1 year ago Michael Mackexplained best how he liked it:

Great place to watch a concert. We went for the 90s explosion this past weekend. Plenty of room, food, drinks. Great experience. Great fun.

1 year ago Bitter Moonevaluates this place as follows:

The show was enjoyable but a bit too long and somehow repetetive. A lot of fire play was involved - we were expecting more water based theme. After all, it is a fountain. The actual place is not only very hard to find when it's dark with very little light from the few street lamps available but the vicinity was totally deserted even before 9pm (we were in doubt if there really was a major event on or not) to the point we were afraid we might get mugged (junkies, nasty dogs etc). I don't remember when was the last time I felt so unsafe while walking out in early evening with some male company. That part of Prague is simply not nice. Check the map before you go, ask the driver to bring you as close as possible and clearly point out the direction to go. Look carefully for signs. Once you find the first one, the next few will follow. However, if you miss it, you might be running all over the place like we did. Absolutely do not use Googlemaps. You will end up in a very dark street 12 min away from the actual place. Mind boggling. Mayor of Prague - have some more lamps installed please and also have some police available in the area after dark. The whole area is a total disgrace!

4 years ago Miroslav Singerevaluates this place as follows:

Half-metronom. Perhaps one of the last concerts of this f...n covid Fall. One of the must see for any fan of more recent architecture of Prague. And the band is Kafka band. Also must see. Just see photos and use youtube to sample.

1 year ago Marko Milenkovicdescribed this experience as follows:

Went to see Ben Bohmer again at the Krizik Fountain and as always he is an absolutely brillint musician. The venue is amazing as well with decent sound, fun water fountains and many drink options

1 year ago Elena Strakovasaid the following about this gem:

Been to Ben Böhmer concert, Sasazu killed it too! It was a beautiful location perfect for anyonr looking for a meaningful memoryand experience

What our travelers says:

10 months ago Ihor Zeiger- why does he think this place is on the list?

One of the best art museums I visited lately. Many interesting exhibitions with emphasis on Czech art and huge collection of French art of XIX and XX century.

10 months ago Alenka Ishutinawrote only this for this place:

a beautiful, spacious building with a lot of exhibitions. as permanent exhibitions - everything was fine. but we also paid 170 CZK for visiting the photography festival floor. however, there were no photographs, there were cardboard walls with video recordings. If you are a fan of something like this, this is the place for you. We really regretted that we didn’t look at the reviews in advance.

1 year ago Marketa Kimlova- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Beautiful big gallery with famous paintings from Picasso, Monet and others. Descriptions in Czech and English. Nice and big cafe near the entrance. Nice and friendly staff. You can leave your things in the locker (cloak room). You need at least 3 hours to see the whole gallery and visit all floors.

1 year ago Christian Harris- why does he think this place is on the list?

Amazing museum. It’s so much bigger than I expected, currently three huge floors filled with art. I was impressed that it covered everything thing from 1800 to today and all the movements. All major artists are shown (to some extent). Ticket price is very reasonable and facilities are good. Highly recommend, and will take several hours to cover properly.

1 year ago Martin Mihálikevaluates this place as follows:

Great exhibitions. The ones which are always on display is the art from the time of the first republic 1918 -1938, other floor is dedicated to 19th century painters, amongst which you can find Picasso or Monet. However the building itself is a piece of art, specifically functionalistic architecture art. Totally recommend the visit!

8. place is occupied by DOX Centre for Contemporary Art

DOX Centre for Contemporary Art
Numerically, he has the 9.2/10!. This place was visited and rated 4613-times

What our travelers says:

10 months ago dmmax mewrote only this about this place:

I was attracted by other reviews/photos on Google Map to visit this place. However, during my visit I felt awkward because of some psychedelic exhibitions. The center usually has a few small exhibitions and you can check on the website if you like the topics which are shown currently. I wish I knew that before my visit. The staff was friendly and speak well English. There also was a shop and a cafe.

1 year ago Joost Baaij: it is necessary to add to this place:

I recently visited the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, drawn by the allure of modern art. Upon entering, I was greeted by a sea of concrete — an austere setting that framed the 2D pieces on the walls. The art, while intriguing, felt a bit daunting and at times monotonous. I even ventured into a screening, hoping for a spark of engagement, but found myself longing for more. The location was convenient, and I easily parked on the street nearby (paid, of course). A stroll led me to Holešovice Market, a lively place in the vicinity, adding a dash of vibrancy to the day. But it was the DOX's rooftop that truly captured my imagination. A zeppelin perched high above, a fascinating contrast to the rigid lines below. This whimsical touch lingered in my mind, a beacon of creativity in an otherwise stern environment. If you're a lover of modern art and appreciate a minimalist setting, DOX might be for you. For me, it was the unexpected — the zeppelin, the nearby Holešovice Market — that turned a potentially dull outing into something memorable. It's a place where the concrete speaks as loudly as the art, and where imagination takes flight on the rooftop.

1 year ago David Pesek SANANIMwrote only this about this place:

Beautiful contemporary gallery always packed with interesting exhibitions. We visited among others the exhibition of young Czech artist Jan Vytiska (*1985): The Ritual of Cursed Hearts. Really interesting combination of archetypal creatures and folclor. There is a really nice bookstore, where you can buy jewelry, porcelain, books etc. of new Czech artists. Airship on the roof as bonus. Definitely recommend, definitely a place to come back and keep coming.

1 year ago Sam Budhdevexplained best how he liked it:

Always a great experience. Well worth a visit. Entry is 280kč for a standard ticket. Students and children have discounts. DOX has a website showing the featured artists and themes which I recommend checking first. This visit. Interactive film about the war in Ukraine really was worth the entry fee alone. The other exhibitions were also fantastic. If you like contemporary art, then I would recommend visiting.

1 year ago Tobias Hevaluates this place as follows:

I recently had the pleasure of visiting an art gallery that left me utterly captivated and inspired. The exhibition, held at DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, was a truly immersive experience that seamlessly blended creativity, technology, and human emotion. From the moment I stepped through the gallery's entrance, I was greeted by an atmosphere that transcended traditional art spaces. The lighting was artfully designed to highlight each piece while maintaining an overall ambience that enhanced the viewer's mood. The layout of the exhibition was well-thought-out, guiding visitors through a carefully curated journey of artistic expression. One of the standout features was the incorporation of multimedia elements. Several installations combined visual art with audio, creating an almost ethereal effect. As I moved from piece to piece, I could hear subtle soundscapes that resonated with the art's themes, further immersing me in the artist's world. This thoughtful combination of mediums elevated the experience and made it more than just a visual encounter. What truly set this gallery apart was the interaction encouraged between the art and the audience. Instead of just passive observation, some installations invited viewers to participate, blurring the lines between creator and spectator. This participatory aspect not only deepened my connection to the artwork but also fostered a sense of community among visitors as we shared our interpretations and reactions. The diversity of the artwork on display was also remarkable. Traditional paintings hung alongside contemporary digital pieces, sculptures, and even interactive virtual reality experiences. This eclectic mix ensured that there was something for every art enthusiast, regardless of their preferred medium or style. In conclusion, my visit to DOX Centre for Contemporary Art was an unforgettable journey into the world of art. The blend of traditional and modern approaches, the integration of multimedia, and the interactive nature of the experience all combined to create a truly immersive and captivating environment. If you're looking for an art gallery that goes beyond the conventional and offers a transformative encounter with creativity, I wholeheartedly recommend paying a visit to this remarkable gallery.

7. place gets Sea World

Sea World

What our travelers says:

11 months ago Bastian Haltofsaid the following about this gem:

Cool place, would recommend, don’t listen to the people that said that it takes 10 minues to complete. Those reviews were written by parents with impatient children. If you really take your time to observe the fish it’s going to take you around 45-60 minutes. We had a lot of fun.

1 year ago Nada Yasserdescribed this experience as follows:

The place is nice with a variety of fish species. It's great especially if you have kids. It's also a bit small and has no open ocean exhibition.

1 year ago Hesham Kamal: it is necessary to add to this place:

Very nice, it’s a bit small but have a good variety of fish

1 year ago Martin Strakasaid the following about this gem:

Nice aquarium, pack of interesting fish including small sharks. As it is close to planetarium, you can combine these two visits. It is fine and especially kids will like it. It's not that big and 40-45 minutes will be sufficient for a visit. However, it's quite expensive for a family visit

1 year ago Ashleigh Pye- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Very small, just one circle, good for kids of a young age but most is what you would see in an aquatics store. Way too expensive for what it is, in my opinion, you are better off going to the zoo for the whole day which only was 250kc each than go here for 10 minutes which cost 620kc each. The zoo was fantastic.

