2 years ago Y. C.said the following about this gem:Everything is in Czech, you need to use google translation, but it’s fine —— the collection is AMAZING and you MUST VISIT THIS! They have tour guide but we were in a rush so didn’t ask for it, otherwise the visit could be nicer :) + SUPER friendly staff. The granny was so sweet and we felt super welcomed :) + can use credit card and they have some cool souvenir, but you need to purchase before 5:30 otherwise may miss a chance to buy. + They have a nice garden! It’s really beautiful, it’s a nice walk to walk through the garden to the museum. + AMAZING collection! They have many folk art and fancy clothes for you to discover. I was amazed by the handicraft (the glass bottle with decoration inside)! It’s soooo pretty. + Super clean toilet! + FREE LOCKERS! - Description is in Czech… I would like to know more. Books are also in Czech, would like to purchase a book about folk arts or Czech traditions in English
1 year ago Katherine E Birchexplained best how he liked it:Great museum to visit if you want to learn about Czech folk culture! I really enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly despite the language barriers and the museum is very appropriately priced. Unfortunately, all of the information about each artifact you will see is in Czech. However, upon entering each exhibit room you will see a large frame (sometimes around the doors) that provides information in English, giving you a general sense of what the room has to offer. I also am surprised to see that the lockers were free-- they tried to charge me one euro to use it... but ended up allowing me to have it for free when I did not have any euros on me, whoops. I guess that could be a testament to how nice the staff are! Regardless, I think this is a really neat sight to see in Prague and recommend it!
1 year ago Bruce Duncan: it is necessary to add to this place:Enthusiastic staff, well laid out, duel language discriptions. Though no evidence of the original internal decoration remains a nice period villa to walk through. Includes a good shop, and a cafe.
