What our travelers says:

11 months ago OSHENT SIANO: it is necessary to add to this place:

The biggest church in Bratislava and also one of the oldest located in old town that you can see from where distance. I just have the day , so I didn't spend much time.

1 year ago Andrea Noriwrote only this about this place:

Well, it is not the most beautiful place of worship of ever, but it is still worth a visit, even just from the outside, as you will see it at least once during your visit in Bratislava as it is literally impossible not to remark it! The inner part is not all that interesting and be careful that everyday from 12 a.m. to 1 p.m. you cannot acces it due to missal services. It is free of charge anyway

1 year ago Marin “SayanMk” Kolevexplained best how he liked it:

Quite plain, actually, but an active church. Could not enter because of service hours. I liked that it's visible from the castle gardens and was a good part of the old town fortress like surroundings. Otherwise nothing special, in or outside.

1 year ago Bogdan Marcelanevaluates this place as follows:

While wandering around Bratislava, my wife and I also saw the cathedral, which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful. A statue of the great musician Franz Liszt "leans" on it and is almost overlooked.

1 year ago Anthony Chanwrote only this about this place:

Very nice cathedral. The staff helpful and friendly and helped me get a stamp. Beautiful during the day and during the night.

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Andrea Noriwrote only this about this place:

It is truly the green lung of the city. It is really interesting, safe, there are A LOT of benches, so it is impossible not to find a place to sit here, and there are a lot of interesting areas to visit! So I absolutely recommend to have a walk here or to rest some time in one of the benches you can find!

1 year ago Marin “SayanMk” Kolev- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

One of, if not the best, city parks in Bratislava. A lot of greenery, flat terrain great for walks, picnics, laying down in the sun, etc. Big trees, a lot of shade and a lot of space for everyone to relax, sit and walk around.

1 year ago RAMPRASAD SRINIVASANdescribed this experience as follows:

Lovely park on the banks of Danube. Nice place to relax and take a stroll along Danube.

1 year ago Christopher Lewiswhat can I say about this place?

A spacious park with lots of shaded seating. We sat and chilled on a bench and watched the world walk by.

1 year ago Peter Stolcwhat can I say about this place?

Beautiful spacious park near the city center. Perfect place to take a stroll or sit on a bench and read a book. Nice, quiet place for lovers.

The UFO Tower in Bratislava stands as the city's tallest structure, offering a captivating vantage point. The panoramic view from the top provides a stunning perspective of Bratislava, making it a must-visit for those seeking breathtaking vistas.

1 year ago Christopher Lewishow did he rate it?

What an incredible experience. Beautiful views of this beautiful city, from such an impressive construction. You can see this amazing bridge and observation deck from all over the city and to visit it, didn't disappoint. Great views from the observation deck and the bar below. A must visit, when visiting Bratislava.

1 year ago Pieter-Jan Zwaanwrote only this for this place:

Amazing experience. From the welcome, the food to the service everything was perfect. After our dinner we enjoyed the view from the top before we went home. I would suggest this very much to everyone who enjoys views and to eat great food.

1 year ago Chandra Kanth Reddysaid the following about this gem:

If you want to see all of Bratislava from one spot, this is the place to be. You can get a complete view of the city from here. The cool thing is, the building kind of looks like a UFO, so that's why it's called that. It's a unique name that fits its shape. So, if you're interested in seeing the whole city and checking out a building that looks like a UFO, this spot is perfect. Prices are different in different seasons and different days/times, check that

1 year ago Csaba Litkei- why does he think this place is on the list?

Beautiful view, the panorama is amazing. Easy to get here, booking is not necessary. The adult ticket costs €9.90 The bar is quite expensive and the service was really slow. ~25min for a latte and lemonade. But still worth to visit.

7. place definitely deserves Slavín

Slavín
We rate 9.2/10!. This place was visited and rated 8025-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Steve Bintleyexplained best how he liked it:

Well worth the climb through the steep streets to reach this site. Everywhere is well kept and clean, plus there’s plenty of signs throughout the site explaining the history and what each of the sections are. The views over the city below are impressive and there’s many good photo opportunities. A peaceful site with sad history but it’s a must-visit place when in the city.