Good view of the city. Be careful in the winter, the ground is covered with marble and snow which makes it very slippery

11 months ago ka wai Wongdescribed this experience as follows:

A place to enjoy the view of Prague city from the height point.

1 year ago Stephen Digbyexplained best how he liked it:

Metronome is not currently working. Cannot find any explanation. Metronome is a simple mechanical design - ie no engineering or artist talent was required. Very unspectacular. Area covered with graffiti with a threatening atmosphere. Don’t bother.

2 years ago Kristaps Kalnozolsevaluates this place as follows:

Nice place with impressive view. In summer evening are happening culture events. There are located beer pub Stalin, for drinks. Entrance is free and available for every one. For my prague visit, this was the most memorable place and event. Place is not visited by tourists and it's possible feel local vibe

1 year ago Diana Biddle: it is necessary to add to this place:

Amazing sight to see, but it did not appear to be working while we were there. The graffiti was distracting and unfortunately took away from what could have been a lovely ambiance overlooking the city.

11 months ago Aiden Schneiderwrote only this for this place:

Definitely one of the most beautiful castles I have ever been to. The architecture is so beautiful and the garden is eye-catching and very calm. I loved the fact that there were very little people and the it was possible to explore everywhere without any restrictions. An underrated gem in Prague.

10 months ago Алиса Фильчаковаsaid the following about this gem:

The castle is very beautiful! The courtyard area is charming! Despite my poor Czech language, some castle workers came up to me and told me its history, when i was there in summer. It was nice! But when i ran into the courtyard 20 minutes before closing to take a picture of the castle in the snow, one of the workers was rude to me that the gates were already closing and we should get out of here. Although there were still 20 minutes!

1 year ago Kati Murphy- why does he think this place is on the list?

The palace has a permanent exhibition that includes rooms and their paintings as well as sculptures. There are also temporary exhibits that are always worth peeking into. Sometimes there are events on the grounds of the palace and we were lucky enough to be there during the French food and wine festival. Very close to the zoo and botanical gardens, so well worth the trip out of the city center.

1 year ago Sarka Bejckova (SharkieBe)described this experience as follows:

I visited the Trojsky zamek on my walk from Bohnice to Troja. It was late afternoon and the gardens were still opened. There were almost no people so I enjoyed the beautiful calm garden, the views and also the apple trees growing there.

We went for the October fest there. Was nice, but not as fun as in Germany. Prague Mayor attended the event and poured beer for people. The mayor & his stuff were very welcoming. Beers were very nice, prices were a bit more expensive than in restaurants in prague but it was still pleasant.

10 months ago Hana Hillerovawrote only this for this place:

Hall 22 of the Market is an authentic place to buy farmer products. Look for stands that sell seasonal produce direct from their own farm. Open each morning until noon, closed Sundays.

What our travelers says:

11 months ago Antoniu Guguwrote only this for this place:

Very nice park, in the autumn when there are fallen leaves it's an absolute pleasure. There very big green open spaces, it is not crowded even on weekend afternoons. It's perfect for jogging or sports, on the part towards Bubenec is hilly and good for running uphill or hiking a bit. There are places where the trees have a label with the species on it, as would you find in a botanical garden. There is also a beautiful lake here where ducks roam freely. Lots of benches, playgrounds, a planetarium and there are spots from you can buy coffee and hot beverages.

1 year ago Maryam Klidsarwrote only this about this place:

A lovely park in Prague where you can find peace and enjoy the great views. There are playgrounds for children there so it suits families with kids as well. There are numerous seats throughout the park so you can enjoy sitting there and soaking up the lovely atmosphere

1 year ago Athiná Papadiamantidescribed this experience as follows:

Amazing park! It's really big so you can get lost walking and admiring the nature! Even if it's full of people you can still find spots to relax away from others.

1 year ago Peter Agoston- in short, this experience can be described as follows:

Classic, multi venue park. Ponds. Fountains, hillsides, a palace, playgrounds. The whole family will find his / her favourite activities here. Absolutely recommended park.

Královská Obora Stromovka, commonly known as Stromovka, is a picturesque and historic park in Prague, Czech Republic. It is one of the largest and oldest urban parks in the city, dating back to the 13th century. Originally a royal hunting ground, Stromovka now serves as a peaceful green oasis for locals and visitors alike. The park features extensive tree-lined pathways, serene ponds, and vast open spaces, perfect for leisurely walks, picnics, and outdoor activities. Letna Park
We rate 9.2/10!. This place was visited and rated 25132-times

What our travelers says:

1 year ago David Dexplained best how he liked it:

Possibly the best spot to watch the sunset in Prague. Vegetation has grown since some of the pictures you can see online, so it is not as nice as it used to be. Other than that, it is a nice enough park to stroll around but I would not get out of my way to visit it. There are toilets available, but portable.

