit time to get waiters attention. Also sweets, meat, cheese and other is available to purchase and take away. The cafeteria is big, a bit cold, as the wind blows through the doors, atmosphere more like a school canteen than a restaurant. But very appropriate for a quick, higher quality and pretty cheap meal with family. Overall recommend for a family lunch before visiting the city!!

10 months ago Rahaf Halabi- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

La Canasta is a fantastic café and bakery near the port in Málaga , a must-visit whether you’re starting your day or just taking a break. They offer an impressive variety of fresh pastries, sweets, sandwiches, breads, and top-quality coffee. Everything is beautifully displayed and reasonably priced, making it a great value for the quality you get. Service is quick and efficient, and the staff are friendly. You can choose to sit inside in a cozy, well-kept space or enjoy the atmosphere outdoors with views of the city life. It’s the kind of place that feels local but welcomes everyone. Highly recommend it for breakfast, a midday snack, or a casual coffee stop!

7 months ago Zlatko Mahic: it is necessary to add to this place:

It's so refreshing to find a spot where "all good" perfectly sums up the experience. If you're in Malaga and looking for a superb breakfast, a delightful treat, or just a pleasant atmosphere, La Canasta Bakery is the place

5 months ago 张琪: it is necessary to add to this place:

The bread at this restaurant is good, but the female waitress had a terrible attitude. We ordered a glass of water — it would’ve only taken her to bring a cup and a bottled water — yet we waited for over half an hour without getting it. She didn’t bring the water until we were already ready to leave. Ours were the only Asian faces in the entire restaurant, and it’s hard for us not to suspect this was discrimination.

4. place is occupied by La bella Julieta | coffee bar

La bella Julieta | coffee bar
We give 8.4/10!. This place was visited and rated 5223-times

What our travelers says:

4 months ago Lea Hoxhasaid the following about this gem:

Terrible experience. The service was careless from the moment I walked in, and the place clearly hasn’t been cleaned properly in a long time. The worst part? I found a piece of paper floating in my coffee. We were sure the cups weren’t even washed. Completely unacceptable. If they can’t manage basic hygiene, they shouldn’t be serving anyone. Definitely not coming back.

8 months ago Filiz Aksu: it is necessary to add to this place:

We ordered Bocadillo de huevosrevueltos, or egg sandwiches. The sandwich bread was great, I think the sandwich could have been a little better. The Americano and cappuccino coffees were good. The atmosphere was nice, air-conditioned, nice decor, decent environment. I recommend it.

9 months ago adam efefexplained best how he liked it:

The food is nice but the portions are a joke. Ive ordered an energy bowl which costs 7.90 and I don’t know what kind of energy they are talking about. Maybe the energy to walk out and never come back. The customer service is bad, the staff is stressed as their numbers been cut short recently and they are probably doing double work for the same pay. The interiors could do a repaint and refresh. Been here couple of weeks ago and I already noticed that the staff is stressed and unpleasant but this time with the cutting food portions I will not be visiting this establishment again.

5 months ago Mik Bakalarzevaluates this place as follows:

Food is awful. The photo represents "egg", but it looks and tastes like stale glue. Possibly the worst place in Malaga, if not in Spain. Avoid at all costs.

8 months ago Edilane Barrioswrote only this for this place:

What our travelers says:

3 months ago Sel Lwhat can I say about this place?

Grilled and baked cod was very saucy but still tasted fishy. Pintxos bread was stale and tough .. not good Luckily I only ordered a little food. Sausage was soft and one dimensional It is however a nice place to have a beer while resting your tired legs if you need a break from all the walking

5 months ago Jose Luis Rodriguezwrote only this about this place:

Casa Lola is a must when visiting Málaga! 🇪🇸 The atmosphere is lively and authentic, with that true Andalusian charm. The tapas are full of flavor and represent the best of typical Málaga cuisine. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the service is fast and friendly despite how busy it gets. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to taste the real Málaga! 🍷🥘

4 months ago Ele Redhead: it is necessary to add to this place:

Casa Lola is absolutely amazing! The food is always delicious, and every time you go, you discover something new and exciting from the pintxos selection. The service is super nice and friendly — it really makes the whole experience even better. One of my favorite spots!

5 months ago Steve Denny- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Excellent selection of many different types of plates: fish/seafood, salads, hamburgers, Iberico jambon, beer, wine and soft drinks. Service was friendly and fast. Highly recommended by our local tour guide.

5 months ago ash turnerexplained best how he liked it:

Waited 10mins to be seated (even though half empty) but no problem if the kitchen is overwhelmed. The waiter made it very clear he had to wait for the ‘jefa’ to make the decision. Then another 10mins to be served… very little charm on display from the staff. This place appears to be trading in past glory. The food is still good when it comes but be prepared to wait and to feel like a problem to the staff to be endured. Shame. I’ll not be back

Casa Aranda
Definitely deserves 9/10!. This place was visited and rated 10127-times

What our travelers says:

5 months ago stewart woo: it is necessary to add to this place:

One of the best places for churros and chocolate in Malaga. The churros are not the thin variety, more like the thicker porras. They are constantly making fresh ones since it is so busy so your order will be hot and crispy. Great for dipping into a nice rich and deep cup of chocolate. They are open for the morning, closed for siesta, then open again until night. Tables fill up extremely quickly so there is always a queue. They do have a lot of overflow tables across the way (and one large area was closed when we went (Oct 2025) so it can be packed. Most people don’t stay long and ordering is fast and efficient (you’ll get your order within a few minutes).

5 months ago Danny Brouwers- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

€0,75 / hot Churro straight from the frying pan. Very nice, and the chocolate is thick so nice to dunk them in. Worth the walk from the harbor, you can skip breakfast before coming to this place. Service was fast.

4 months ago Немања Николићwhat can I say about this place?

The whole little street belongs to them, filled with tables and charming spots. Excellent churros and a truly authentic place to experience local flavor!

6 months ago Dhwani G: it is necessary to add to this place:

Great spot! The waitress recommended 3 churros per person for breakfast, but I'd say 2 should be enough as they're quite oily.

5 months ago Ece Twrote only this for this place:

Sorry, I came here because it’s famous, but compared to other places we’ve tried, the chocolate served with the churros was disappointing. The color was very light, more like a cocoa pudding than rich hot chocolate. The churros themselves were fine, but the chocolate sauce was weak and lacked flavor.

Such a cosy and lovely place with visually highly inviting food with vegan alternatives! And the service crew is absolutely friendly and talkative, speaking English too, which is important for me to communicate. I ordered a decaf cappuccino with oat milk and a chocolate orange cake, both so yummy!! Thanks for this🙏😋

5 months ago Brooklynn Keydescribed this experience as follows:

Very good! Our first breakfast in Spain. We got the omelette, latte, matcha latte, orange chocolate cake, and orange juice. Everything was very good!! The cake was a little dry but great flavor. The orange juice was amazing. Neither of us normally like orange juice and we really liked this one. Service was also great, very nice people!

Nothing but great. Home roasted coffee just from source from next door - you can buy it together like we did. Simple and tasty food and very clever of coffee maintenance. You order and pay inside and take a engraved number to your table. Service is really fast and nice. Best at the end. Chairs. You can have best coffee in town but if you have shitty chairs is just for nothing. They chose a super comfortable chairs from Nardi - my favourite Italian brand. Bravo. If you combine the best chairs with the best coffee in the town, you can’t lose. We love this place ❤️ and spend here all our mornings. Dana & David
