What our travelers says:

10 months ago Christina Beebeevaluates this place as follows:

Fun experience visiting this absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking library & astronomical tower. We weren't able to go inside the library room itself, as to preserve it. I wasn't aware of that fact prior to purchasing the guided tour, so I was a bit disappointed , but understand why that rule is in place. Still a great experience!

1 year ago Eugen Draganexplained best how he liked it:

Great place! Full of history. Organized tours with stories about the library. Unfortunately the library cam only be seen from the entrance door in order to preserve books. Great view of Prague from the tower!

1 year ago Kurt De Ridderwhat can I say about this place?

Great historical place to see. The library itself can only briefly be seen from the outside, but to prevent any damage to this legendary library, this is the right thing to do. The rest of the tour with the astronomy tower, including the view over Prague from the top was breathtaking. Two thumbs up as well to our guide Miro!

1 year ago Amanda Gonzalezexplained best how he liked it:

We were so glad we visited! The views were amazing and the library was beautiful. Book ahead or stop by in the morning to reserve tickets. We went to grab tickets one afternoon and the remaining timeslots were somewhat limited. The steps at the top are super steep, I have a hard time with heights and coming down was a little slow-going for me.

1 year ago Maria Zeeewrote only this about this place:

The most beautiful library of the world , very very ornated which holds soooo many books and tge view from the tower was great. Only bad thing is I booked the time slot that was narrated by a Czech speaker but on the website it didn't specify which language will be spoken. Also the time is very limited to be there.

9. place is occupied by Franz Kafka - Rotating Head by David Cerny

Franz Kafka - Rotating Head by David Cerny
We give 9/10!. This place was visited and rated 24666-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Marin “SayanMk” Kolevwrote only this about this place:

Definitely a piece of art you shouldn't miss out on! The head moves for 15 minutes every hour. Get there 10 minutes early to get a better spot, because it does more than just rotate - it performs. And it's a great piece of engineering! The most futuristic piece of art I've seen in Europe. Yes it's fun to see it on a video, but live Is better!

1 year ago Nataliia Bogutskaexplained best how he liked it:

Absolutely stunning show of modern art, with Franz Karla’s head rotating in many different places and pieces every hour for 15 minutes, attracting many many tourists and providing the head a view in every direction. A must see for anyone even remotely interested in art, creativity, or a good time! And…it’s totally free to enjoy and film. A must do in Prague. One of the highlights after castles and amazing old town buildings.

10 months ago Lewis Willswhat can I say about this place?

Was being serviced when we went so unable to see the statue, nice shopping mall, good location but again would have been good to be able to actually see the statue

1 year ago Anna Panizzolowhat can I say about this place?

The head looks good and is very big. Interesting rotations. It rotates for 15 min every hour. Fun to see once but not worth visiting more often.

1 year ago Albert Van den Bergwhat can I say about this place?

After seeing so many pictures and videos of this piece of art I was still pleasantly surprised by its size and movement. It is situated outdoor so no ticket is needed and it rotated every time I was passing by. Very original and pleasant to watch.

8. place is occupied by Petrin Tower

Petrin Tower
Definitely deserves 9/10!. This place was visited and rated 27052-times

What our travelers says:

10 months ago Anirudh Subramaniandescribed this experience as follows:

Great views of the city of Prague. It’s a good walk up the hill but you can also take the funicular which doesn’t cost much. The staff are also friendly and there is an elevator for an extra price for those who find the stairs difficult.

11 months ago Isabelle Ioannidessaid the following about this gem:

A beautiful walk up the hill (or you can take the historic lift, also a super experience). Go up the observatory (it's easy, there are lifts), the views on the old city centre of Prague are definitely worth it. From there it's a short (15 min), easy walk to Strahov Monastery. The library is, not yo be missed. The walk back to town is scenic, down hill and ever so beautiful, esp. just before sunset. You'll need at least half a day. A five star experience!

11 months ago Matt Bournedescribed this experience as follows:

More interesting Czech architecture. Nice to be out of town and getting some fresh air, walking up the hill. Coffee shop at the top. Can climb the Tower if you like heights

1 year ago Luis Medinawrote only this about this place:

This place is a must for newcomers to Prague. Here you can get an amazing view of the city at any time of the day. You can get to the tower by foot (which is a somewhat challenging but enjoyable walk), by car or by the lift (or whatever it is called) that takes you all the way up. I recommend the walk if you are a fit person and if the temperature is not too high. Otherwise go for any of the other options. To get to the top of the tower you must pay a ticket, which is not expensive. Then you have to climb up using the stairs. This is also somewhat challenging but on your way up you get a great view.