1 year ago Michael Barton: it is necessary to add to this place:

This city park is gorgeous during the fall, and offers wonderful views of the city year round. You'll have a fair climb up to the park from street along the river, but you can use stairs ir a very long ramp. The park has many fields, walkways, and benches. There's also a skating park area and a pond. It's a perfect place for a date, walking dogs, playing with your kids, or spending some time alone.

11 months ago berke ayranciogluwhat can I say about this place?

One of my favourite locations in the city, I suggest visiting this park. The view of the city is amazing from the park. Also you can see the culture of graffiti clearly. Park was really peaceful when I visited, locals were doing their morning runs and walking their dogs.

1 year ago Paul Copcea- why does he think this place is on the list?

Huge park, lots of stairs tough, but once you get up you’re very well rewarded with this amazing view of City of Prague. A lot of places to chill or even have a bath. You can even train in there or do other activities.

1 year ago Maria C.wrote only this about this place:

The park is enormous and full of things to explore. There is a lake to enjoy, sculptures to see, benches to read and sit down to take in the view, plenty of green and activities you could engage in.

1. place deserves Prague Zoo

Prague Zoo
We rate 9.6/10!. This place was visited and rated 54928-times

What our travelers says:

10 months ago Eszter Parnicsanhow did he rate it?

Visited on a Tuesday in November. The zoo was practically empty, so it was an amazing experience walking around and seeing the animals without having to queue or worry about other people. It was definitely the best zoo I have ever been to. It took us the whole day to explore and walk around, by the time we finished it was closing time and we were absolutely exhausted. The design and the layout is fantastic and we had an awesome time. We stopped at the restaurant too and I must say the prices weren’t too bad it being a zoo restaurant. We had Goulash and it was fantastic, very tasty. The zoo is also very easy to get to, we took the bus and a tram. Worth a visit for sure!

10 months ago Bat Manhow did he rate it?

One of the best zoo's i have visited. Great people, great place. Everything is organized. There are restaurants in the zoo near the elephant enclosures. In summer take your vitamins or glucose, you gotta walk a lot and it gets really hot. There's a reception near the entrance where you can buy the tickets or buy online if you don't want to stay in the queue. In summer and public holidays it gets crowded.

11 months ago Ebtisamevaluates this place as follows:

I must say it's one of the best zoos I have ever been to! From start to finish, I was captivated by the incredible array of animals and the well-maintained enclosures. The variety of species present here is simply astounding. I was thrilled to see everything from majestic lions and playful monkeys to exotic birds and fascinating reptiles. Each exhibit was thoughtfully designed to replicate the natural habitats of the animals, allowing them to thrive and providing visitors with an immersive experience. The zoo grounds were also beautifully landscaped, providing a serene and inviting atmosphere. There were plenty of well-placed benches and shaded areas to rest and take in the surroundings. The overall cleanliness and upkeep of the facilities were commendable. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable experience. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a family with kids, or simply. الحديقة مرة جميله وموجود فيها الدب القطبي.

1 year ago Jonathan Hodginswrote only this for this place:

Amazing zoo, went early on a weekday so it was very quiet and all the animals were getting fed. Best zoo experience I've had. I feel bad for the polar bear, luckily they are building a newer and bigger polar bear enclosure soon. The food in the zoo was surprisingly good value and the bus brought us from our campsite to the entrance of the zoo which was handy. Great value and great experience!

1 year ago j h: it is necessary to add to this place:

One of the better zoos I have visited. This attraction is included as part of the Prague Cool Pass. You should plan on spending the whole day here if you do visit sinxe there was so much to see. There is a bus stop right outside the zoo so getting to the zoo from Prague center city was very easy and convenient. The zoo was very well designed and planned so that you can walk through the entire zoo easily without getting lost or wondering if you've been to an animal exhibit already. There are also plenty of benches and restrooms too to rest. There was so many fun and exciting animals to see including an opportunity to walk through the kangaroo and wallaby area. I was very impressed. It was a great way to spend the day as it was a nice break from the historical attractions.
