11 months ago Larine Flores- why does he think this place is on the list?

Beautiful museum with a very rich collection. The exhibitions vary from time to time since there pieces are so numerous. Make sure to reserve some time in order not to overlook the musical pieces that are everywhere in the building.

11 months ago Long Kiu Hungexplained best how he liked it:

Wonderful museum. No waiting time; you use self-service machines to buy tickets. The whole process is really fast. And it’s free for people under 19 to visit both the old and new Albertina :) The only time I had to wait was when I had to pick up my coat and bag when leaving.

11 months ago Teodor Balaban (Bali)explained best how he liked it:

Impressive gallery and very well documented stories. I especially liked the 1st floor which consists of Michelangelo, Rembrandt and others. This museum gives an exquisite vibe to you, even if you are not an artsy person/art lover.

1 year ago Piuli Basu Roy Chowdhury- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Extraordinary museum with exquisite taste. The comparison and similarities between the works of Claude Monet and Pablo Picasso was amazing. The art of impressionism and abstraction really caught my eye. The museum was perfectly sectioned and very clean and neat. Being an art enthusiast and art lover, It was a great visit. We visited with the previously bought Vienna Pass.

1 year ago J_Gogo- why does he think this place is on the list?

A museum full of history and above all with updated and interesting exhibitions. I really liked the distinction between the exhibitions but also the chance to admire so many emerging artists or rediscover the old ones. I recommend a visit to anyone 🙌🙌

It's a wonderful park in Vienna. Unlike a normal park, you'll find tons of greenery, flowers, activities, meetups, monuments. Very friendlya and peaceful place to sit with your partner or friends maybe. You'll definitely like it. Putting some pictures of my own. I've visited in the evening and I loved it.

1 year ago BMSwrote only this for this place:

the most peaceful and energizing park in vienna. It is such a clean and romantic place with its big trees to sit or lay down under. Definitely a must see when you are in vienna. Also great with kids. It has a small artificial lake inside.

1 year ago Astha Batrasaid the following about this gem:

Lovely park for a walk or just to sit and chill. Lots of kids were playing in different compounds when we visited on a Monday morning in June. I had fun walking. There was also water sprinkler fountains, in case you felt too hot. It has many spots to sit and relax/ grassy area to run around.

1 year ago Divertimento- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Vienna Stadtpark is a charming urban park located in Vienna, Austria. Covering an area of approximately 65,000 square meters, it offers a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city. The park is famous for its lush greenery, elegant pathways, and vibrant flower beds. It is home to various statues and monuments, including the famous golden statue of Johann Strauss II. Vienna Stadtpark provides a serene setting for leisurely strolls, picnics, and enjoying the beauty of nature. In Vienna's Stadtpark, beneath my ancient crown, I stand as a witness to musicians renowned. Come, weary souls, to this tranquil abode, Where melodies of the past serenade and unfold. Sit beside me, dear visitor, rest your weary bones, As music wafts through the air, a symphony of tones. Feel the whispers of history, caressing your ears, As notes dance on breezes, dispelling all fears. Johann Strauss conducts with his golden baton, His waltzes enchant, setting hearts to a con. Schubert's melodies, tender and profound, In this haven of peace, their beauty resounds. Mozart, immortal, in stone forever preserved, His genius unyielding, his spirit undisturbed. Let their harmonies embrace your soul's core, As time fades away, and worries are no more. Amidst nature's embrace, find solace and peace, Let melodies transport you, all worries release. Together, we'll sit, beneath nature's grand art, A timeless symphony, a balm for the heart. So come, dear visitor, seek solace and rest, In Vienna's Stadtpark, you'll be truly blessed. Join the musicians, both living and past, Sit silently, dear friend, and let peace ever last.

8. place belongs to Museum of Natural History Vienna

Museum of Natural History Vienna
We rate the place at 9.6/10!. This place was visited and rated 31547-times

What our travelers says:

11 months ago anthony scottwrote only this about this place:

Such a fantastic museum! They have the most impressive mineral and fossil exhibits that I have ever seen. My daughter completely loves the experience and I did too! The building is gorgeous on its own without the exhibits, but they do a fantastic job presenting the evolution of life, the formation of the planet, and the interconnectedness of everything. Well worth it!

11 months ago piggylovesdragonwrote only this for this place:

Stunning collection of rocks, minerals and gems. One could spend the whole day and not get through it all! This beautiful building has exhibitions for everyone in the family. What a fantastic, informative way to spend the day! Did I mention the rocks…?

1 year ago shawn ducewhat can I say about this place?

This is a really cool museum! If you like minerals, hold on to your hat...there are rooms and rooms of minerals from all over the world. This was my favorite section. The dinosaurs and bronze age exhibits were very well done. The rest of the museum had cool stuff too, there were a couple of gnarly looking birds. A must stop if you are in town.

11 months ago Pietro Castiglioneevaluates this place as follows:

The Natural History Museum is nice and has a lot of different and interesting rooms to visit. On the first floor there are many interactive activities that can make the tour engaging. You can spend two or three hours walking around the halls of this palace. The building is stunning but it is almost identical to the Kunsthistorisches Museum (situated on the opposite side of the square).

1 year ago G MDNCsaid the following about this gem:

The natural history museum was pretty interesting overall. The dinosaurs were the best part along with the gemstones. The whole top floor is just deceased animals, so it was a tad bit morbid and lacked some descriptions of animals to expand the purpose. The museum was also very warm, as I believe they do not have air conditioning. Would recommend but be prepared to do without air conditioning on hotter days.

7. place deserves Viennese Giant Ferris Wheel

Viennese Giant Ferris Wheel
We rate the place at 9/10!. This place was visited and rated 35719-times

What our travelers says:

11 months ago Christine Dorleydescribed this experience as follows:

This is a must do when in Vienna. It takes about 15-30 minutes for a full circle. From the top you see the entire city. I went at night so all of the city lights were breathtaking. I'm unsure if the ride would have been better during the day. Prior to entering the ride there is a space that has small vignettes that gives some historical facts about Vienna. If you have time this is a nice area to see.

1 year ago Shay: it is necessary to add to this place:

What a wonderful park. The cost are for aingle ride, so not all need to ride along. It have multiple rides, Some rides similar to others. There are several restaurants within reasonable price within the park. During the night or after the sun come down it is the best time to come to the park. All the lights and everything looks amazing.

1 year ago Anastas Ifandiev- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

The iconic Viennese Giant Ferris Wheel has become a symbol of Vienna. When you enter inside there is a small museum - the Panorama exhibition - showing scenes from Vienna's history and telling stories about the Prater. The Wheel itself is slowly turning to show remarkable views of the city. The cabins are totally safe, there is a bench for seating. The spin takes about 15 minutes. Enjoy!

1 year ago RAMPRASAD SRINIVASAN- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

We visited on a weekend, so it was crowded. After buying tickets proceed to standing in another queue to ride the ferris wheel. This took almost 20 minutes. At the Entry they take photographs and it is absolutely optional to buy one. Once you reach the coach of ferries wheel, the waiting is absolutely worth. The views are amazing to watch. There is an option to ride over the coaches as well.

1 year ago Fang Hoexplained best how he liked it:

Fun ferries wheel. The line is long and there's no AC in the waiting room. The waiting room has a lot of fun display. Nice to have a great view of Vienna on the ferries wheel. You can also book a dinner service on the ferries wheel.

6. place definitely deserves Schönbrunn Zoo

Schönbrunn Zoo
Definitely deserves 9.4/10!. This place was visited and rated 48458-times

What our travelers says:

11 months ago Leo Guidesaid the following about this gem:

The Zoo was established in 1751 and is considered the world's oldest zoo still.in operation. It sounds fascinating and you have to take this into account when you set your expectations. The place is relatively small but it has giant pandas, red pandas, and koalas, among many other animals, which is a good reason to visit the place. I also enjoyed the canopy trail, which allows you to walk between the tree tops 10 meters above the ground.

1 year ago Kurt Farrugia- why does he think this place is on the list?

