One of the most beautiful and exquisite palaces in Brandenburg with ancient precious sculptures and vases. Unfortunately can be visited only with a one-hour excursion in German, which is not enough for such a splendid place and doesn’t always suit foreigners.

A museum dedicated to the history of the famous filmstudio Babelsberg

5 years ago Vishnu Varatharajandescribed this experience as follows:

This is a wonderfully organised film museum with a very supportive staff system. Their monthly catalogues are very well made. Two weeks back, I contacted the support team to enquire about the screening of 'Pulp Fiction'. Not only I got an immediate response, but also my seats were reserved. When we 7 people reached the museum, they moved with us in a very friendly manner while issuing the tickets. The receptionist was quite interested in reading out my surname from my past email, and we had a brief cultural exchange. It does take some time to visit the museum, but if you have time by your side in Potsdam, this is definitely worth a visit.

1 year ago Nakrani Hardikhow did he rate it?

St. Nicholas' Church is a beautiful and historic church located in the heart of Potsdam. As soon as you walk in, you'll be struck by the stunning architecture and the peaceful atmosphere. The church has a rich history, dating back to the 17th century, and it's clear that the caretakers take great pride in preserving and maintaining the building. The stained glass windows are particularly impressive, and they provide a breathtaking backdrop to the church's services. Speaking of services, St. Nicholas' Church is a welcoming and inclusive community that offers a variety of worship experiences. Whether you're looking for a traditional church service or a more contemporary experience, you'll find something that suits you here. Overall, I would highly recommend St. Nicholas' Church to anyone looking for a beautiful and meaningful worship experience in Potsdam. The church is a true gem, and it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

1 year ago Joel- why does he think this place is on the list?

Very beautiful church. A bit hard to climb though

1 year ago Maria CJ: it is necessary to add to this place:

One of the main attractions in Potsdam. Near to the Hauptbahnhof. Beautiful Altar with 12 Apostles Painting

2 years ago antonios varzakiswrote only this about this place:

is a Lutheran church under the Evangelical Church in Berlin. was built to plans by Karl Friedrich Schinkel in the years 1830 to 1837 It was designed to replace the old St. Nicholas church that burned down in 1795. Christopher Wren’s acclaimed St. Paul’s Cathedral in London inspired the Classicist church with Italian flair. The church’s appearance was completely altered when the dome was added between 1843 and 1850. The dramatic tambour is 77 meters high and interior is 52 meters high.Towards the end of the Second World War, the church was hit during the British air raid on Potsdam and subsequently badly damaged by Soviet artillery fire. After many years of rebuilding the church was re-consecrated in 1981 by the Evangelical Parish of St. Nicholas, Potsdam

2. place belongs to Filmpark Babelsberg

Filmpark Babelsberg
We rate the place at 7.4/10!. This place was visited and rated 4645-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago zhen wangwrote only this for this place:

No more than 3 stars. I heard about this park several years ago and I think it should be one of the best Filmpark in the world. However, when I came here, I can't recommend it to be honest. Reason: 1. You have to wait for soooo long for some activities. Like the theater. It is so rediculous that we wait for 45min for such in experience. It should be more well managed. 2. The food is so bad. You can charge a lot, it is fine. But you shall also provide some proper food. The kids box is not even enough for a 5 years kid to eat. 3. The park is really small. I think 3hours is totally enough. Highlights: Stuntshow is quit good, so the there are2.5 out if 3 stars is given to the show.

2 years ago Terence Hillwrote only this about this place:

I visited the Filmpark back in 2017 with my Mom. It is a really Fun place to visit - my Mom and I had a blast. We spend several hours exploring the entire Park. My favorite was seeing all the Characters from the Sandman and the Set where they where just Filming Jim Knopf Movie (Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver) I grew up in German and as a Kid I watched the original. The same goes for the Sandman. I watched that every night. This brought back so many fun memories. This Park is worth the visit in my opinion. Especially if you can relate to some of the Characters in the Park. We at in one of the Restaurants and the Food was good. Hopefully on my next visit to Berlin I will make another trip to the Park to see what has changed.

1 year ago Bożena Jwrote only this about this place:

Just an old scan...some attractions are not open, no information in advance as well no information about what times are which show. The worst food we ever eat!!!! Who plan the menu here?! Only one show with the motorbike was excellent. Everything else is just old or doesn't work. For the price of 89€ for the family - never again.

2 years ago Amy Phillipswrote only this about this place:

This was an interesting place. Not knowing anything about German television or movies was a draw back when visiting. My family still enjoyed the park especially the stunt show. Note everything is in German and hardly any staff speaks English.

2 years ago Abdul hamid Shaikhevaluates this place as follows:

It’s a nice location to spend time with kids and family and good waffles and 4 D Kino and Live Tv Shows and Stunt action was totally highlight it’s worth every cent what you Spend 👍🏽

Park is a nice place for a walk, jog, bike ride. Nice views over water. Walk to the top of the hill and you get a fantastic castle surprise. Lovely, sit and have a coffee or bowl of soup and enjoy the day

3 years ago Karlo Beyer- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Open 24/7, free entry to the park (an extra fee applies to some buildings), free restrooms, parking nearby. An exceptionally worthwhile excursion destination with many sights, lake views, wide panoramic views and very old trees. This palace park is an absolute highlight in Potsdam and highly recommended, it is not overly visited and offers many cozy places. A long history that can be experienced together with relaxing nature and a long lake shore, what an interesting place!

5 years ago Ksenia Titovaexplained best how he liked it:

One of the best places next to Berlin. It’s nice to come here to ride a bike, have a picnic 🧺 or just take a walk. Park has two castles 🏰 with opportunity to visit them. View from both of them very nice as you can see river, yachts and beautiful fields. There is one restaurant in the park just next to river. They have very tasty deserts and good seasonal menu. For autumn they usually serve delicious pumpkin soup.

1 year ago Balázs Tiszaiwrote only this for this place:

1 year ago Ana Veres: it is necessary to add to this place:
