10. place belongs to VNITROBLOCK

VNITROBLOCK
We give 8.8/10!. This place was visited and rated 915-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Dimitrios Demertzis- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Vnitroblock is a fantastic place to have brunch alone or with someone or even to work there. Many young creative people work or meet there. You get the feeling that the place is a meeting place. In addition to fantastic coffee and very good desserts, this place also offers pop-up shops and art exhibitions. There is an area where service takes place, it is very nice and accommodating. We didn't have to wait long like some people here claim. Of course things like this can vary, but it was still full and everything was on time. Definitely recommend this place.

1 year ago Lorene Faivre- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Modern place with lots of light, plants and mix of vintage furniture creating different sitting areas. Service is at the bar and there was quite a queue.

1 year ago Raoul Jean-Ray P.what can I say about this place?

Pretentious, dated, expensive and disappointingly polished. I walked around Holesovice for few hours and really enjoyed the laid-back vibes and interesting places. Which made Vnitroblock all the more disappointing. I was expecting a buzzing hub of creativity, with workshops, numerous small studios like Paris's “Les Frigos”, crafts exposed in a friendly chaos etc....Some websites described it as “Hip multi-functional space for all creative souls” and “warehouse artist concept”. Alas, what I found was more like a sanitized, Instagram-friendly “We-Work”-style co-working space, complete with industrial-themed lighting, red bricks, Feng-Shuied green plants and loud Eurobeat. The cafe serves the compulsory veggie burger, humus and ramen along with hand-picked organic craft bio cruelty free coffee beans + cute drawing on the foam. Seriously?? That’s all you could come up with? My concern is not just the utter lack of originality, but mainly that you reproduce a universal (and dated) brand of cool: by offering the same cliched products one can find in London’s Brick Lane or Tokyo’s Kichijoji, you contribute in the standardisation of taste, design etc…..How about pushing forward Czech style and culture instead of copying what’s already been done? Vnitroblock is a missed opportunity but has a fantastic potential: time to end self-congratulation and start a needed self-appraisal.

1 year ago Dušan Pavlovićwrote only this about this place:

The place is gorgeous and the general atmosphere is awesome (there was a painting class in progress while we were there and it amped the experience) but, it's all about the place and concept. The servers are very indifferent and uninterested while at the same time acting smug and elitistic (might be because they are all very young but it is what it is) and sadly the coffee is very average, borderline bad. We went out of our way to visit the place, and again, we are glad we did, but it could have been better.

1 year ago Barbora Musilovaexplained best how he liked it:

The place of this café is truly unique, beautiful and quite extraordinary - it's definitely worth the visit. Besides that, they have a nice coffee (bit probably not the best one you've ever tasted), cakes and also some brunch and lunch menu. During weekends may be difficult to find a free spot to sit, and probably the biggest disadvantage is surely the chaos they usually have concerning the orders - it happened to me several times that they've forget to prepare a part of my order etc...

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Lizanne Otterdijkevaluates this place as follows:

Cute cafe where you can drink a coffee between rows and rows of books! Had the hot chocolate and the coffee ouky douky, both were really good. There was a table next to the window, perfect for people watching.

1 year ago Anna Baesewrote only this for this place:

very cute location, it is a coffeeshop that also has lots of books! good and reasonably priced food and a great place to hang out with friends

1 year ago George TMBwhat can I say about this place?

Expected a bit more. It smells weird, it's kinda dirty, and the books are just useless bad literature with no real value. The coffee was very good, though, and that's the most important thing.

1 year ago Ricardo Ribeirowrote only this for this place:

A magic place, full of books and super cozy. Friendly staff, good prices. Tends to be packed after business hours. Excellent to relax and read during the day. A place full of history.

2 years ago Danesh Umaranidescribed this experience as follows:

Very good ambience and nice service. Food and drinks are well prepared too with a variety of options. Also available are plenty of books for reading while you are in the cafe.

Numerically, he has the 9.2/10!. This place was visited and rated 1204-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Milaevaluates this place as follows:

A pleasant cozy cafe with a good selection of breakfasts. The Eggs Benedict with salmon were very tasty and satisfying. The establishment has a wide selection of coffee. I really liked the dirty chai latte. The staff was friendly and attentive. Pleasant music was playing, setting a good mood. Visiting this place is a great way to start the day well.

1 year ago Ozan Akogluwrote only this about this place:

Nice cafe. Breakfast was delicious. I recommend Francin Breakfast. It comes with nice coffee and very delicious pastry/cake. Stuff is attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is good with a lovely music in the background (they were playing Cranberries and Travis 😊). Highly recommended.

1 year ago Souahow did he rate it?

I recommend!! The staff are so kind. The quantity was so generous and the food and drinks were so good! Would definitely go back.

1 year ago Liliia Hofmandescribed this experience as follows:

Came to check and try by seeing good reviews, but unfortunately I was disappointed.. obsluha - nic moc 3/10 Káva - dobra 7/10. Atmosphere 6/10. I’d not come again , sorry. It’s better to come to Acid coffee that is close .

1 year ago Andrei Bancilaevaluates this place as follows:

Coffee - I took the classic Cappuccino - was one of the best I ever had, especially when comparing to something like Starbucks. Service was great, they had no problems turning to English when seeing I couldn't we couldn't speak Czech. The atmosphere was great, about 90-100% full of people at all times, which strongly increased our confidence of going in there, seeing it was marked as a "popular" choice.

7. place gets Kavárna Liberál

Kavárna Liberál
Numerically, he has the 8.8/10!. This place was visited and rated 1462-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Nicci 92- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

I’m already used that this place has almost non existent service but today was ridiculous. We were sitting right in front of the bar and no one was even bringing us a menu for 20 minutes. They were busy cleaning tables for non existing future guests instead of attending the ones already here. Also everytime there is some other super young looking girls working there. They probably only hire school girls without any experience because it’s cheaper for them but it makes the service getting unacceptable. There should be at least some person who knows how to bring a menu 🙄 it’s sad because usually the food is pretty good but I’m not gonna waste my life watching some students not knowing how to do their job.

1 year ago Zlata GERGELOVA: it is necessary to add to this place:

Nice intellectual, hipster, student bar. We had a couple of beers which were tasty. The staff was a bit slow and toilets were dirty, no soap and nothing to dry your hands with. Downstairs are 2 rooms which you can privatise to hold a live music jam or birthday party.

2 years ago Alan Dolezalekexplained best how he liked it:

Great find. Home cooking, huge portions. Lamb soup was delicious as well as chicken with potatoes. Speedy wifi. Will definitely become my place to eat and have coffee. Store atmosphere is nice

1 year ago Şevval Bykwrote only this for this place:

We ate breakfast, dinner and sweets here. Everthing is perfect especially pear pie is just AMAZING. Crossiants are perfect even tomatos were delicious in the crossiant. We advise all dishes.

1 year ago jose migueldescribed this experience as follows:

The service is of the worst that I’ve seen in Prague. I think the owner always gets people with zero experience. I spent 20 minutes waiting to at least get the menu. People only ordering coffees, half of the people are just working with laptops not even ordering and the waiter, always a different person, overwhelmed with 5 coffees. We left since we didn’t get attended in those 20 minutes.

6. place definitely deserves THE FARM

THE FARM
We rate 8.6/10!. This place was visited and rated 1492-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Ludger Röhmsaid the following about this gem:

I love this place. I go there for brunch after ice bathing on weekends. The warm cooked and slightly exotic brunch, the freshly pressed orange juice, the coffee. I love it all. The staff is genuinely friendly and open for a quick chat and banter. They just have a way of making you feel welcome. I wholeheartedly recommend it and take all my friends here too when they come for a visit.

1 year ago Raashi Metkariexplained best how he liked it:

One of the all time favourite cafés. High quality coffee with a filling generous portion of English Breakfast. Staff is English friendly too.

1 year ago Peter Brichs- why does he think this place is on the list?

Such a nice place! The staff was super nice, and the food tastes good with really good sized portions. We had the Eggs Benedict and Waffles with scrambled eggs. It barely took 5 minutes from order to table, and everything felt freshly made; maybe the waffle was pre-made. The English muffin for the Eggs Benedict didn't feel toasted, which surprised me, but it did taste good still. We also had Cold Brew coffee (delicious), Raspberry Lemonade (also very delicious) and a bottled Kombucha (was a bit boring, but that's def. not The Farm's fault). For my fellow Neurodivergents: The music was maybe a tad loud, but I personally enjoyed the loungy covers of classic 80's and 90's pop music. The acoustics with many people in the same room was a bit too much, but there are plenty of smaller rooms (plus an outdoors area) to spread customers out; but maybe avoid peak hours if you don't do well with noise.

1 year ago Chris94tophwhat can I say about this place?

So delicious wow. Awesome staff. Incredibly friendly 🥰. They can even speak German. Very helpful. We felt very welcoming. Thank you so much 🙏🏻

3 years ago Regards Shonevaluates this place as follows:

The English breakfast is nice but the bacon is streaky and very salty. The coffee and orange juice were both quite bitter, but both fresh. Many tables were reserved but we were still seated at one. The crepe was nice and the apple compote was very sweet. The oat pancakes were good. The place looked as though it had some tables and chairs thrown together, but the staff were pleasant.

5. place definitely deserves Cobra

The food, drinks, service and atmosphere, everything is 5*! Do not hesitate to visit and spend nice time in Cobra bar

1 year ago Lila Azorinwrote only this for this place:

What a cool spot. Chic, high end grunge feel to the place. Excellent music, I thought it turned into a bit of a dance vibe later but it did not. The food was good. The cocktails brilliant, they make off menu classics as well. Highly recommend for a cool night out with friends or on a date.

1 year ago Alex Xueyan Feng: it is necessary to add to this place:

A visit to this delightful cocktail bar! The chorizo spread and hummus are palate-pleasing and wonderfully flavorful. Combined with the pleasant music and inviting ambiance, it’s a place I’m eager to revisit.

Good brunch place. Limited menu but all good selections. Very not flexible to change or customize. We had omelet, Turkish egg and fluffy sweet choice. All good. Recommended. Close to park and stadium.

1 year ago Lizanne Otterdijkhow did he rate it?

Went out of our way to visit this place after reading the reviews and it's definitely worth it. It's small inside, so only a few tables, we got seated at a tiny table but after some other people left allowed us to move to a bigger table instead. There's only a few breakfast dishes on the menu, but theres sweet and savory both. We had the omelette with bread, so simple but so so yummy. Also got lemonade which came in a big glass and cappuccino. Servers are friendly and the interior of the Cafe just brings the atmosphere to another level.

1 year ago Tabea D- why does he think this place is on the list?

During our visit to Prague we definitely enjoyed our coffee and cake at Cafe Letka! The vegan banana cake was perfect - and maybe there will be more vegan options in the future? :)) We would for sure come back again! The atmosphere is calm but lively, perfect to read a book, chat with friends or just look around. The service is very young and kind, and we felt welcomed :) Also the prices were totally fine!

1 year ago Ellen Ní Uiginndescribed this experience as follows:

Lovely spot. Very nice interior. Laid-back feel. Got two coffees and two baked goods. Some of the best we had on our holiday! Would recommend.

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Přemysl Randákevaluates this place as follows:

One of my favorite beers 🍺 (Únětice brewery) are served here. But it seems that we really bother local personnel and since the kitchen wasn't opened after 8pm, we got this salad with exactly 4 pieces of smoked salmon for 170,- CZK (7 EUR).

1 year ago anna appletonovawrote only this about this place:

horrible, 180,- crowns just for a few pieces of lettuce and some salmon.. service wasn’t the best, saying that something on the menu wasn’t on the menu and didn’t even exist. i dont recommend

You decide. First meal I haven’t finished for awhile. Nice beer though.

1 year ago Thomas Friedmannwrote only this about this place:

very unfriendly person (tall guy, no hair) at the beer tab. you might be rather going to „lokal“ up the hill to be treated like a human being…i don’t get why someone let this kind of attitude happening towards guests by an employee. 2 stars for the good beer. thank you 🙏🏻

2. place gets BIO OKO

BIO OKO
We rate the place at 9.2/10!. This place was visited and rated 2919-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Leila Mekhdi- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Very hipster’ish place, but their seats are too uncomfortable 😣 watching Killers of the Flower Moon there (3,5 hrs) was not the best decision 😅

1 year ago Teemuu MGLevaluates this place as follows:

Had a Blind movie day today! I was so excited and I am grateful that they organised some events like this I’ve enjoyed the movie. Thank you! but I didn’t like the chairs. It was very old and during the movie my butt started hurting maybe they need a reconstruction 👌

1 year ago Erich Telleria- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Movie is fine. You chose according to your preference. But the service at the bar, today 03.11.23, I’m trying to understand why the staff behave like they are doing us a favor.

1 year ago Adam Nógellexplained best how he liked it:

Great cinema. I like the absence of seating order (you can sit wherever is a free seat). There are also deck chairs available in the first row and a car (yes a real car) you can sit inside. You can also bring drinks from the bar inside the cinema which is a huge plus.

1 year ago Kristýna Vacardová- why does he think this place is on the list?

A really nice and cozy small cinema, without assigned seats and with a fine bar, so you can take the drinks inside with you. But sometimes during the summer the inside is really stuffy and overly hot and uncomfortable.

1. place is occupied by DOX Centre for Contemporary Art

DOX Centre for Contemporary Art
We give 9.2/10!. This place was visited and rated 4614-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago dmmax mewrote only this about this place:

I was attracted by other reviews/photos on Google Map to visit this place. However, during my visit I felt awkward because of some psychedelic exhibitions. The center usually has a few small exhibitions and you can check on the website if you like the topics which are shown currently. I wish I knew that before my visit. The staff was friendly and speak well English. There also was a shop and a cafe.

1 year ago Joost Baaij- why does he think this place is on the list?

I recently visited the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, drawn by the allure of modern art. Upon entering, I was greeted by a sea of concrete — an austere setting that framed the 2D pieces on the walls. The art, while intriguing, felt a bit daunting and at times monotonous. I even ventured into a screening, hoping for a spark of engagement, but found myself longing for more. The location was convenient, and I easily parked on the street nearby (paid, of course). A stroll led me to Holešovice Market, a lively place in the vicinity, adding a dash of vibrancy to the day. But it was the DOX's rooftop that truly captured my imagination. A zeppelin perched high above, a fascinating contrast to the rigid lines below. This whimsical touch lingered in my mind, a beacon of creativity in an otherwise stern environment. If you're a lover of modern art and appreciate a minimalist setting, DOX might be for you. For me, it was the unexpected — the zeppelin, the nearby Holešovice Market — that turned a potentially dull outing into something memorable. It's a place where the concrete speaks as loudly as the art, and where imagination takes flight on the rooftop.

1 year ago David Pesek SANANIM- why does he think this place is on the list?

Beautiful contemporary gallery always packed with interesting exhibitions. We visited among others the exhibition of young Czech artist Jan Vytiska (*1985): The Ritual of Cursed Hearts. Really interesting combination of archetypal creatures and folclor. There is a really nice bookstore, where you can buy jewelry, porcelain, books etc. of new Czech artists. Airship on the roof as bonus. Definitely recommend, definitely a place to come back and keep coming.

1 year ago Sam Budhdevsaid the following about this gem:

Always a great experience. Well worth a visit. Entry is 280kč for a standard ticket. Students and children have discounts. DOX has a website showing the featured artists and themes which I recommend checking first. This visit. Interactive film about the war in Ukraine really was worth the entry fee alone. The other exhibitions were also fantastic. If you like contemporary art, then I would recommend visiting.

1 year ago Tobias Hwhat can I say about this place?

I recently had the pleasure of visiting an art gallery that left me utterly captivated and inspired. The exhibition, held at DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, was a truly immersive experience that seamlessly blended creativity, technology, and human emotion. From the moment I stepped through the gallery's entrance, I was greeted by an atmosphere that transcended traditional art spaces. The lighting was artfully designed to highlight each piece while maintaining an overall ambience that enhanced the viewer's mood. The layout of the exhibition was well-thought-out, guiding visitors through a carefully curated journey of artistic expression. One of the standout features was the incorporation of multimedia elements. Several installations combined visual art with audio, creating an almost ethereal effect. As I moved from piece to piece, I could hear subtle soundscapes that resonated with the art's themes, further immersing me in the artist's world. This thoughtful combination of mediums elevated the experience and made it more than just a visual encounter. What truly set this gallery apart was the interaction encouraged between the art and the audience. Instead of just passive observation, some installations invited viewers to participate, blurring the lines between creator and spectator. This participatory aspect not only deepened my connection to the artwork but also fostered a sense of community among visitors as we shared our interpretations and reactions. The diversity of the artwork on display was also remarkable. Traditional paintings hung alongside contemporary digital pieces, sculptures, and even interactive virtual reality experiences. This eclectic mix ensured that there was something for every art enthusiast, regardless of their preferred medium or style. In conclusion, my visit to DOX Centre for Contemporary Art was an unforgettable journey into the world of art. The blend of traditional and modern approaches, the integration of multimedia, and the interactive nature of the experience all combined to create a truly immersive and captivating environment. If you're looking for an art gallery that goes beyond the conventional and offers a transformative encounter with creativity, I wholeheartedly recommend paying a visit to this remarkable gallery.