1 year ago Victor CFwrote only this for this place:

A beautiful place, which I recommend reaching by walking through the stairs that lead up to this mountain, the views are worth it at the top. Many heroes are solemnly honored here. Very nice place.

1 year ago Marin “SayanMk” Kolev- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Worth the hike if you got the time. As a history landmark it is sad, of course, graves and such, but as a statue, viewpoint and small park around it - it's great to visit. Although not listed anywhere as an attraction. You can combine the visit with going to the castle.

1 year ago Dim Diadescribed this experience as follows:

Approaching the monument, I was struck by its commanding presence atop the hill, overlooking the city. The serene and solemn atmosphere added to the reverence of the site. The perfectly manicured lawns and meticulously maintained surroundings contributed to the sense of dignity and respect.

1 year ago Francesco Xodowrote only this about this place:

Slavín is a war cemetery located on a hill overlooking the city, whose liberation by the Read Army in April 1945 is here commemorated. The central obelisk is 39 meters high and on top of it there's a statue by Alexander Trizuljak of a victorious Soviet soldier carrying a flag. The visit is free and is a nice place to walk around.

The Blue Church - Church of St. Elizabeth
Numerically, he has the 9.2/10!. This place was visited and rated 8826-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Mihai S.- why does he think this place is on the list?

Very interesting and beautiful church. Everything is blue. Even the branches inside. If you are in Bratislava you should stop by to see it. When we arrived the church was closed but the main the door was still open so you can see the inside from the entrance.

1 year ago Andrea Nori: it is necessary to add to this place:

This is definitely the best place of worship you can find in Bratislava! Since it is one of the most famous monument of the city, there are people literally at every time of the day! In the photo it doesn't make much, but believe me that if you see it live you will be amazed. It is free of charge to visit it but it has strange hours

1 year ago alinda deydescribed this experience as follows:

One of the beautiful church also definitely unique one. The Disney-Land like appearance made it special. Both interior and exterior are attractive for blue color and small detailing on the walls.

1 year ago Marin “SayanMk” Kolevwhat can I say about this place?

This place had more disturbing tourists than anywhere else, demanding me to move out of the way of their pictures, although I was there before them and also took pictures, idk. Anyway passed by twice, there was always some girl or group taking pictures. Not that holy place anymore I guess. I really liked it. It would be so good if the castle was made in the same manner. The church is a gem, and so is the building right next to it. Not sure how it happened to be so modernistic, but I'm glad it did. Hopefully a lot of other places in Bratislava will get this makeover, as some are in dire need of such. Close by I recommend Medicka zagrada

1 year ago Sony Prajapatievaluates this place as follows:

This was easy to find and in a walkable distance. This sits perfectly on the main road so no need for any tickets unless you want to go inside. We didn't get into the details. I really wanted to see this place for myself as I couldn't believe the images I saw prior to this. God, this looks like cake decor. So surreal. Many people stopped by to take pictures. Definitely recommend.

5. place belongs to Čumil

Čumil
We rate 9/10!. This place was visited and rated 8957-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Piuli Basu Roy Chowdhuryexplained best how he liked it:

This was a cute little figurine in the old town of Bratislava. We visited Cumil, clicked pictures with him and he bid us goodbye graciously. This was a nice addition to the trip. We also saw the #menatwork sign beside him to prevent people from falling down at night

1 year ago Ani Syedsaid the following about this gem:

Went here early evening nice shops a great food selection and all the tourists places were free entry worth a trip for the day.

11 months ago Jaideep Singh Barardescribed this experience as follows:

Cumil, the iconic bronze sculpture in Bratislava, is a quirky and endearing landmark. This mischievous man peeking out of a manhole captures the city's playful spirit. It's a fun and photo-worthy attraction that adds character to the Old Town. A delightful symbol of Bratislava's unique charm.

1 year ago C S- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

For free and hard to miss in the heart of the city. One of the many sculptures on the road downtown. Nicely done and during day time there is a queue for taking pictures. If you stay overnight you may consider going in the evening or earlier morning. Consider to see some of the other spots as well and not only the ones marked in the maps. There are plenty around.

1 year ago Ghazal- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

This a popular tourist/photo spot. It’s really hard to take a picture of the man alone because there’s always someone taking a picture with it. So prepare to wait in line to take your pictures :D

4. place belongs to Bratislava Zoo

Bratislava Zoo
Definitely deserves 8.2/10!. This place was visited and rated 10128-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Valerija Aleškevičexplained best how he liked it:

Very nice place and only 10 Euros per adult. It took us about 4 hours to go around everything calmly. It is nice that many animals are given natural living conditions and excellent food suitable for them. We saw many different animals, many of them very cute. We liked it and the price per person is relatively low. It is true that in some places we did not see animals in aviaries because they live in their real environment. Among the trees and other greenery. In such an environment, deer, wolves, and others. I recommend it to everyone in Bratislava.

1 year ago Тетяна Пукасwrote only this about this place:

The territory is large and good for walking. This place is more like a park than a zoo. The animals (that I saw) looked healthy and well cared for. The zoo will be very interesting for children because there are beautiful playgrounds. If you like to walk a lot, you must visit this place!

1 year ago Ján Dujčákexplained best how he liked it:

Smaller but very kid-friendly Zoo. There are many animals which small children love - zebras, bear, lion, leopard, giraffes, chimpanzees and so on, which they recognize from their kids books. Also these highlights are close to the entrance so you don't have to walk too much to see them. There are also many great playground for kids. Living in Bratislava I would definitely get a pass for one year and go there on a regular basis. I definitely recommend it!

1 year ago Julian 2000how did he rate it?

Interesting zoo with many less common animal species, as well as everyone's typical favorites. The area is rather stretched out, so for some habitats you need to walk a bit, but that's no problem as there are places to buy food and drinks all over the park. Most animals have fine habitats, though some, like the one of the bear, are rather small. Price is good though, so worth a visit.

1 year ago Tim van de Polsaid the following about this gem:

With a great variety of animals, this zoo has something to offer for everyone. Keep in mind though that some enclosures are quite far apart (5 - 15 min walking) and some paths are quite steep. Also, some enclosures, for the example the brown bear, were rather small for the animals.

3. place - Michael's Gate

Michael's Gate
We give 9/10!. This place was visited and rated 12351-times

What our travelers says:

11 months ago Seah Shao Jun Nigelsaid the following about this gem:

This review is for my experience walking the entire area, inclusive of Michael's Gate and other surrounding sights. The entire area is gorgeous and has this amazing vibe and yet it doesn't feel touristy unlike in neighboring Vienna despite its central location. This is a nice small walking area with lots of awesome food options and architecture / sights. Check out the gate, Cumin's statue and even Avalon's Magic, an esoteric supplies shop. It was a pity we only came here for a daytrip and had to leave by 8pm. I will come back again when I have the chance.

1 year ago Ani Syed- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

A nice small town with great food options, tourism and open till late really nice people in Slovakia very helpful. Our first visit here beautiful.

1 year ago sathish kumar- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

A picturesque spot in the old town area. Nice location for taking beautiful pictures and sigh seeing. The lights make it more beautiful at night too. There are lots of restaurants and souvenir shops around and you can easily spend 2-3 hours here.

1 year ago Dim Diaevaluates this place as follows:

Approaching the gate, I was immediately struck by its impressive medieval architecture. The grand tower, adorned with stone embellishments and a distinctive copper roof, exuded a sense of strength and grandeur. The preserved fortifications and decorative details evoked a feeling of stepping back in time to a bygone era. Passing under the archway, I entered the bustling streets of Bratislava's Old Town. The gate served as a gateway to the city's vibrant past and a connection to its present. The cobblestone streets, quaint shops, and charming cafes that lined the area created a delightful atmosphere, perfectly complemented by the gate's historical significance. Climbing the spiral staircase within the gate, I was rewarded with breathtaking views of the city's rooftops and landmarks. The panoramic vistas showcased the blend of old and new, with medieval structures seamlessly integrated with modern architecture. It was a moment of tranquility and reflection, providing a unique perspective on Bratislava's evolving landscape.

