We had our Xmas party there recently. If this is not one of the best venues I have even seen I don’t know what is. I wish everyone had the chance to see it. Huge staircase, chandelier, statues, columns, paintings..it has it all

5 years ago Giovanni Maria Ruggiero- why does he think this place is on the list?

Neo Renaissance and neo baroque conference Hall builded in the end of XIX century recreating the architectonic style of previous ages in a nostalgic vein. Inside luxurious and spacious, very apt for conferences as was my experience while attending a psychology international congress. An ample main hall and some secondary halls and rooms are the components of the estate.

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Travis Davidswrote only this about this place:

One of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had as it puts you directly in the shoes of someone who is blind. You’ll spend 1 hour with on a guided tour in a completely dark room. You’re guided by someone who is also blind and you’ll have to navigate through various rooms identifying different objects using your sense of touch which is vitally important. This experience made me realise how privileged I am to still have my sight but it also made me realise how the visually impaired and blind are capable of adapting to their circumstances. My guide was born blind. He was extremely engaging to interact with. I’m so happy to know that job opportunities have been created for them as well. I can guarantee you this experience will be something you’ll never forget. There’s also a room with various games that the blind can play, watches with brail and audio cues and even a typewriter that they can use. It’s extremely interesting 👍🏽👍🏽

1 year ago Matthew Chin: it is necessary to add to this place:

We had a super nice experience in this exhibition. You can experience playing chess with the mask on before the tour. During the tour, we entered the room in complete darkness. The guide was very nice and spoke fluent English. I really recommend this experience in Prague.

1 year ago Stephanie Russellwhat can I say about this place?

Loved this immersive experience! We were taken through a series of rooms and outside situations in the dark by a guide that was blind. She was lovely and very helpful and supportive in making sure we were comfortable. An experience to remember, something very unique that certainly made us think! Would highly recommend!

1 year ago Tatiana Kenexplained best how he liked it:

The best exhibition in Prague!!! I would rate it 20/20 if I could. You must visit it if you’re not afraid of darkness, or don’t suffer from claustrophobia. It’s way better to come with your partner or friend, rather than with a group. We are really grateful and thankful to Andrew, who was our guide for the whole hour. He is very polite and kind, and has a wonderful knowledge of English. He answered all our questions, and showed us the world of blind people. Price for two people was 660 CZK in English + 100 CZK for espresso and juice. It’s worth it!!! I’d even pay x2 more. I am very happy that there’s such a wonderful project in Prague. We’ll definitely come back ❤️

11 months ago Martina Villawhat can I say about this place?

The tour was incredible and Andrew was extremely informative and managed to make it a memorable and fascinating experience. Would definitely go if in Prague again.

8. place - National Memorial to the Heroes of the Heydrich Terror

National Memorial to the Heroes of the Heydrich Terror
Numerically, he has the 9.6/10!. This place was visited and rated 2009-times

What our travelers says:

11 months ago Kristýna Vacardová: it is necessary to add to this place:

Sure, the memorial could be a bit more modern and informative in other ways than just long texts on the walls, but it's still an extraordinary place. The admission is free, you can get to know the story well if you're willing to read through it, and visiting the crypt where the parachutists had been hiding and fighting is a special experience.

10 months ago Joyce James- why does he think this place is on the list?

A very moving tribute to the 7 men who lost their lives trying to help change the German infiltration. The church was the haven for the men and you can see where they tried to hide them and learn about the disturbing consequences of protecting them. It's a free museum and worth a visit to here something about the history of the area.

1 year ago Davis D. Janowski- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

It was a visceral, telling museum and memorial. It should be visited by everyone coming to Prague. Far too few tourists understand what Czechia went through during the war and what it lost.

1 year ago Jen Mackinnonsaid the following about this gem:

An absolutely fantastic experience. More moving than any of the other big museums we visited. There is a unique story behind this location and it is well told through the displays and they also offer free literature and postcards. You could spend between 20 minutes and 1 hour here. Everything is contained to 2 small rooms so unlike other tourist attractions there is not a lot of walking required to enjoy the exhibit. Thank you to the staff who were very friendly and welcoming during our visit.

1 year ago Tommy Iceevaluates this place as follows:

Albeit a small museum, this is worthy comprehending the level of resistance amongst the Checz elite against the oppressor. The display of the effort of members of operation "Anthropoid" highlights the necessity of the actions against the destructive force that was eradicating the Europe of its civility and culture.

7. place is occupied by Saints Peter and Paul Basilica

Saints Peter and Paul Basilica
We give 9.6/10!. This place was visited and rated 2636-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Ajay Kumarevaluates this place as follows:

Saint Peter's Basilica in Vatican City stands as a majestic testament to human achievement, faith, and artistic brilliance. This iconic basilica is an awe-inspiring destination that captivates visitors with its grandeur, breathtaking architecture, and spiritual significance. Approaching Saint Peter's Basilica, one is immediately struck by its immense size and striking beauty. The facade, adorned with intricate details and magnificent sculptures, sets the stage for the wonder that lies within. As the largest Christian church in the world, the basilica's sheer scale is awe-inspiring and leaves a lasting impression.