10 months ago Emilio Rodríguezsaid the following about this gem:

Amazing view of Prague from the middle and top of the tower. Compared to other touristic places, this tower is not too crowded. It’s a must if you are in Prague!

7. place definitely deserves Národní Muzeum

Národní Muzeum
Definitely deserves 9/10!. This place was visited and rated 31840-times

What our travelers says:

10 months ago Adam Pýchahow did he rate it?

The Czech National Museum is a real gem. If you are from the Czech Republic, you will visit it many times in your lifetime, but there is always something new to discover. I am reviewing it now after my visit at the end of 2023. Here after several years when it was undergoing many renovations and modifications. I can say straight away that it is amazing. The basic sightseeing tours have undergone significant change and really are true to the 21st century. They are great for families and adult tourists alike. Everything is viewed created with the history of the Czech Republic and Czech lands in mind, but still has a big and global overlap. The fact that the building itself is an architectural gem makes a visit a real treat. The main building is connected to the new building of the National Museum, which also offers interesting and usually simultaneous exhibitions. Allow at least three hours for your tour. I always recommend buying tickets in advance and visiting some of the other exhibitions.

10 months ago Mert Toroswhat can I say about this place?

Huge museum with great historical building. The museum complex has different kinds of exhibitions, nearly all of them are interesting. Especially the animal world and the minerals part were my favorites. You get a chance to learn Czech history as well. All have a great amount of pieces and understandable descriptions with them. Historical building is located at the start of the Wencaslas Square and in it there is a chance to see all of the street from the building's top floor.

10 months ago Magdalena Blazheskawrote only this about this place:

A must-visit! Amazing collection of minerals and precious/semi-precious stones. Also, the life-size mammoth and dinasours really paint a picture. A lot of fossils can be found as well. The view from the top is amazing! I strongly recommend it, for kids as well. We visited the museum complex, but there was also another exhibition of Baroque in Bohemia.

10 months ago и- why does he think this place is on the list?

When I first visited the museum, I was completely mesmerized by its stunning architecture. Not only is the interior absolutely breathtaking, but the exhibitions themselves are also great and well put together. Entrance is affordable and totally worth the price. If there’s anything you should definitely visit in Prague, then it’s this museum!

10 months ago olenka vereschakwhat can I say about this place?

It was the first place that we visited in Prague. A beautiful, large museum with a variety of historical exhibits. You can explore everything from the very beginning, like dinosaurs, to today's history, including details about World War I and World War II, and how the Czech Republic defended its independence. Keep in mind that you have to spend the entire day here to see everything; I was there for only 3 hours and saw maybe only 25% of the museum.

6. place belongs to Lennon Wall

Lennon Wall
Definitely deserves 8.2/10!. This place was visited and rated 37772-times

What our travelers says:

10 months ago Honed Aggressordescribed this experience as follows:

Amazing tour well worth the money, very knowledgeable tour guide and very proud of their beautiful city, plus so much fun riding round Prague. I would highly recommend doing a tour with them you won't regret it.

1 year ago Jacque Laneevaluates this place as follows:

What a peaceful and quiet respite from St Charles bridge. Everyone seemed quiet and reflective and took turns to take pics in front of the wall. Imagine. Had the best time stopping in the Wall Pub after our time at the Lennon wall. Staff were so friendly and we met other travelers and enjoyed a pint. Don’t skip it

1 year ago Liling Ranner- why does he think this place is on the list?

Visited it on 20th June and would say the Lennon wall looks different than its original as many have covered the face since then. But its a colorful wall attraction with a great message. The shop inside sells really cool works too so do check that out.

1 year ago Lina Courtwrote only this for this place:

I love John Lennon and this was a cute little wall where everyone could write on it. I loved it but it was a bit crowded even though I went early morning

1 year ago R Harrison- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Pass this one, definitely not worth it it's just stickers now stuck over what may have been a painting. Disappointed

5. place gets Prašná brána

Prašná brána
Numerically, he has the 9.2/10!. This place was visited and rated 39667-times

What our travelers says:

10 months ago Christina Beebesaid the following about this gem:

Found this randomly and decided to go up. You can buy tickets at the ticket booth across from the front entrance outside, or by card. At the top of the entry stairs. It was a really great view and we had it all to ourselves during nighttime hours. Really cool, with the wooden structure and the wind blowing, making everything creak and sound somewhat spooky.