What a wonderful experience this was! There are tons of areas to rest and have refreshments while enjoying the views. Animal dens are very well maintained. Would highly recommend the seal and wolves feeding time. Average visit time of 3-4 hours. Family friendly too, kids can also come into close contact with goats and sheep.

1 year ago Amelia Millshow did he rate it?

Really enjoyed this zoo. Easy to walk around and lots to see. Unique and fun areas for kids to play. Popcorn was yummy. Staff was friendly. Did get very crowded very quickly on a weekend day. Bathrooms were small and often dirty.

11 months ago Alin Bocudescribed this experience as follows:

For sure one of the most beautiful zoo in Europe, we spent like 3 and a half hours visiting the entire zoo. There are plenty of places where you can buy food, coffee and other stuff. We will visit the zoo with every occasion we visit Viena.

11 months ago Lilia R- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Loved this zoo! Went there at 9:30 in the morning so no queuing and got to see most of the feedings. Wanted to see specific animals so was done in 3 hours. But you can actually spend an entire day with your kids there since the zoo is big enough. And there are a lot of other things to enjoy in the grounds of the palace.

5. place - Schönbrunn Palace Park

Schönbrunn Palace Park
We rate 9.6/10!. This place was visited and rated 52801-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Carolina Rebelowhat can I say about this place?

It's definitely worth a visit. Very beautiful palace, you can really feel what it was like to live there and how being a Hofburg should have been like. As an audio guide is provided, you're able to wonder through the rooms and listen to what they were used for, as well as some art explanations. It took me an hour to see all the rooms. Besides that, the gardens are mostly free and also amazing.

11 months ago A GIBevaluates this place as follows:

Tranquil oasis, perfect for Sunday strolls. Impeccably maintained gardens offer a serene escape. A haven for nature lovers seeking a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city, with never far from sight, the silhouette of the magnificent palace… 💚

1 year ago Kurt Farrugiaexplained best how he liked it:

Wonderful Zoo to visit, the animals have a decent space to live in and seem very well maintained. I would highly recommend visiting! I also enjoyed watching the feeding for the seals and the wolves. You may spend around 3 hours going around the place. Also great for families.

1 year ago murali krishnamraju Kalidindievaluates this place as follows:

The park is huge and beautiful. It has different kinds of flowers. It has a house full of trees but the entry is closed at that time. We can spend some peaceful time there with our friends and family in the evening. The entry is free.

1 year ago Chrisdescribed this experience as follows:

A huge place. You can easily spend a day here, exploring the gardens or visiting the other attractions in the grounds. The tour is very interesting, it's a massively opulent residence. Well worth taking the time to visit if you're in Vienna.

4. place belongs to Belvedere Palace

Belvedere Palace
We rate 9.4/10!. This place was visited and rated 62727-times

What our travelers says:

11 months ago Joseph Powellwrote only this about this place:

Totally cool place to visit and see the architecture. The statues were very well done and detailed. The cafe was busy but looked like they had good food. There were people also taking wedding photos here which I thought would be a nice background. A very cool place to visit with historical relevance.

11 months ago Samina K: it is necessary to add to this place:

Absolutely stunning palace. If you are short on time, do just the upper palace. Keep in mind entry is per the time given for your ticket. They don't take you in early and only give you a 20 minute window if you are delayed. The exhibitions are on three levels and it takes at least an hour to see each of them properly, 90 minutes for each level if you want to do justice to the beautiful paintings, sculptures and the rooms of the palace. The lower level has medieval and modern art if that's your thing. The gardens between the palaces are lovely too.

11 months ago Soren MNevaluates this place as follows:

They have a very good collection of artworks by Gustav Klimt, including “The Kiss” and lots of his other commissions depicting various figures in Austrian history. Very happy with my visit. Recommended if you are in the mood for arts, which can be a bit much during a Vienna trip because there are so many good arts museums to visit!

1 year ago Jen Wathow did he rate it?