11 months ago Katie P- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

We went up the beautiful tower. The sun was shining Lots of information about the tower and its history. £6 for a lovely view over the town was totally worth it.

2. place belongs to Hrad Devín

Hrad Devín
We give 9.4/10!. This place was visited and rated 16481-times

What our travelers says:

11 months ago Travis Maraexplained best how he liked it:

The ruins here were amazing to walk around. My wife and I were here in mid November and the wind was intense. Enough so that I really needed to keep a grip on my phone for some photos. The walk up to the castle wasn't bad and it's definitely worth a visit.

11 months ago Oğuz Avciwrote only this about this place:

This castle has a history dating back to the Roman period. There is currently not much aside from the structure but the view is indeed worth the price of admission. The castle commands a precious view of the river, town, and surrounding areas and it is indeed peaceful to watch.

1 year ago Julian 2000: it is necessary to add to this place:

Even though not much of the original castle is left, these ruins are absolutely worth a visit. Easily reachable by car or by public transport from Bratislava, this location offers a small museum, beautiful ruins and stunning views. The 'hike' up the mountain is also not as bad as it seems when standing at the parking lot. Another plus, especially in summer, is the drinking fountain installed on the central square of the castle!

1 year ago Pooja Bhatsaid the following about this gem:

Just beautiful!!! Serene experience. We were on a short visit to Bratislava and we are glad to have explored this place. Taking the early morning bus to this place, the journey itself began beautifully and the place was just beyond beautiful. Nature at its best. The views of the villages, fields, river (where you can see border with Austria), forests, and the castle. It was amazing. The fresh air, clean water, greens everywhere.. filled my heart and soul with peace. Definitely a must visit place if you are planning to go to Bratislava. The premise has washroom facility, drinking water and lots of benches to rest. It's kids friendly too. Overall a great experience being here.

11 months ago Matthew Ker Watson- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Wonderful old castle ruins situated in a perfect position over the Danube. Superb views and only 8 eur entry. Take the 29 bus and it's nice and easy but a good 15min walk from the bus stop and lots of steps up with in grounds.

1. place belongs to Bratislava Castle

Bratislava Castle
We rate the place at 9/10!. This place was visited and rated 48467-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Тетяна Пукас: it is necessary to add to this place:

A very nice place for a walk. There is a museum on the territory (paid). I wanted to get into the garden near the castle, but it was closed (it was late, in the evening). A particularly beautiful view opens onto the old town and the river. I recommend coming at sunset, when the sun's rays are soft and you get very good photos!)

11 months ago Tomdescribed this experience as follows:

Nice castle, good views from the crown tower. Navigation thoughout the museum is quite confusing and could be improved but has a ni e mix of world history, local and specific to the castle. I would say its well worth going if you are visiting the city.

11 months ago larisa dragansaid the following about this gem:

A big castle with great view and beautiful gardens. It takes a little effort to go up from the old center, but it is a nice walk. The architecture is not something to hold your breath for, but it is well maintained.

11 months ago ANA'S MAGIC WORLDhow did he rate it?

Bratislava Castle is a place where you can spend a few hours with your family and friends. It is easy to reach it by public transport, car or on foot. You can visit the interior courtyard, the indoor and as well the gardens, where the photos with the statues were made. The castle has temporary exhibitions from time to time, so you should go there and revisit it occasionally. Can't wait to see it again!

11 months ago Lavinia Roxanadescribed this experience as follows:

It is a very well maintained castle with beautiful gardens. But I feel like the 5 were missing. There is one panel at the entrance with details regarding the castle, but after this point, I couldn't find any other explanation. If you are bad with memory, like I am, you wouldn't know what you are seeing. Overall, the experience is nice and worth it. The views from the castle are amazing!