1 year ago Michael Barton- why does he think this place is on the list?

Such an underrated spot! The ticket booth is located on the sidewalk on the north side of the tower. They also offer tickets bundled for other historical attractions around town. Cash and card is accepted. There are two floor of the tower and then the roof terrace and attic. Your ticket will be checked in the first floor. The staircase leading up is barely wide enough for people to pass so be careful. There are exhibits on each floor, but you're probably going up for the view at the top. Go at sunset for the best views! Tripods aren't allowed, but you're able to rest a camera on the ledges at each window. It's probably the best view in the city.

1 year ago Jeremy Rileyexplained best how he liked it:

This was one of the first towers we visited during our stay in Prague. There's a very steep set of stairs to the first floor and most of the history of the tower is here too, along with a knowledgeable guide. The view isn't the best in the city since it is surrounded by quite tall buildings but it's a good place to visit with some interesting history.

10 months ago Jisoo Leehow did he rate it?

I recommend visiting this place. It was less crowded than the Astronomical Clock Tower. Although there wasn't much to see, I think it's a nice spot if the weather is good.

11 months ago Леся Радчук- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

No worries on weekdays. You can enter at any time due to the schedule. Or just walk around and enjoy the scenery.

4. place deserves Prague Astronomical Clock

Prague Astronomical Clock
We give 9.4/10!. This place was visited and rated 57191-times

What our travelers says:

10 months ago Asif Patelwrote only this for this place:

"The Astronomical Clock in Prague is an absolute marvel of engineering and artistry. Its intricate design and centuries-old craftsmanship are awe-inspiring. Watching the hourly show, as the mechanical figures come to life, is a captivating experience. The historical significance combined with the clock's intricate details make it a must-see attraction. A true gem that adds a touch of wonder to Prague's rich cultural tapestry."

11 months ago Luke Johnsonwrote only this about this place:

Unfortunately I didn’t do enough research to fully understand what only a walk by would have me missing. It’s a beautiful building but make sure you take time to walk around and see the clock. Buy the tickets and climb the stairs. This is one of the oldest mechanical working clocks still working today. So fascinating.

11 months ago Lydia Smithexplained best how he liked it:

Visited this clock multiple times you will find that on your trip to Prague if you don’t end up back at Charles Bridge then you’ll definitely be back in the centre on the old town at the astronomical clock. This clock is only accessible by foot as its an almost market square area. Beautiful visit, please visit this clock on an hour as you will get to see a little show (no spoilers here). No tickets needed to visit it is free unless you want a guide (local) or I believe you can enter but that would be charged at the clock. ☺️

10 months ago Rach Gloverwhat can I say about this place?

Beautiful views, during both day and evening, especially during the Christmas Market period. Can be a bit busy as the viewing perimeter is quite narrow. Also a bit disappointed that the option to take the lift between the 3rd and 4th floors cost extra. Disappointing for those who are not physically able to climb the ramp.

11 months ago Nomad- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

The Prague Astronomical Clock is a mesmerizing masterpiece that transports you through time. Its intricate design and celestial features showcase a blend of artistry and astronomical precision. The hourly show, with its animated figures, adds a touch of enchantment to the Old Town Square. Visiting this historic timepiece is like stepping into a bygone era, where craftsmanship and technology converged. A must-see attraction that captures the heart of Prague's rich cultural heritage.

3. place definitely deserves St. Vitus Cathedral

St. Vitus Cathedral
We rate the place at 9.6/10!. This place was visited and rated 77591-times

What our travelers says:

11 months ago Grace Lhow did he rate it?

Absolutely beautiful, both inside and outside. You need to buy ticket to get in, you also need to pay for using the bathroom. Definitely worth 5 stars in terms of its view. Have to remove one because it was extremely crowded, even inside the Cathedral. There should be some sort of crowd control

11 months ago Alenka Drevaluates this place as follows:

Impressive place with a long and rich history, the cathedral made a lasting impression on me. Worth every cent spent on entrance fees. The grandeur, the stained-glass windows, the chapels, the stories. Lighting a candle, inviting in good energies and peace upon our beloved ones, family and friends rounded up the visit. If you ever visit Prague and its majestic castle, you definitely have to take the tour of the cathedral as well.

10 months ago Luiza Bratu- why does he think this place is on the list?

It is a fantastic building with spectacular architecture. The stained glass windows and specific decorations are very beautiful. We only had time to visit the church, not the rest of the castle complex, but it was well worth it.