Klimt's Kiss is actually the main reason why I chose Vienna as my travel destination after my conference. I went to the upper Belvedere and it made me feel it was worth coming to this city! It took me about 4 hours to visit the palace in-depth (almost listened to all the audio tracks). Definitely worth paying 5 Euro for understanding the history and the art. And I really love that they provided a wide variety of languages for the audio guide, even Cantonese one, which was a surprise as I didn't expect a German speaking country would have that. Listening to my mother language made me learn all the things better and more pleasantly. Whoever suggested making a Cantonese track, thank you so much! Also, the audio guide was easy and convenient to use. No headphone required and I liked that you use it just like your phone. As for the exhibitions, the number of exhibits might not be the largest, but all of them are great, and they're put in different interesting themes (female Secession artists, contrast between the rich and the poor, the two sides of war...). The Klimt's collection was beautiful and Kiss was really magnificent, shining under the light. The Klimt rooms were not as crowded as I thought (of course it would be slightly crowded, after all Kiss is one of the most famous Austrian masterpieces). Everyone could have the chance to get close and look into his magnificent works.

1 year ago Chandra Kanth Reddy: it is necessary to add to this place:

The palace is really beautiful, and the gardens around it are nicely designed for a pleasant walk. They've arranged everything well. Just remember to check when the palace is open before you go. That way, you can enjoy both the stunning palace and the lovely gardens to the fullest. It's a great way to spend your time!

A truly must see. Such a spectacular design and the architecture is breathtaking. Photos really don’t do it justice. The square surrounding the church gets quite busy, especially during the December holidays.

1. place deserves Schönbrunn Palace

Schönbrunn Palace
We give 9.4/10!. This place was visited and rated 139236-times

What our travelers says:

11 months ago Long Kiu Hung- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

The palace was amazing. There was a handheld small device which provides audio guide throughout your tour in the palace and tells you interesting stories of the royals who once lived there. I got the imperial tour which let me toured through most of the rooms but I regret not getting the full tour because the palace was truly magnificent and I would love to see more of it. I visited the palace on 1st November, which is also a Viennese public holiday - All Saints’ Day. The waiting for 3 hours for me but crowd regulation was really well done. When it was my turn to go in it wasn’t crowded and I actually had the space and time to enjoy every bits of the palace. So try to get tickets prior to arrival and you will not have to wait. But even if you have to wait there is no worry as you can wander around the garden of the palace like I did (where I took the pictures attached) and walking about the small let me oversee the entire Vienna. The scenery and gardening was amazing. There was a small castle, which once was the dining of the royals, on the top of the hill and has now been turned into a coffee shop and an observatory. But be noted that you can only go all the way up to the observatory if you have bought the most expensive ticket type. I did not get that so I missed the opportunity to go up. Overall, I would say this is a must-go when visiting Vienna for the first time. You learn a lot about the local history and can enjoy amazing view. :)

11 months ago Christine Dorleywhat can I say about this place?

Oh wow...What a beautiful palace. Full of Hapsburg history and home of Empress Maria Teresa. So many beautiful rooms which emphasize the wealth of the empire. The ceiling frescoes are breathtaking with so much detail that one visit to see it all is not enough. No pictures are allowed inside unfortunately, so you'll have to go and see it for yourself. And the gardens are also something to behold. Even though it was winter the grounds were exquisite. The fountains were gorgeous. You really need several hours to tour the entire place.

11 months ago Büşra Aysaid the following about this gem:

Wonderful place to visit. There are many great artworks and gardens are mesmerisingly beautiful! You can buy your tickets online but the queue is not that long since many kiosks work, you can just buy them at the entrance.

11 months ago Leo Guide- why does he think this place is on the list?

Schönbrunn Palace was the main summer residence of the Habsburg Royal family. It was designated as a World Heritage site in 1996. The palace territory is accessible free of charge and several audio-guided tours are offered to see the interiors. Unfortunately, it is not allowed to take pictures inside the palace. It is better to see the gardens during the spring and summer seasons. I recommend visiting Schönbrunn only if you have an extra day in Vienna.

1 year ago A Show did he rate it?

Love this place. So beautiful and a photographers dream as so many backgrounds to use. We went for the day as we just got engaged and was peaceful place to walk and enjoy the moments. Love to go back to visit the Palace and the zoo. Vienna has our heart ♥