1 year ago Ish Dee: it is necessary to add to this place:

This cathedral is situated on a rocky promontory above the Vltava River, with a 360* stunning view. The huge park holds a good amount of original Baroque statues from the Charles Bridge by Prague Castle. 3 km from Prague and walking distance from the Holiday Inn Congress Center, where I spent my two nights in the Czech. The national cemetery Slavín stands next to this cathedral and holds the underground casements. The total length of this walk was about one Km round trip from where I parked. The was full of picnic mode, I was told the nationals often conduct Tea ceremonies.

10 months ago MyungHwan Park (Jerry): it is necessary to add to this place:

Such a nice place to go. And nearby you can see a beautiful sunset of the city and the river.

1 year ago MrKingluke663said the following about this gem:

Absolutely stunning and breathtaking, size of this building alone makes you feel tiny. The walk up isn’t too bad and the courtyard and surrounding areas are lovely

1 year ago Lucy Peakedescribed this experience as follows:

The interior is absolutely stunning. This is a place you should prioritise on your Prague to do list. I had the place to myself for a full 15 minutes, which was a lovely reprieve from the usual bustle of tourists in other churches. Located in the beautiful Vysehrad Park, a visit to the Basilicia is the perfect quiet afternoon activity.

What our travelers says:

1 year ago Amanda Burtonevaluates this place as follows:

Amazing Museum to commemorate the Czech parachutists who died in the crypt of the church as part of Operation Anthropoid. A moving and informative exhibition. Beautiful church where much of the fighting took place, now restored but there is also a small memorial area outside where the bullet holes from the fighting remain. This is a free exhibition.

11 months ago Kristýna Vacardováwhat can I say about this place?

Maybe it's because we visited when it was dark already and the whole place was candlelit, bringing absolutely magical atmosphere, but the whole visit was truly special. Add the history of the church, and you have a really moving experience. Free entry. Definitely don't miss the memorial underneath.

1 year ago Jennifer Hoffman- why does he think this place is on the list?

Anyone who has a respect and desire to know, see, and experience history needs to visit here! Here is where the men who rose up to fight against the evils of WWII met their horrible fate. They were honorable, strong men...the type we need in our world today. It is free and they have done such an excellent job creating the museum beneath the church.

10 months ago Joyce Jamesexplained best how he liked it:

We visited the church as this is the start of the national memorial for the service men that were hidden in the crypt of the church during the war. You need to go downstairs to find out their story and see where they were kept. A very interesting but sad story but good to know some of the local history

1 year ago S B- why does he think this place is on the list?

Amazing memorial to Czech Parachutists trapped in crypt of the Church Free entry free literature and the staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble for them a must see beautiful memorial to the brave Czech soldiers in World War 2.

1 year ago Nataliia Bogutska- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Gorgeous gothic style Bazillica. Very cool in the summer time. Going in as if you enter a cave with very cool air. Beautiful stained glass windows, iconostases, and overall very peaceful atmosphere like the church should have.

What our travelers says:

11 months ago Michelle Hayessaid the following about this gem:

Lovely little garden oasis! The orchid exhibit was outstanding - the cactus & succulent exhibition was also very well done. The gardens outside are nice to stroll through, too. Highly recommend. Affordable, too.

1 year ago Robin Irwin- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

A beautiful garden that attracts artists, young and old to enjoy the gardens and the greenhouses. There is a wide variety of plants and squirrels can be seen. It is a great spot to find peace and tranquility in a sonetimes busy capital city. It is great to visit and mostly free except the greenhouse which costs 100 CZK.

1 year ago Emma Fössing: it is necessary to add to this place:

Outside (free) is nice to walk around, inside also very nice (100czk, for students 50czk). There are birds in very small cages, which is pretty sad, but I do not know what exactly their needs are and what the circumstances of them being there are. Plants are all nice though! Describtions are only in Czech unfortunately.

1 year ago Colin Gagich: it is necessary to add to this place:

Great place to visit and take pictures. There's so many rare plants and the gardens are well maintained. The greenhouse has a fee and isn't open as late as the grounds, I didn't realize this until I got there and it was closed. It's open until 4:30pm so plan ahead! The birds are friendly and fun to interact with.

1 year ago Marco Alfonzoevaluates this place as follows:

Beautiful batanic garden with a comprenhensive variety of plants from around the world. There's also an open permanet Geology exhibit with minerals from different regions of the country that I found kind of unique. Admission to the outdoor areas is for free and  100 crowns (only cash) to the green house. Perfect to get away from the crowds and relax.

What our travelers says:

11 months ago Hannah Smithexplained best how he liked it:

Lovely little town. Quite clean. Lots of shops but like any town really. Christmas market in Peace square was just getting started when we went but it had some lovely little bits. Only took a couple of min from the centre of Prague by train and only took 15 min to walk back.