10 months ago Mehmet Emin C.wrote only this about this place:

In my opinion, it is the most beautiful place to see in Czechia. It takes at least 4 hours to tour. Tour the castle as a whole. The torture chamber and the places where the old knights stayed are very interesting.

10 months ago Jeffwrote only this for this place:

Spectacular church, probably one of the 20 best churches I've seen. Most definitely worth the relatively inexpensive ticket for the Prague castle complex. Highly recommend. We were there before 10 so it want very crowded yet.

2. place is occupied by Old Town Square

Old Town Square
We rate the place at 9.4/10!. This place was visited and rated 98836-times

What our travelers says:

10 months ago Joyce James- why does he think this place is on the list?

We visited for the Christmas Markets and we were not disappointed. A beautiful square with so many stunning buildings, including churches & monuments. The Christmas stalls were mainly selling delicious smelling food & drink but also lots selling Christmas gifts & novelties. The smell of cinnamon was lovely & the mulled wine. The centre piece was a huge tree decorated with baubles and lights. We visited firstly during the day and loved it but we returned the following day in the evening and it was spectacular the lights were amazing (the tree is switched on fully every evening) the whole square had a different feel to it so alive & vibrant. The food smelled even better & we succumbed to a hot dog each which was delicious plus my husband tried the old Prague ham. There was music & lights and it felt so festive it was very heartwarming to experience it. You can even go on a horse drawn carriage ride A lot busier than daytime as there were people everywhere but everyone was in good spirits. If you're there for Christmas it's a must

10 months ago Asif Patel- why does he think this place is on the list?

“The Old Town Square in Prague during the Christmas season is nothing short of magical. The festive atmosphere, adorned with twinkling lights and charming decorations, creates a truly enchanting experience. The Christmas market adds to the joy, offering delightful treats and unique gifts. The historic backdrop enhances the holiday spirit, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a magical winter wonderland in the heart of Prague.”

10 months ago James Johnson- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

We were here for the Christmas markets in early December and had a wonderful few days. Prague is amazing, the people are friendly and it is so easy to get around either by walking or public transport. We found some really nice places to eat and crammed in so much in our four days.

10 months ago Gary Hevaluates this place as follows:

My wife and I went early December in time for the Christmas markets. The old town square did not disappoint. Visually in the evening it is something special, the stalls are mostly food which has become a standard thing everywhere. A must visit if your in the beautiful city of Prague.

10 months ago Emese Györgywrote only this about this place:

The buildings are like gingerbread houses, I really like the architecture of Prague. We went to the Christmas market, so it was even more magical, but really busy, you should expect a great amount of people there in December. 😁🌲

1. place deserves Charles Bridge

Charles Bridge
Definitely deserves 9.6/10!. This place was visited and rated 154635-times

What our travelers says:

10 months ago Asif Patel: it is necessary to add to this place:

Charles Bridge is an iconic gem in the heart of Prague, offering a picturesque stroll with breathtaking views of the Vltava River and Prague Castle. The bridge’s historic statues and the Old Town Tower add a touch of medieval charm. Whether during sunrise or sunset, the atmosphere is enchanting. Street performers and artists contribute to the lively ambiance. It’s a cultural and architectural masterpiece that captures the essence of Prague. A must-visit for anyone seeking a blend of history, beauty, and the vibrant spirit of the city.

10 months ago Ghoommketuwrote only this about this place:

Charles Bridge is quite popular in Prague. It was built many years ago and represents one of the most direct ways to reach the old town within the city. It can be visited at any time, as long as there is daylight you can see the details, while at night with the street lighting it will create a romantic atmosphere.

10 months ago Christina Beebehow did he rate it?

A must see when visiting the city! Beautiful statues with a colorful history. Beautiful views. Careful for pick-pocketing and it is a VERY busy place, but worth it! Get a guided tour to learn about all the statues.

10 months ago Adam-James laveauxwhat can I say about this place?

A beautiful bridge that is surprisingly long. Lots of artists and musicians lining the side of the bridge. At daytime it’s quite peaceful and you can enjoy your stroll. As soon as the sun sets it become packed and chaotic. Although the views are better at night, the sheer amount of people can put a dampener on that.

10 months ago P Sirimotedarawrote only this about this place:

This is one of the most famous bridges in Prague, and it is also the oldest bridge in the city. The sights are beautiful, whether it's dark or light outside. No matter what season. It is a good idea to be on the bridge early in the morning because there won't be many people, and the view is incredibly beautiful. At night, it’s also crowded but quite beautiful too