11 months ago Michelle Hayesevaluates this place as follows:

Christmas Market is open! Great local trinkets and food. Check out the Italian cheese vendor for yummy cheese and salami. 50kr deposit for reusable cups for hot wine…Love this!

11 months ago Mark A: it is necessary to add to this place:

It's always a must visit, but specially when the Christmas market is there, In front of this beautiful cathedral. Obiously try to avoid weekends or peak hours if you want to enjoy it better. And check prices. I have nothing against the people driving their business in the Christmas market, they are paying money to be there and needs to be profitable, but some prices specially for food or drinks are abusive. Just take care.

10 months ago Magdalena Blazheskadescribed this experience as follows:

A very nice little square with a beautiful cathedral with free entry and a lovely Christmas market.

10 months ago Lew Hitchenwhat can I say about this place?

Beautiful Christmas market, slightly outside of the main drag in Prague but worth the short tube journey.

2. place is occupied by Vyšehrad

Vyšehrad
We give 9.6/10!. This place was visited and rated 44590-times

What our travelers says:

10 months ago Keren Oliverosevaluates this place as follows:

Peaceful and beautiful place in Prague. It’s a bit far from the main squares and bridges which makes it even nicer because it doesn’t get as busy. You can also enjoy some coffee at one of the cafes. Visiting the church is a must! The paintings on the walls and ceiling are completely different from the rest in the city, one of the most beautiful I’ve seen personally. Overall, this place is lovely!

10 months ago Isa Z (Isa Zeynal)described this experience as follows:

Unbelievable! Amazing view to the city and riverside. The church with black exterior colour is exciting and worth to visit if you are in Vienna. Entrance is free Monuments next to church are amazing piece of art which completes this masterpiece

1 year ago Nat Rose: it is necessary to add to this place:

What a magnificent place to visit in Prague. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Different parts of the area will give you different views of Prague. It is free to come and enjoy this beautiful place! Plenty of green areas for picnics, benches to recuperate, and fall colors to enjoy the fall vibes. Did I say it's free!? Plenty of area to wind down. I highly recommend visiting this place if you're ever in Prague--it is so worth it.

11 months ago ჭეჭიკო: it is necessary to add to this place:

Vyšehrad is a very beautiful church , with nearby chemistry and view points. The church is breath taking. The chemistry is gloomy but the atmosphere is very pleasant. If you have press card it will not work on entrance, you will still have to pay but is is worth it. Must visit if you are in Prague.

1 year ago Keri Thibeau- why does he think this place is on the list?

Walking around the entire area including the church and cemetery are all 100% worth it. The view is amazing and it is definitely quieter during the week. Because it's away from the center of Prague it allows for some quiet and just enjoying the scenery. Highly recommend adding this to your itinerary when visiting Prague.

1. place is occupied by Dancing House

Dancing House
Definitely deserves 8.6/10!. This place was visited and rated 50705-times

What our travelers says:

10 months ago Matteo Tomassettiwrote only this for this place:

This was one of my favorite stays in Prague and a bucket list item for a long time! The building is stunning and if you stay there you even get a free ticket to get to the 8th floor rooftop to take panoramic pictures. The views are incredible and if you have the chance to get there I would recommend the morning or sunset to get the best lighting. The staff were incredibly nice and store our luggage a bit before check-in and after check-out so we could explore the city without the hassle of carrying our bags. The rooms are modern and very comfortable.

10 months ago Ensar SEKERwhat can I say about this place?

The Dancing House in Prague definitely stands out with its unique and modern architectural design. Its whimsical shape, reminiscent of a dancing couple, makes for a striking contrast against the city's traditional architecture. From an architectural perspective, it's a fascinating building that captures the imagination and definitely merits a few photos. However, as a tourist attraction, the Dancing House falls a bit short. The building is primarily used for office spaces, which means there isn't much for tourists to explore inside. Apart from a small gallery and a restaurant, there are limited attractions for visitors who might be expecting an in-depth experience or a tour related to the building's design and history. While it's worth a quick stop for those interested in modern architecture, tourists should be aware that it's not a place where you can spend a lot of time. The exterior is the main draw, and once you've taken in the unique design, there's not much else to see. Overall, it's an interesting spot for a brief visit, but don't plan your day around it.

10 months ago Paul Deanevaluates this place as follows:

Beautiful view, if you can bear the queue and drink prices. I would recommend it without a doubt. Made a perfect end to the day.

1 year ago Jelilat Kareemwrote only this about this place:

Before going, I imagined the building to be exceptional, but really, it's just another building across the street that loks slightly different from other buildings. The cafe in the building is nice, but not overpriced. I only wished that the cafe IN the Dancing building would have some designs or artifacts that denote that it's a special building.

1 year ago Khalid Alanazisaid the following about this gem:

Very ordinary place and it's normal I don't know why people consider it as landmark in Prague. In this place there is a bar in the rooftop. Lots of tourists come to take photos of this building. I hope they develop it for good looking with the time. Not recommended to visit if you just want to see it.
